Fill Probe

On the one gun I have that uses a probe, I just insert it when I need to fill and remove it when done. After 4 years I had to replace the o-ring at the end of the probe, as it was cracked and nicked and would leak while filling. But I must have gone through 200+ fills (with a hand pump, if it matters) before it failed. And I was able to continue using it for a bit by keeping it excessively lubed. But the grease is more expensive than the o-ring it turns out. I bought a baggie of 50 for a couple of bucks at the hardware store. The ones that came with the probe were polyurethane and I replaced the defective one with a buna-n. It works just fine, even though they are mismatched. That o-ring at the end of the probe can get beat up and I think perhaps the slightly softer buna o-ring can take a little more abuse. I'll know if it goes more than 4 years before needing a replacement.

Airgun Technologies  Nothing like the Drozd.............at all??

I am asking if people know or anything that comes near my newfound
What are you talking about ????

Have you seen anything besides Drozd being able at firing so fast and hard at the same time or just near it??

Please write what you have seen, heard or know of firsthand.

Nautilus Gen 2 1x30 – First Impressions & Review

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up the new **Nautilus Gen 2 1x30 red dot optic (https://vector2007.com/products/scrd-26ii-nautilus-1x30-red-dot-sight-1?_pos=2&_sid=2b9b7f327&_ss=r) and wanted to share my first impressions after some initial range time.

**What I like so far:**
- **Smooth zoom and reticle response:** The magnification ring is firm but fluid, and the reticle stays crisp even under recoil.
- **Excellent daylight clarity:** The image is bright and high-contrast, making it easy to pick up targets quickly.

**Things I’ve noticed:**
- There’s a brief moment after recoil before the image fully settles at high magnification — could just be a quirk of the optic’s design.
- At max power, there’s a hint of edge distortion, nothing major but worth noting for precision shooters.

**Testing so far:**
- Tried it in bright midday sun and during low light — both performed well, with the illumination making a real difference at dusk.
- Planning to run it through some longer sessions and maybe a competition setup to see how it holds up under extended use. also i have noticed that during adjustment (up an low) you should be more carful not to damage contacts which are mounted on iternal tube.

**Overall:**
It’s shaping up to be a solid performer — versatile, clear, and user-friendly. I’m curious to hear from anyone else who’s running the Gen 2 1–30, especially if you’ve compared it to the Gen 1 or other high-magnification LPVOs.

Feel free to ask questions or share your own experiences!

Fed-Ex lost another one! Just in case someone might see it

I one time had a fedex claim. Was quite awhile ago on a compound bow damaged that I sent to someone. The claim ended up getting paid and the process actually wasn’t horrible. They had the recipient take photos of the box, damage and all the packaging materials inside. Certainly in the desire of claiming improper packaging. That was definitely a lesson. Pack your things you send well and maybe even document it with photos ahead of time. Unfortunately buyers are basically at the mercy of the sender. If the person sending you the item doesn’t pack it well the shipper isn’t paying the claim. With fedex the claims are (or at least were at the time) paid to the person shipping as they are the “customer” in that situation. The buyer better hope the seller is reasonable if they didn’t pack it well as they will get nothing . It’s a jungle for sure. As I said that was a long time ago and fedex paid for replacement parts. I work for fedex freight, a completely separate entity from fedex one which is what I believe ground and express are referred to now. It’s my understanding they are under one umbrella even though the different names may still exist. Maybe being a fedex employee helped in that instance I don’t know. 🤷‍♂️

FX  Help: FX M4 / Macro Adjuster I can't return it to original position

You certainly helped me and accomplished your goal. Haha. When you said spiral, I thought of some spiral stairs. Then when I disassembled it , made perfect sense. More like a “cam” with my SC public education. 😄 I was in full panic mode because Talon and done the tune and it shoots very, very, well. Thanks again sir.
Definitely like a cam lobe. Like a roller cam with steps on the lobe.

Here's the fun aha moment. It's nothing more than repeatable increasing pre load for the micro. So technically you could come across the same tune with different numbers on each and still get slightly different harmonic qualities.

Airforce  Huben Power Regulator on a Condor SS .25 vs Stock Tank

Thank you
Yes, I did see that in one of your videos.
And I have begun looking for one on the internet
The closest I have come so far is from Ali Express

Do you think a call to Airforce might drum one up?

Edward
Airforce for sure has them. I think they use them for degassing. OR they might even have a special tool just for that. Maybe give em a jingle - super nice folks over there

UPS Shipping

Ahh, try USPS and you will be lucky if 6 out of 7 aren't weeks late or months late. 1 day, you should smile in this day and age.
I'm fairly happy with USPS. Only one recent issue. Not the fastest but when they say it is out for delivery it gets delivered that day.

UPS "out for delivery" is only advisory.

Harpex Aquiles pellets

550-600 fps in your 77?
I want to try them and the Abomb looking ones.
Didn't croni yet but just shot 6 and all hit within a 1 inch and i didn't sight in . just shot . hard hitting . the mold could use a bit of polishing , but this s a complex shape to punch . Oh loading the 77 muzzle up , they stay in the breach but no resistance loading .
Tomorrow AM squirrel after sighting in scope .

Does your head spin?

Noob to this level of airguns. I have been scouring the WTS PCP's and learned you can spend crazy amounts of money on airguns. I started looking at retailers sites....just so much!
I enjoy shooting and it is so nice to be able to shoot in my neighborhood backyard.
My big question is....how do I figure out what I need and can you try out different types of brands and models anywhere local?
I would like to be able to hunt squirrels and nuisance animals. Plink/target. I have easy access to SCBA compressor and cascade.
I am thinking .22 or .25 and around $500 to get started.
Any suggestions?

This is really simple. Cabela's/Bass Pro and Academy have the Crosman 3622 kit with pump for around $250. Super light, fun to shoot, accurate enough and power enough for squirrels and rabbits. And the rifle is little, light in weight and gets 24 shots at 16 fpe out of the box.

The other no brainer is the Gamo Urban. Made in UK, shoots like a laser. Mine runs CPHP into the same hole at 20 yards and will shoot 20 shots at an average of 26 fpe, low 24 and high 28 on a Bell curve. Out of the box it did 30+ shots at 22 fpe. The Urban is very accurate, compact, not too heavy to carry and just feels good shooting.

FX  Beginner with FX Impact M4 Extended

Contrary to what people say, I think that a high-end, adjustable PCP like the Impact or something similar is a good choice for a beginner - just don’t start messing with the controls right away. 🙂

I'm a "buy once, cry once" kinda guy (many times over 🙄) who believes that it's worth waiting/saving to get good quality equipment.

The Impact is a PCP that you can grow with and if your retirements change you can adjust the power and/or caliber if needed.

Cheers!
Buy once cry once is the truth. Had I just done that I wouldn't have spent double. Buy the big bad gun, compressor, scba or buddy bottles and high quality optics. If you don't, you will be later.

For the passing readers, you don't have to do this all at once. A cheap Shoebox clone compressor with a converted paintball tank buddy bottle is relatively cheap(for this hobby) an increases your shooting enjoyment exponentially.

I chose to shoot my 1322 for 2 years and save for what I really wanted instead of compromising. The gun is fantastic box stock if you don't chase power and velocity numbers and the accessories pushed on youtube.
