scope rings

Im not sure, one of 4 guns, AEA Pro .357, FX .30 bulpup or .25 or , .177 air ventri bulpup
Given this list of airguns and the optic, it seems like you would be able to use low rings with the exception of the AEA pro, which might have a problem with the clearance between the mag and mounted optic. You could face a problem though with the low rings being too low for your eye depending on the structure of your face and how your cheek rests on the rifle. What I would do is create some gages that will allow you to determine where the center of your eye naturally rest when you have the rifle comfortably mounted to your body and your cheek. If you have a table saw, these gages can be made by cutting some 1/2” plywood into strips that are 8” in length and 0.9“, 1.0”, 1.1” and 1.2” in width. The long edges should be parallel. Determine the center height of your eye by holding/mounting the rifle and having someone rest the smallest gage on top of the rail with its 0.9” dimension perpendicular to the top of the rail. The gage‘s end should be fairly close to your eye, so you might want to wear some eye protection when doing this. Sight down the top edge of the gage to determine if your eye is low or high. If your eye is high, and your cheek is comfortably rested, then the current gage you are using is too low, and thus a mount with a centered height of similar value to the gage will not work for you. Repeat for the next size gage until you find the one where you need to lift your head a bit off the cheek piece to sight down the gage. The height of this gauge will determine the center height of the mount you should look for. Another thing to consider is eye relief or the required distance between the scopes eyepiece lens and your eye. Some rifles have rails that do not permit the optic to be positioned forward or rearward enough for some people without some kind of cantilevered mounting system. I ran into this issue on my Panthera, which required me to utilize cantilevered rings. I don’t think you will run into this issue given the airguns you have listed. As for mount quality/price, I think it is very hard to beat the UTG pro poi offerings at the moment for the optic you will be mounting.

Open season in a couple hours, who's going hunting after voting?

Well on the way home from work the traffic was still a bit busy, but I still got a couple though. I'm surprised how many are still out there.

Not all was the preferred corrugated plastic. But when traffic is zooming by, there is no way I'm going to pick thru them, at least until I got home.

Somebody asked me if I was finally going to pick all of them up in the area. I was like "Uh, I'm just doing my part to clean up some of this stuff, funny how people put this stuff up, never thinking who is going to clean up after them huh?" They gave me a thumbs up and kept on walking.

N/A  1st shots

Got the step pin made it has .005 taper on end to allow for tap fit and lock up, I will depth check it to make sure it doesn't go into internals. When I eventually pull gun down I'll match drill and ream locations for both bases. I was impressed yesterday I put 2 shots a 1/2" apart at 50 yards just leaning on shop door in the end of a PC.
of firewood. I stopped didn't wanna blow the 3rd shot.

N/A  Avenger Bullpup II .25 vs ???

I have a 20% coupon for and could get the Avenger Bullpup II (2) in .25 for $369 to the door.

Are there any other powerful bullpups for a similar price that'd be better? More shots / fill?

I have a regular Avenger but it's so long. Wanting shorter. I see the XM1 Bull Shark is getting hype but it doesn't seem as powerful and isn't available on the site.

What's max FPE people get out of a stock .25 Avenger? Is 60 FPE possible?

I could get a tube version of the collapsing stock Avenge X .25 for $482 to the door. Idk if I'd wanna shell out $113 more bucks for another long gun.. And they don't sell the bullpup Avenge X for some reason.

Thanks!

Big Black Bird Down

I have a number of dairy farm permissions that I shoot pigeons and starlings at (mostly). I get some woodchucks at them too in the warmer weather. I generally leave crows alone as they tend to act as my "cleanup crew". ( they pick apart / carry off / eat the dead pigeons ) One of the property owners once asked my why I passed up on them - he was cool with that. As others have mentioned - they are very intelligent.
If theyre not being problems I will try and shoo them away before a shoot is needed. Rodents starlings and pigeons are on-sight tho. Raccoons just entered the menu since there's a gang rooting up lawns for grubs. I'm unsure if raccoons are like crows, where you cap one of them in front of their homies and they don't come back for a year.

Orcair chrono

(Full disclosure - this is a competitor product for me)
I did a full deep tech review on a very similar (looks identical - but different brand off Ali) muzzle mounted Chrony - 40min video if you cant sleep.

Overall it wasnt too bad - great fit & finish, if it works - then it'll be ok
Issues - internals & longevity i have some big concerns over, installing the app was turning off my phones security & downloading a file from a Chinese server, no ability for large calibers or over moderators - anything other than 1/2 UNF, didnt check the accuracy against my certified chronys - from memory it couldnt tell the difference between 1,000 & 1,005 fps - which isnt too bad, usual fiddly buttons & painful programming sequences to deal with - set modes, change pellets etc

Have a look on the AGF UK forum, a lot of them have been purchased - under a different name "Air Force one"

Crosman  1720T field target practice

I use pistol scopes on my pistols,no need to get your eye close to the pistol scope ;lBurris 7x pistol scopes on that pistol
My scope is 12x, the max limit for pistol field target. I’m sure it has a better field of view and ranging capabilities than a 7x. Also, my parallax adjusts from 10m to infinity.
As for holding my eye closer or not, it’s moot. I’m shooting hunter class with a bipod. For off hand shots, I’ll use a “taco” hold.
