FWB  FWB 100 trigger adjustment

well as a trigger nerd i will say that the trigger is complicated and if the screws are frozen and can't be turned than a new set of problems are at hand i screen shot the trigger assembly to enlarge it
question how the trigger feels to your liking
i lot of time the last owner has done all the heavy lifting and set it up, in what i call good enough
this type of trigger will make changes at a very slow rate and it is like you are at the eye doctor as he flips the lens back and forth
my point is there a perfect or is the good enough okay
i have been there and told myself put the screwdrivers away and shoot the damn gun
so lets take a look
1 and 2 are self explanatory
5 should be close as the trigger over travel stop
11 screwed in would put pressure on the sear and make the trigger have more weight out is lighter
9 i have no clue what it does
and that leaves 3-4-10
i am guessing 3 screwed out will lighten the trigger
and 4 is push the sear up
and 10 i am not sure

never had the pistol and i have to use some logic as to what does what and if i am wrong i wrong
one thing as you know is work one screw at a time and if you move them write down what you have done because where you are at might be where you would always end up
make sure you have good tools that fit the screws or hex and good luck i have done what i can on this one

N/A  .22 Cal Custom PP800 Pistol

ThomasT , the Jumbo RS 13.43gr are doing OK for me . Glad I have some pics to remember what pellets I was using. Lol I can get around one inch 5 shot groups with CPHPs at 20y.

Are you using Hades ? I have some but haven't tested them for accuracy yet in the pistol. Oops is see you were using Jumbos .

I found a target like yours from 6 yards , so close to your distance, and using a reddot. Yours looks much better but I think it was my first try . I'll blame the pistol format . Lol That target is not easy to shoot at a greater distance with a dot . Great shooting btw .

I tried a string today. First time since turning the power down. Your strings have a better SDs and ES for sure. My chronograph missed 3 and I threw the last one under 550fps out . So around 30 shots if a larger ES is acceptable. That's from 1800-800 bar a little under the 200b fill. Nice job on your low power tunes and great information.

Hello @Headshots

I have shot some of the 13gr along with several others and they shot OK.

Yep a Red Dot Scope covers up the Bulls Eye on most paper targets but still fun to shoot at 😁

Try shooting this Red Dot Scope Target, I designed it just for Dot Scopes.

What driveway dinger?

That's the same one I have. Never tried it with a transformer. Haven't had any issues with it talking to the base, either, with it placed in a metal workshop.
I can't remember what the recommended height for the xmitter is, but I had to do a little finagling with it to work. It wouldn't pick up a family of raccoons at 20ish feet. I had to raise it up a little higher and mount it tipped back before it would trip. The larger the target, the better it did. I did notice it had a somewhat slow response time.
Most people seem to put it pretty close to the target zone when chasing rats due to their small size.

Western Airguns  All Things Western Rattler 357 & 45 - Master Thread

Here's some thoughts as to some swaged slug experiments with the 45 Long Strike...

The slug's were made from re-sizing different manufacturer's slugs that ended up weighing around 285 grains, are hollow points with a deep dimple in the back about .890" long, traveling 760-765 fps.

What I found interesting is the slug's lead density and slight weight differences between slug manufacturer's seems to matter as to the group size, even with slugs being within a few grains of each other (probably due to things like barrel leading, how hold sensitive the auto-loader is, and probably my own "errors"). I kept the groups all between 1 moa and 2 moa for the most part at the varous long range yardages. Because I have the power wheel maxed out for 6 + consistent shots with 335 grain, 1" slugs and didn't adjust it, it seems the excess air may blow around these lighter dimpled slugs some.

I did manage a single 1/2 moa 5-shot group out at 175 yards, but the rest of the goups were not worthy of a picture so I didn't take a picture of that one good group.

New guy question.

Filling a large tank is one thing, topping it off is whole nuther dealio.
I have had a Shoebox Booster/Compressor for about 10 years and while there is maintenance at specifically given intervals, it in general lasts a long time. Some say that it's too slow....well, it IS if you're FILLING a large tank.
However, if you're TOPPING OFF a large tank, say from 3,800 to 4,300PSI, it takes about 35 minutes and allows the Box to run a minimal amount of time in doing so.
Using the Box minimally instead of FILLING a tank (or a larger variance than the above), I find that it lasts much longer and is gentler on the equipment. Only filling to 4,300 instead of the 4,500 mark also allows less stress on the machine. I would imagine that this tact should also be something that ALL compressors would benefit from (?).
This has been my experience anyway.
YMMV

Airforce  Quietest moderator

I know it's not the popular choice, but TKO moderators will make you what you're looking for I'm pretty sure and they are darn quiet. I have several moderators, 0db, DonnyFL, etc, and the TKO is the quietest of all. I know it sounds crazy, as the TKO cost less than half the cost of the others, but it sure works!
Do you have their info and have you tried any of theirs

Gamo  Swarm Whisper

Did your groups get any better or worst, or no real difference? This sounds pretty drasti.
I think it helped .. I got some gamo group threads here I think . I done hatsan and he with that .. like I said don't go silly and scrub the heck out of it . Just a few pulls to smooth out and rough spots or set in grime . Lol

Air Arms  Sighting in TX200HC after relube

The 4.5x size marked on the JSB/AA tin label is nominal, and has no bearing on the diameter of the pellet head nor skirt.

The important information is the die number, and date of manufacture. If your rifles shoots best with a particular die and date, buy as many as you can.

Air Venturi  Will not hold pressure

I don't know if your found your leak yet? But I've been finding a common leak that sounds like it's a valve leak but is in fact an external leak from the receiver block.

The pin is called an axle on the schematic drawing. If you remove this part from the airgun and it's easy to pull away, the orings are junk. They've been dry rotting. It's an easy fix but a frustrating one to find if you don't know about these orings.

I've replace these two o-rings twice already - along with many others - finding the same thing - o-rings are deformed and both hard and brittle. These are also an o-ring that the kit includes in two different durometers (70 & 90) - same size but different softness - if you gently squeeze the o-rings sideways, the softer ones easily squish out of round between fingers and the higher durometer ones are noticeably stiffer - require effort to deform them - only obvious if you have one of each to feel the difference.

The brass "plug" that the block fits into also has had deformed and brittle o-rings on it for me but I had to make a tool to unscrew it without damaging it.

Which would you prefer and why?

All things being equal would leave velocity and mass the same and the smaller projectile would penetrate further.

All things are not equal and thousands of ballistic studies, ALL of the ballistics manuals and any calculator you find online will tell you that speed = penetration.

It's more than a good idea, it's the law*.

*ballistics law

That's why I said all other things being equal, with it being clearly implied that the variables were the velocity and mass (my example of 16 vs 18gn pellets shot from same gun with the same tune). Your comment of "speed = penetration" does not apply in that very very common scenario, and likely would confuse people to think that the 16gn pellet would get more penetration than the 18gn simply because the 16gn is moving faster.

For hunting purposes (the crux of this thread), speed does not equal penetration. Momentum = penetration. The 18gn pellet would have more momentum and would get more penetration.

Stoeger  Quick Stoeger XM1 review

Hello, I have been a small dealer since last year and have always struggled to find quality guns in a lower pricepoint. Although I have sold some nicer guns many people new to the sport just can't or won't jump onto the high end guns at first. I got in a variety of calibers of Stoeger bullsharks and scouts today. As always I like to throw a few patches down the barrel. The bullpup is 9 rounds in .22 and the rifle is 10 rounds in .22. I mounted up some Bushnell Prime scopes because I feel like you get a lot for your money when they mark those down so low. First thing I noticed is these both seem to easily try to double feed so you have to watch that and never force the lever. Its something you learn to watch for in certain guns. The targets are 35 yards and this was the first mag sent through these guns so some more fine tuning needs to happen but I always atleast do this much before selling a gun. They both came full of air so obviously no leaks. They are regulated. They claim to be factory suppressed but I always prefer to add moderators. They seem to shoot great for the money. I feel like these a good addition to retail sales since they perform well at lower pricepoint.

Anyone with a Stoeger Bullshark in .25??

My P35 in 25 seemed to get significantly more accurate with JSB MKII heavies when I added the Extreme Airguns plenum. It got me up around 800 fps instead of down around 730 fps. I would think the Bullshark would be 20-30 fps faster due to the longer barrel. Stock my gun seemed to shoot best with H&N FTTs (which are only 20 grains). Doesn't look like Florida Man's bullshark like them even a little bit, however.

Anyone tried gopro 10/11/12 solo cam?

If you're talking about trying a newer GoPro for a film-through-scope system the question is, who has developed a system to mount the newer GoPro's to a scope? I've been wondering this.
Eagle vision have already made a mount and lens for the gopro 10/11/12. But it is like $344USD or 310 euros. Not including shipping. My question is. Have anyone order one and try it out. Cause I can not find any video of anyone using it. Cause the gopro 10/11/12 can record in 4k 120fps and 2.7k 240 fps. I have the old gopro 7 with eagle vision 12mm lens. But it will only do 2.7k 120 fps or 1080p 240 fps. I wanted to know if its worth the upgrade to get an gopro 11 or 12 and also get the eagle vision mounts. Both together will total about $600-700. Or just stick with my gopro 7.
