Umarex  Notos gauge block

I'd be interested in one
got a call a little while ago, had to bring the gauge block back over to the machine shop
while i was there he had to do a pass on the bock i had bought as it was not flat on the guns mating surface
anyone have one of these blocks? according to him it was machined a tad off and he thinks it would cause the air cylinder not to be in line with the barrel
he showed me on mine couldn't see with the naked eye
anyone had this issue?
having him polish the inside of the block to a mirror finish.

Bushnell the older ones!

I keep a weather eye out for old made in Japan Bushnell scopes, I am shopping for my Hatsan Blitz and don't have the toy fund to support an optic at this time. I've been accumulating powder burners for 50 years now, no one would call it a collection, collections have themes. :) Guess what I found in the cabinet, Bushnell 2.5 X 8 42 mm it is a high end Bushnell and will do very nicely for the Blitz. Thanks to improvements in Multicoating primarily the new scopes are brighter. This old Bushnell is quality we don't see anymore.
Quick edit: SWEET, pulled the rings off, it's a Scopechief VI the nee plus ultra of the Bushnell line, BTW black magic marker perfectly matches the factory gloss finish. This one is going on my new Blitz. Another week or two, can't wait!

How tight is too tight? Seneca

proper sized slugs in a barrel you would push inth chamber and about 5 to 10 pounds pressure to go threw barrel at choke , those eungin pellets are a bit larger diameter then say jsb I used to use them in my exanix ar6 , back to airforce they have had many different barrels in size try pushing ammo into breech and pushing threw with your cleaning rod like i said 5 to 10 pounds pressure , like my condor i run slug barrels in 22 and 257 , I did cut in breech to allow slugs to chamber , but a normal pellet barrel by a newer airforce may not even have any breech work so if you cant even seat in breech they not for you if you cant even puch them threw barrel , if you have say a vernier caliper or micrometer , dave corbin told me decades ago push 6 pelletsd threw barrel and exit out muzzle and measure all write down add togeather and divide by 6 and ass .005 or 1/2 thousanth this is proper sixe for a slug , however with pellets the head is a whisker smaller then the skirt the head or round part may be larger then your breech let us know LOU ,

Hatsan  Ways to tune up a Hatsan airtact .25 cal?

The first thing I'd tackle is that horrendous trigger. Here’s a great article that’ll help you sort it out https://michaeljbernard.wordpress.com/2019/03/23/2019_03_23_airtact_trigger_adjustment
Wow this is something I didnt expect. I was getting ready to just give this gun to someone else, now I know there is potential for it :).

Cant afford a diana hws anything yet (or rather I don’t just spend the bank just yet) so wanted to work and tune up what I own

I believe there must be some hope for these budget airguns, since most must be based in some way off the more expensive air rifles.

Looking for

This is off of amazon...120 bucks....

SPINA OPTICS 3-15x32 FFP First Focal Plane Rifle Scope Tactical Hunting Riflescopes,Red Illuminated Gun Scope with Free Mount https://a.co/d/eAZuQQr
Take note that the Spina Optics EU Website is defunct due to bad product and reviews. https://tinyurl.com/2aae58vd

Somehow they maintain to operate and sell product on USA Website https://a.co/d/eAZuQQr but take note of the review "China missed the point of a FFP completely" and "included rings came stripped on one ring" and "my turrets are very poor they're crisp, they're clean, but they are not quarter. Inch adjustments"

I've a Spina Optics SFP and a FFP. The SFP is ok. The FFP is a disaster in line with the above review comments.

These are cheap scopes good for plinking and not much more.

Brocock/BRK  Devious Deed, BRK Pathfinder…

Today at the Junior Sportsman’s session at my club, while the juniors were shooting. I let a few of the attending dads fondle the Pathfinder… I was running the line and overheard them talking bout “BB guns”. One of them owns a Benjamin Fortitude. So I pulled out my case and said when the line goes hot… fondle away. To say they were impressed is an understatement, then I gave them the addresses to the AGN and HAM sites… Am going to set up a specific shooting station for the dads in the next session to deeply set the PCP hooks…😈
FWIW
I've been a member her at at GTA for a number of years, but never considered HAM
Thanks @LLeon!
This post of your pushed me over the edge and I joined this morning

Beeman  Beeman chief .257 build

Ive decided to build me a custom .257 chief plan is to get a .257 tj barrel for it and make a new bolt for it and drill out the ports and put in a heavier hammer and heavy hammer spring and bore out the breech for the barrel to fit but the chief tube says only 2000 psi??? I was hoping i could go higher than that
How’s the build going
