Airforce  Air Force valve cap replacement

You can also pry the top hat (the orifice your arrows point to), and valve stem (the part that the top hat screws onto) out of the brass fitting and swap them that way. I used a big screwdriver and tried to be otherwise gentle prying them up and out. Once swapped they might need a light whack with a wooden stick to re-seat enough to close the breech properly.

Diana  How much could 1985 Diana 45 Deluxe Walnut in excellent?

I bought a Diana 45 in 1981 for $200. That was a lot of money back then. That gun later became "butched". I later here some 4 years ago bought a minty Model 45 again in its original box with hangtags for $400. Back in the 1980s that weren`t really good pellets like now. A 20meter shot at a sparrow was considered a long shot. H&N has a waisted(pointed) pellet which was the best. At that time I read articals by Mr. Pelletier who used Beeman Silver Jet pellets which looked an airgunners dream. Today I have shot the Model 45 with JSB 10,34grain which is the best. Best group is about an inch @ 32 yards with ironsights. Lovely gun to shoot. I would say they are becomming rare. If one can find a decent one for $250....Grab it. They are well made.

Sightron vs. athlon?

I agree the big S6 10-60x56 was not designed for Hunter Field target. Mine has what I call a dead spot that take up 2 inches of the wheel between 47.5 yards and 50 yards. Haven't tried it over 16X so maybe I will try that unlimited class next year. Would likely work well for ERB also. The S6 5-30x56 SFP acts more like FT scope at 16x than it's big brother but still nothing to write home about. I do like the mag wheel and real lighted reticle on the big S6 but the documentation for both is pretty lean. I haven't seen any great reviews anywhere but there sure was a lot of pre-hype. I feel like it was a little deceiving of Sightron to call it a FT model and boast about the 16X designation.
I’m shooting HFT at the Shutzenfest in Boerne TX This weekend, I’ll have the S6 on top of my Redwolf. This maybe the S6’s last HFT as I’m intentionally testing it out in an unknown location with unknown targets. Using it on the home turf creates a false sense of ranging ability. If I was shooting open or unlimited and clicking, then the S6 is supreme; HFT at 16x not so much. Stay tuned. The challenge is 35-55 yards, as with all great scopes 16X is still 16X. If I can’t differentiate well this weekend and experience ranging errors, I will move the S6 to my EFT rig. Minding that 9.5 yards to 35 yards is crystal. Last thought is the S6 reticle is very stingy with the holdover markings.

Red/Green Dot Sight

I believe I have a mild astigmatism. It results in the red-dot sort of "flaring out" in various directions, or appearing blurry.

I find I can avoid the problem by adjusting the dot intensity, and sometimes placing the red dot a little further away from my eye.
If you have astigmatism an eye exam should confirm or deny . I do have it & wear bifocals. I can shoot fairly well……never had trouble with even cheap red dots.

Cape Fear Airguns

Yes I started a thread as well. Something must be going on with Newman. I really hope he is doing ok. This is very unlike him as he has worked on a cpl other of my guns. Mine has been there (I hope ) since August 24. I have called , texted and emailed several times just to confirm it arrived (tracking shows delivered) with no response to any of them. Not like him from past experiences.
Yet the modest ($75) order I placed online last week shipped reasonably promptly and has arrived safely.

Umarex  Zelos Hammer Spring Adjustment

I bottled mine, lifted the reg to 2500 (back down at 2350 now) still, any more than a 1/8-1/6 turn and it started shedding velocity.

I'm fine where it is now. I have the .22 and i'm getting 923-931 fps with 21gr slugs, 907 with 22gr and 885 with 23's. 45-50 shots per .5L

I love this guy's products, and he really goes the extra mile for customers.
Thank you neighbor, I am in S. C. I am going going to get in touch with C88 air.

Airforce  Airforce Texan biopod

Mannnnnnn... @Gerry52 Thank you so much for that!!! I was wondering what I was doing wrong!! I understand exactly what you are saying!! I appreciate it!! I wonder why there are no videos explaining that!!!🤔. It was probably in the instructions I of course did not read!!🤣😂

Cheap DIY industrial-strength shaft collars for know-your-limits racks that use EMT

I just now did a quick test of the new Hard Urethane 3/4 EMT shaft collars from shootingtargets7. Since I'm going to use my DIY collars on my KYL rack forever and don't really need the Urethane collars, I figured my test would be mostly to see if the Urethane collars had the same problem as the older PolyCarbonate collars that were too brittle. So I intentionally tried to break 'em by stretching them and over-tightening them. I took the machine screw off of the collar and pulled the "tabs" far apart as if I was trying to wrap the collar around a very large diameter pipe. I had the "tabs" pulled apart about two inches and the collar didn't mind flexing like that at all. Then I put the collar on to one of the legs of my KYL rack (it's the same 3/4 EMT as the cross bar) and tightened the allen screw until the tabs were making contact. I put my weight on the collar trying to make it slip down to the ground and tried to make it twist around the leg also. I couldn't make it move. I didn't try hitting it with a hammer or anything like that because I didn't want to bash up the legs of my KYL rack. For the final test I tightened the allen screw several full turns past the point of the tabs already being flush with each other. I warped the tabs to where they looked like two curved tabs that were only touching in the middle. The collar was still tight and did not crack. Then I took the collar off the leg and set it on a table next to the other Urethane collar that had not been abused (still new). I went in the house for about five minutes and when I went back to the table on the porch I could not tell which of the two Urethane collars was the one I abused. The warped tabs had gone back to being flat. That was interesting!

That was the extent of my test. I didn't put the collars on the cross bar and shoot at the target paddles and I didn't shoot the collar. It's obvious to me that the new Hard Urethane 3/4 EMT shaft collars from shootingtargets7 are not going to crack like the older PolyCarbonate collars did.

Walther Lothar barrels

I was able to get a LW .177 barrel for my Gen 1 Marauder from Tim Hill a few years ago. It was a drop in replacement and it is an amazing improvement over the 3 mediocre Crosman barrels that gave me fits. Not sure he sells them anymore, but I would turn to Airgun Revisions today if I needed another.

Tuning  Where are the "sweet spots" in air gun velocity?

I would not go to that light pellets, shoot some of the 10.4-5-6 grain pellets out there.
and i will agree on the sped 800 - 900+ fps
For the same tune you could probably shoot 10 grain slugs too, i shoot those to 134 yards, and they do A LOT better than any pellet i have tied to shoot to 100 yards.
10 grain JSB KO mk 3 have been really good to me, better than 10 grain Zan.

N/A  New PCP advice

Ended up with the BRK sniper xr Sahara in .22. Put on a 0db 160 and scoped it up. It is a tac driver. That reg makes it so consistent. Now if I can smooth out the trigger… it’s heavy and the second stage break feels gritty and not as crisp as I’d prefer. Hopefully after a few tins of pellets it’ll get better.
Thank you all for your help and recommendations! I’m sure eventually I’ll end up with one or both of the others and probably more haha!

Niksan  Amazing how fast a sub $500 rifle becomes a slightly sub $1,000 rifle

Or a 2200 impact becomes a 7000 impact
If i did anything beyond 40 or so yards I might consider a $2200 rifle.
Shrinking a quarter size POI to dime size, I just can't justify that cost.
For what I do, plinking and pests, close is good enough and my collection of sub $500 rifles ($500 except the Terminator) are more than adequate.
Granted, investment in most of them after purchase, as in this case, can double the price.
The Terminator is the one I invested the least after purchase, is a BinTac modified and all I added were barrel bands and that huge Huma 50 moderator
Most get Moderator, Huben Power adjustable regulator, Scope of variable quality, CF cylinder, barrel bands (custom if necessary), ARCA to picatinny adapter and bipod.

FX Biathlon mk2 tuning

Troy
Obviously, the interpretation of "hard tuned" to be hard to tune, or difficult to tune, colored my understanding
Thank you for clearing that up.
Edward
Finally, after proving to various EU biathlon clubs that I know absolutely nothing about AIRGUN Biathlon I received some emails specifically about the FX MII.

It is primarily a Biathlon 10 meter training rifle that also meets the standards for in door 10 meter sporting class.

The export version can be adjusted between sub 12 FPE and sub 20 FPE.
