AEA  AEA HP Max left cocked?

IMO, traditional tools are the best; handgun or short shotgun, assuming proficiency with them. An air gun for defense is just not a practical option.
As for storage, most air guns are fine if stored charged, in fact it is recommended. Whether loaded or not, it should not be cocked. Preparing it to fire from that condition varies with the specific rifle or pistol. Enjoy your air gun. Make other arrangements for defense.

My best air rifle kill shot on a squirrel yet!

Thanks guys!

Excellent shot! Beautiful office!!!

As an office it's the best I've ever had. I feel fortunate to be able to work from home.
I'll be moving the office to the deer blind soon. If they only knew...:ROFLMAO:

.177 JTS 10.4gr in Vet Compact

I tried some targets at 50 yards and things definitely opened up . There was a mild wind and it was changing from 3 different directions so I'm sure things will tighten up in some calm air. Anyways the 10.4s do give me hope for some half inch groups at 50y . Gives me an idea of what to expect pesting in light winds . It's a .66" average with one flyer thrown out .

Matt Dubber Deep Dives into PRS & the the DRS

Yeah some of those positions I don't even attempt now after my back surgery. I will just say miss and move to next position. The DRS is great but not being able to move the bolt to left is a no go for me as a lefty. I don't like the feel of the panthera with bottle at the rear. I might look at the katran with the good chassis and 700mm barrel that I can switch the bolt. But it is lots of money just for local matches

Scope and Hand Pump for Umarex Notos

I bought a Mantis (Air Venturi, I think..) 3x9 scope and it seems to be good enough for my short range shooting. The parallax is adjustable down to 5 yds, which is nice. I have little experience with any scopes over $100, so that's all I know right now. Unfortunately, the farthest I can shoot in my yard is 25 yards, so I really don't have much use for anything too fancy.

I bought a new but resold pump on ebay. Sometimes you can find name brand pumps for about $50-75, but in the end, most are all made in China anyway.

I am thinking about getting an Avenger, Is the action block on the Avenger still a polymer?

I have an original Avenger in 25 caliber. It leaked initially but has been trouble free subsequently. I am not impressed in the materials used in a couple areas but it works fine and is accurate. I also have three bullpups built by Snowpeak and I think they are significantly better made. My bullpups are P35s which is probably more than the OP wants to spend but SPA makes a lot of fairly inexpensive airguns including some priced very similarly to the original Avenger. The M16A may be in that price category, for instance. Airgun Archery Fun has some as does Krale. Stoeger airguns are built by SPA. Airgun Depot has a XM1 for $229 and a "Ranger" for $349. The XM1 might be a little short on power but I think the "Ranger" would be roughly comparable to an Avenger. But I did not look at the specs very hard, you should before buying one. Also look for on line reviews. I do not believe Avengers are bad guns but I think SPA makes a little bit better gun for the same kind of money.
I had never even heard of Snowpeak until about four or five days ago, but they look really nice I seen a Remington bull pup thank you. It was by Snow Peak too. That looked really nice thank you guys appreciate it. I will look into them some more.

March Pain

Yes, definitely frustrated with the shift. It seems to continually wander over time, which is why I think something is going on with the erector tube/spring. If it was a Sightron, I probably would have the problem solved by now (or a replacement scope). Although it ranges really well, I am switching to the S6, since that scope seems more reliable (well after 4 FT days so far).

Collectible airguns

Whiscombe comes to mind
I don’t know. There’s something about the word “collectible” that I associate with items that are unusual, hard to find and were once affordable. Whiscombes are more like heirlooms or masterpieces while a left handed Sheridan would be a collectible.

Any QD option that hold zero?

If you are not running a large/heavy scope you most likely won't feel the extra weight from using a proper high quality mount. American defense manufacturing, zro delta, larue, spuhr, and scalarworks are a few of the higher end mount. Scalarworks is probably the lightest.

You can run a burris as well just never tried that brand qd. I've ran all the brands above and the only thing I didn't consider was when moving from gun to gun I ran into some rails not being the exact same size so I'd have to adjust the tension on to get it onto the other rail.

If you are running a quality set of rings you should get close if you torque to previous specs when remounting.

Also mil spec won't go on weaver but weaver will go on mil spec rails. So if you bought an expensive mount and tried attaching to the weaver the mounting lug might not fit into the slot.

Just a few things to consider.
