I went to a longer air tube ... converted it to .20 caliber and shoot it tuned for @ 17 fpe. In tube HuMa reg.

Yes sir. One I can just leave in my pickup and not worry about it. Also forward cocking for faster follow up shots and at 12fpe .177 being as quiet as they are I expect more follow up shots on other birds.

Yes compressor is the external force.

usb cycles electronics. Electronic valve controls 100 psi air to piston that moves the compression pistons "Drive Air". 100 psi air can come from shop compressor or be regulated down from the bottle (save the money on the regulator and use shop compressor). Bottle pressure air feeds the air that is being compressed by the 2 compression pistons and boosted to 4500 psi (input can be 800-3000 psi "supply Air").

Standard version uses shop air at 100 psi and splits it for both functions - driving air and supply air to be compressed. It has 2 stages of compression that are sequential (upto 800 psi then to 4500 psi).

Standard version with B2B option - uses only the stage that boosts 800 to 4500 psi (left half).

B2B version - Right and Left stage are identical and both are used to boost "supply bottle pressure" to 4500 psi. You can buy the regulator to regulate bottle pressure to down 100 psi for "Drive" air if you are in the field or you can supply a compressor to provide the "Drive Air" and save money on the regulator.

The 2 American boosters only worked for B2B and only had 1 stage of compression. They were $1250-$1500, I think - heavier, did not cycle automatically. You had to push the button for each compression cycle. I never had any of the American ones. I did have a Haskel Scuba booster and it was a beast .

The peak of my trajectory is about 26-27 yards using a 40mm scope mounted low shooting 14.66 pellets at 640 fps. and sighted at 25. So 22 yards seems just about perfect. It would shoot pretty flat from 20-28 and barely noticeable drop at 30.

I sight mine in at 25 because I never shoot any closer than that. But a couple yards closer zero would be perfect for garden pests from 12-30 yards. You could (almost) hit behind the crosshair and never worry about trajectory until you got past 30.

Knowing that optimum zero point is critical to a good hunting shot. If you are dialing in elevation for each range that's an easy concept to overlook. Shooting at varied ranges and using holdover it becomes really important.

Shooting a scope mounted high really changes things too. Your peak trajectory is farther out. So a big scope mounted high really messes with your close shots and puts your "flat spot" farther out.. If that works then its groovy. But you will need more correction for close shots.

Yeah, I’ve had something like that happen before. Turns out, the O-ring came off the probe and got stuck in the clip, messing things up. Since then, I always keep some extras, like spring retainer clips and O-rings, just to avoid headaches when I’m out shooting. It’s worth checking the diagram for your gun to figure out where it came from, but my guess would be the breech or probe area. Happened to me once, and it was an easy fix once I spotted it.

I shop for pellets most of the time with the Pellet Shop , but lately I see that you have to pre order them. Once my stash is close to being OK, that's when I will take advantage of the offer then. Until then, it's the 150 count cans for me ,

Before I bought my Garmin, I contacted Caldwell and asked questions about it working with airguns. I got an email back that was not encouraging. It said that smaller projectiles, like pellets, could be problematic. Certainly not the, "heck yeah, it works" I was looking for.
The Garmin never misses a shot, so I'm happy with my choice.

Heres the C9 schematic notice the lever assembly is sold as one part unlike the older C Model.

Some may think I don't like JSB pellets because of some of my comments. That is not where I am at. I just have not found them to always shoot better than H&N pellets in my guns. Some guns they do and some they don't. So I always test both. The only ones I've shot today happened to be JSBs because I was sighting in a different scope on my P35-25 and it prefers JSBs. I've seen others who have the opposite experience and I can totally believe that. Guns want what they want.

Mine does too. They should have used a little more SS on that side.
