Evanix  Experience with Evanix AR22 Hunting Master?

Im not any help, however my 2nd PCP ever, was a unregulated .22 Evanix AR6 as I recall, about 20 years ago.
Accurate, inexpensive, powerful and well built it was, however, it was so loud, one might as well be shooting a powder burner!
I did not own it very long, and never disassembled it.
One exactly like yours was my first PCP many years ago. Still working perfectly.

California Folk - New eBay rule ?

I'm so frustrated by this. The fact that you can't even buy parts drives me up a wall.

Has anyone here in CA tried selling an AG recently? Were there any restrictions from the seller's side as well?
There are states you cannot ship to as they consider air guns the same as firearms, and I dont think ebay allows anything over 25Cal. There are probably other additional restrictions too.

Support for Airguns and Airgun Related Products. What's Important to You?

I think a decent manual that illustrates and explains tasks nearly everybody will do plus parts availability at reasonable prices and lead times is the minimum and a lot of airguns fall short. If most issues were not solvable with an o-ring and/or silicone grease I would have been in trouble many times. Crosmans parts process is different with requiring a phone call but it worked well when I needed it.

With respect to overseas calls my tip is to get your phone on wifi and make the call. I've done it several times and never paid more than a dollar. The call goes over the internet so you bypass the steep charges.

Opening day Doe With Hatsan .510 Piledriver, 385gr Mr Hollowpoint, at 60 yards

Good work.
I shot a buck at 80yds opening morning and two does Sunday evening. Buck didn't have a clue what happened when he got hit, jumped and ran for about 20 yards, stopped for maybe 10 seconds then tipped over. Used Panthera 35 cal with 108gr NSA at 950ish. Has 800mm barrel and a Emperor so it's very quiet. One doe was at 20 yards looking at me so it heard the shot, ran 50 yards stopped for a few seconds then ran another 50 and died. The other deer with her, 8 total, had no idea what happened and two of them went over to check on her then left after a bit while the rest were waiting around also about a 100 yards from me.

Ordering Pellets In Cold Weather

Cold air is dry. Warm air holds water. Cold surfaces condense water from warm air.

You don't have to seal the pellets to warm them. They are inside the tins. The warm moist air condenses on the outside of the tin. The air inside is dry and cold. If there is any moisture in there it's frozen and it was in there to begin with.

Same with a scope. You leave your gun in the cold at night so it dosent fog in the morning. Scopes equalize slowly due to the dead airspace inside. When the lenses are the same temp as the air things clear up. Breathe on the cold glass and it works in reverse. It's vapor moisture equalizing with temperature.

Air Arms  TX200SR a blast from the past!

John, you certainly out did yourself on this article. Very informative and the guns are, as usual, very fine examples of a collectible breed.
Bill
Thanks for reading it and sharing. So many older variations of popular guns are out there that newer shooters are uninformed about. I'm hoping to spread the word.

Anyone gone pesting at dump transfer station New England Area.

anyone use a thermal to try to see moles in the tunnels in your lawn ? MY lawn is infested .
Same at my friends place, at least where the grass is mowed it look like you can jump from one mole hill to the other.
In IR mode they look black where as everything else is some shade of grey.
I often sweep my scope over them but so far i have not seen any activity.

Also mouse holes all over the god damn place, and even some golf ball sized holes which i assume are rats.
How they do it i have no idea, at my friends place the ground water table are only 1-2 feet deep according to maps online.

Ammo selection & care for Webley Tempest

Honestly mine is like a tank. Had it since 1987 and I've beat it up pretty good. It spent many a day in my backpack when I was young and spry. Just basic care, don't shoot slugs or lightweight pellets because mine will diesel with lightweights. It's a fun easy gun to shoot.

H&N Field Target Trophy pellets .

I’m sure your dies wear. When they do slightly bigger pellets are made. I exclusively use FTT IN EVERY CALIBER.

For the target shooters who want every pellet within a grain
make a hand picked tin lot. Charge a buck more a tin ,you will outsell them as fast as you can make them.

EXCEPT ,.30. None yet made. ( hint, sub 40 grain). I know demand is not there for such as most .30 guys are PCP SHOOTERS. PROVIDE me a pellet I’ll build the springer that does 40 + ft lbs. …… I’m working on two now with re shaped current selections 38 grains.

Oh yeah. Don’t ever stop making .20. legends never die.

WHY? Why not. 🤣
I would buy 10+ tins of .30 in the barracuda match if they would make them. Pretty much all I use in .22 and .25.

FX  Make my FX Dreamline compact .22 quiet

A lot depends on the power you are trying to push the pellet with. From such a short barrel, anything over 700-750 fps will have a bark to it. There is not alot of internal baffling to direct the air back so it has to go somewhere. With the reg around 90-100 bar, start trying to back out the hammer spring till you get an acceptable shot report if you do not have a chronograph. Keep the trabsfer port on 22 as the larger opening will only slow the velocity down as the air has too much volume to fill before it starts down the barrel. Low chokes it down too much.

Foxair?

Are they real? Ive been waiting quite a while on some parts that just says “ shipping label created” curious to see if anyone has dealt with them.
There are other AEA dealers also, https://www.aeaprecisionairguns.com/ https://www.bing.com/images/search?...6A1E2FB117&thid=OIP.JBqDdgYT5T51m3vzzM4u0QHaD

could be i don't have the 1/16 liner in it I'm using the 1/18 superior heavy it like these AEA 32 and 30g along with H%N 32G
i have a new 1/16 in the tube buy don't dare touch this one it shoots so good
You're a stronger man than I. I call it the FX Itch (to tinker when not needed). Absolutely no need to fix what isn't broken.

Benjamin  SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED??

We always ship these guns with the stock off and separate. It has nothing to do with saving shipping cost.

If the gun gets hit butt first hard the stock will split at the grip. Much like a Marauder, or Cayden. There is too much weight from the action when assembled.

We take all precautions so you get a gun thats not harmed during shipping.
The factory boxes and molded foam are none obtainable.
The boxes are easy to find and get that way as well breaking the gun down as that .

FX Barrel Liner question

My cleaning rod feels like my 22 700mm slug liner is like yours. There's less choke on the slug liner iirc. Depending on the pressures you run it may or may not obturate the projectile to fit the bore. Pellets for sure do this. Way back when they were smooth till the last couple inches. Being over analyzing and unable to leave well enough alone myself, the best thing I can say is that if it shoots well don't mess with it much or worry much. We are in a different world with fx stuff. Liners, and impressed rifling vs button or cut rifling is a whole other thing, as are liners that some people take issue with(especially if they're from powder burner world previously like me). I wish you the best of accuracy with yours.

New here

So I ended up making the purchase on the arken sh4j genII and I love it so far it’s a beautifully made well built scope. Hopefully I can get it mounted on my barra 250z today because my gun comes today as well I’m super excited I’ll post some pics and info later or tomorrow. I’m south eastern pa and of course it’s raining today so we’ll see. My luck 🤦‍♂️
Welcome to the Rabbit Hole!
I own 3 Arken SH4-J 6X24X50 scopes.
Many folks complain about the reticle being too faint at low magnification. They suit my needs perfectly since I shoot long range and the magnification is never set to less than 12X anyway. It's a fine scope for $320 with lifetime warranty.
I've seen a few reviews with the 250z shooting long range and it seems to do okay. Tuning and the right pellet can get you where you wanna be.
Good luck!
