Mileseey TNV30/TNV60

Anyone have experience with the TNV30/TNV60? I'm looking for a thermal monocular that is relatively clear within 50-75yds. This device seems to be more than enough from the review on the TNV30, but I havent seen anything on the TNV60. I'm going t9 be using this primarily on iguanas. Yes iguanas are cold blooded, but they self regulate their body temps to remain warm and I have personally seen them being identified in most situations when using other thermals.

HW/Weihrauch  HW OEM Parts

Well the rifles r my HW97K and my R9. they both quit cocking. I dropped them off at AirVentura for repair. 2 & half hours away. I was told there would be a 4 to 6 week wait. Ok, yea! can't wait to get them back. After 8+ weeks I emailed them about the status of my air rifles. I was told she would find out and get back to me. That never happened. Then I was told they( Seth) were having problems getting the oem parts. (they only use oem parts for gunsmith repairs, they (Seth) said.) After 10+ weeks I drove up there, ( I had to take a day off work ) and got my rifles back. When I inspected my rifles it looked to me as if they had not even been opened up to see what repairs were needed. So how did they know what parts needed to be ordered. They never said what parts were needed even tho I had asked. It has cost me a tank and half of gas/ 10 hours of my time and a day off work and I have NOTHING to show for it. Anybody know someone local ( Union county,Ohio ) who can help me repair my rifles ?

BOTH quit cocking. Did the triggers go out of adjustment? Remove the trigger mechanisms from the actions and see if you can manually cock and fire it. Here is a guide, it is an HW30, but the same trigger.

Air Venturi 74 CU FT Air Tank issue

Today I received my new Air Venturi 74 CU FT Air Tank I started filling it with a compressor. when is got to about 298 bar it vented a little bit of air as if I had blown a burst disk. What was wierd is after it vented, it went back to filling with no leaks..I know when a burst disk blows thats it it need to be replaced but are thses tanks designed to vent somehow when the pressure get to high? Kinda shocked me so I stopped filling it. It reads on the compressor 268 bar but on the tank it reads 300bar. This is a 4500 psi tank so it should go up to around 310 bar
I have a brand new tank from Pyramid Air and was on the phone for three or four hours with Air Venturi about the same problem. The tank filled OK with a dead head on the whip, but once the tank was up to 300 bar pressure, that relief valve began to give me trouble. I hand tightened the valve as hard as I could by hand but in running a deadhead test, the bleed valve blew at about 200 bar. I could not get the valve tight enough to get past 200 bar without the bleed valve venting. I immediately ordered a replacement valve from Amazon and am going to have the stock valve set removed. Problem is that the ability to 'crack' the main valve results in pressure almost instantly builds up when you do your best to keep it a slow release. The main valve is terrible and I am not able to actually ever able to get the two-finger release that the manual specifies. The valve needs a full hand to open and that is too fast a release for a slow release and the bleed valve. The main filling valve is hard to 'crack' at a slow rate with a dead head installed on the whip. It may be better when going into an airgun but I simply do not trust the bleed valve to last very long when you need a tool to close it. 200 bar seems to be a tripping point for that bleed valve. I just don't trust the setup that comes with the Wingman. It is a pretty cheap valve to keep the cost down. Some folks may learn to live with it but the experience I've had so far gave me an excuse to put a better valve on the tank. Best of luck with your tank. You may have the right touch to find the right fill rate with the stock setup but I could not achieve a fill with a finger and a thumb, as the manual instructs. I needed a valve with a smooth release for a slow fill rate and found it too difficult to consistently get that slow release. It actually gave me the incentive to go for a valve with two manometers; one for the air pressure in the tank at all times, and one for the fill rate pressure in the whip showing the actual fill rate into my airguns. Others may have a lighter touch than I do but my replacement valve set has a very smooth opening and release of air. You might be able to work the value with an empty tank until it is smoother with time. I see this was posted last October, so I hope you have had luck with your stock valve set.

Gauntlet sl30 regulator??

Thanks for the input!
I've looked at Hajimoto regs. and that might be what I go with, but I'm still wondering what other choice might be out there that I may be missing. Hoping to get some real world user input.(experiences)

Remarks:
It was a beautiful day to shoot. It was cool and sunny. Leaves fell throughout the day during the match with light winds. It was the typical fall weather in New England.
Before the match started during sight in, we had everyone do a speed check using a Garmin Xero C1 chronograph to make sure everyone was under 20 & 12 FPE. Glad to report everyone passed.
After a brief shooter’s safety meeting, the match started at 10:10 am. During the match, we had a few cold lines related to strings getting snagged or getting caught on another target.
Stephan stopped shooting after 13 lanes. He later found out using my chronograph that he lost 90 fps in velocity after 7 lanes.
We had a three-way tie for 1st place in Hunter PCP. We had a shoot off among David, Bill and Khoa Jr. We set up a ½" KZ target at 25 yards and 1” KZ target at 45 yards. David F dropped both targets while Bill and Khoa Jr missed the 45-yard target. David gets 1st place. We then moved the 1” KZ target to 25 yards for the kneeling position shooting. Khoa missed his shot while after a couple minutes Bill was able to knock down the target and win 2nd place.
Continental breakfast and lunch were served before and after the match.
Khoa T Sr was generous enough to donate a portable air compressor (to fill a rifle only) to the club.
For the CT state awards, we gave out gold painted Elk face plates for 1st place finishers and wood laser engraved plaques as well. Please thank Cindy M, Mark M & Brandon S for their work on providing these excellent awards.

772 yards .25 FX M3, Absolute MOA/Ravin with Corbin slugs

Another beautiful morning here in Southern Oregon. The wind was light and varying slightly.
When I first got there the prevailing wind was coming from the right but as the sun came up and warmed things, the thermals started to blow up the canyon from the left. Probably the trickiest part of this area is the up/down drafts messing with your vertical. All in all, still a nice morning for shooting.

I did take the time to get a rough measurement of the rock I was aiming at with the Vortex Golden Eagle set on 40x. Looks like a little over 1 MOA wide by about .5 MOA tall.

I almost forgot FORM
you will hate me later....
The new Form stock is great. Takes away the need for a bag rider and adds a little weight to help stabilize on the sticks. Highly recommend.

Atn xsight 5 240fps

I attached the original 240 FPS video file to a PM to you. I tried to e-mail it, but the file is 28Mb and wouldn't send. If you play the original video in Quicktime, it displays as slomo and it's such smoother than in the video I posted above. I think because the video above was all 4 clips merged, the average FPS of the video gets averaged and ended up being 60 FPS. What it does show is how much the resolution degrades as you move up in record speed, which makes me wonder if it's true 4K at speeds above 30 FPS?

Good hunt sort of.

While I did end up killing 4 squirrels this morning I started off by missing the 1st 4 in a row.. the shots were 35-40 yds offhand and trying to thread pellet thru open spaces in limbs but my offhand shooting isnt what it used to be. I did sort of redeem myself by making a 60 yard shot on a big female fox squirrel sitting out in grassy field by a big hickory cutting a nut..Hit her thru the neck DRT. Gun used was my MKII Crown Continuum .22 w/380 mm barrel and 18 gr JSB, they sure make a pop when they hit a squirrels noggin. I killed the last 3 squirrel in less then 10 minutes, had squirrels running around everywhere for a short time.

Nice shooting.

Milton is coming, but there's still time to pick up a great deal on an airgun!

Glad you are safe and your house is intact. Apparently they knew a thing about construction in the late 40's and early 50's.
Well, the sole owner and builder was a wooden boat builder right in Sarasota. I heard from his friends he was an unbelievable craftsman and merchant marine.
