Events  PRS Rimfire Nationals

Keep in mind the other fun thing about PRS is the targets can be whatever they want. We had:

circles
squares
triangles
diamonds
playing cards - club, spade, diamond, heart, big and small jokers
squirrels
sasquatches
bowling pins
various animals - turkey, duck, ram, prairie dog
rectangles - horizontal and vertical
various sized IPSCs

Thanks, PRS22 sounds more interesting to me.

I've a done about 4-5 years of NRL22 here in AZ but the local club MD stopped having them. Also went down to Gunsite for NRL22 after that for a couple years.

And used to shoot PRS and Field Course centerfire matches so I'm a little familiar with them and those were good times. In PRS style, probably 15 years ago, there was a match in NM in which David Tubb showed up. Chase Stroud won, I got 2nd place, and David got 3rd. That and a 2nd in Utah was my best as far as a bigger match goes.

Then won the AZPRC steel championship in 2011 and 2012 which is somewhat Field Course style. I liked it because it was 90% prone off the bipod and rear bag from 300Y to 1450Y on steel scattered all over the place.

I could go do PRS22 in Phoenix and hit steel but since I used to win quite a bit I feel disappointed that my physicality and especially my eyesight aren't what they used to be so I stopped until at some point I can talk myself into trying again just for the heck of it. The other thing is I'd need a rifle better suited for PRS22 or NRL22. These days pretty much staying in my lane doing shooting matches I might stand a chance of winning or getting high score in.

N/A  Switching to PCP

In to the PCP hobby for a month or two now. I have two guns I greatly enjoy, a compressor to fill them with, and an air bottle for the range/field. The grand total thus far? Right around 1000-1300 bucks, the Hatsan Blitz being the biggest piece of that $$$. I'm esp. pleased with my purchasing prowess for El Cheapo my 150 dollar PCP pump. It is getting an oil change today, time to change the cheap break in oil I put in with good synthetic. It has a couple hours on it now, I'll drain the oil through a coffee filter just to have a look. My IR full synthetic oil will be here soon, pd. too much for it, but can't beat delivered in a few hours.

Scope recording, what's the option?

Just my 2 cents. Unless you want to do a decent amount of night shooting stick with the regular glass scope camera ad on options. You give up a ton of quality clarity with these digital scopes plus in my experience (only 1 one leaf commander nv400) it doesn’t auto adjust well to lighting and contrast changes. Just my opinion but you can get such good clear glass for 5-700. Night hunting only with a digi for me.

I dun been robbed!

I’m in the UK, and yep, that’s illegal—6 months in jail and a fine. Most raptor killings happen on gamebird shoot land, where they’re seen as threats. A dead raptor costs nothing, a dead pheasant’s worth 40 quid. Game bird shooting is very popular here and many farmers lease their land for it. Like most evils, it’s all about profit. Breaks my heart.

Somehow one threat in the UK and"ALL OF WHATEVER INVOLVED NEEDS TO BE BANNED, PROTECT THY NANNY STATE"

1000s of raped English girls, 1000s of jihadists openly describing their fantasy of subjugation and execution of the English "kuffars" IN THEIR OWN LAND.... Crickets. How dare you think former ISIS, FSA, SAA, Al-Nusra fighters are dangerous; it's only been a few mass stabbings, a suicide bombing of a teeny bopper concert, and the beheading of Lee Rigby, and you dare suggest this is more dangerous than one child threatening someone with a sub-12 air rifle?

Keir Starmer ..disgusting human. God save you all.

As an American it's so damn sad seeing what's happening in your country. The state has really completely erased knowledge considered most basic of the history of the island nation who dominated the globe for a long time.

I know I probably broke TOS but I cant ignore it. And I'm sure it leaves you nauseated.

Drozd Bumble Bee help please

Well, I fiddled with it a little more last night and discovered that the screw in retainer at the top back of the magazine (for valve stem?) Was not tight. Pulled it apart, did a little cleaning and lubricating, and put it back to together. With a new CO2 cartridge installed it didn't seem to be leaking, at least to my old ears. Took a few shots and hung it on the wall.
This morning, to my delight, it was still holding pressure and shooting fine!

Events  Final N50 Rimfire/Airgun Match October 26 held at FSA in SW Ohio

The final match of 2024 for N50 held at Fairfield Sportsmans Association will be on Oct 26th.

Address: 6501 River Rd, Harrison, OH 45030

This will be a 6 card match so bring plenty of ammo if you want to stay for the 2nd set of 3 cards.

airfield Sportsmen's Association

Group · Members of Airguns at Fairfield Sportsmen's Association
Saturday, 10/26/24, FSA will be holding our second National 50 Benchrest League match. Come compete against some of the Region’s best benchrest shooters. N50 is one of the fastest growing benchrest leagues in the U.S. and we will be following the set of rules found at National50.NET. N50 is designed so that anyone with a .30 caliber or smaller air rifle or any .22 caliber rimfire rifle can compete in one or more classes. And air rifles shooting pellets or slugs can compete in classes against rimfire shooters. Restrictions on rifles and rests have been nearly eliminated and tethering is allowed. However, only “commercially” available pellets and slugs may be used. Gates open at 9:00 AM and shortly after targets will be available for practice and warm-up, we will have a safety meeting at 10:15 AM, and the competition will start at 10:30 AM. The cost of this match is $20 for non-members. To encourage more airgun membership at FSA, the cost for members will be $10.
For N50:
1) Everyone in attendance must bring and use their own ear and eye protection.
2) We will randomly draw for benches. When you arrive, please check-in first and get your bench assignment before unloading and setting up.
3) We will be shooting from steel framed tables that are higher than the benches, so it would be wise to bring an adjustable stool.
4) Sight-in and warm-up is ONLY between 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM. The range will be cold between rounds for safety purposes while cards are scored.
5) The winner will be decided by the sum/total of all 3 cards, and certificates will be awarded for the top three places in each class assuming the 3/5/7 minimum shooter criteria is met. Three shooters in a class are necessary to award a first, 5 to award a second place and 7 to award a third place. The 3/5/7 rule will be ignored if the score of a shooter in a higher class exceeds the highest score in all classes below theirs.
6) We plan to have a second 3-card match (assuming we have enough participants). Cost of the second match is $10 for everyone.
Our loaner gun program, new this year, will be available at this event. New shooters that don’t have the necessary equipment but want to give Benchrest a try are welcome to come out and shoot a great rig. Everything they need will be included (the person using the loaner gun will only pay their match fee). The sponsors of this gun are High Pressure Pneumatics, Predator International, Hawke Optics, and Donny FL. HPP provided an Air Venturi Avenger, Hawke stepped up with a sidewinder, Donny FL donated moderators and Predator sent us a great selection of JSB pellets.
Don’t forget that Baker Airguns is also one of our sponsors and has faithfully supported FSA and air gunning in general for many years. Make sure you consider all these fine companies first when making Airgun related purchases.
FYI – All members of “Airguns at Fairfield Sportsmen’s Association” Facebook group will receive invites to all events.

Snowpeak  PP700 Why ?

Just got another #3 for close pesting. Too many squirrels wrecking havoc on my avocados. This one set to 16 fpe, shorter barrel for more baffles inside shroud to tame the bark down. I like this platform as it's easy to de-cock if I don't get a safe shot. I will be making a more ergo grip for this soon.

What's the deal with Falcon scopes???

My Falcon is 10 years warranty...if I last that long...
I can confirm that for a $1000 piece price the Falcon glass clarity is superior to Sightron. The Sightron only looks better cosmetically.
Ranging @ 50 M is a crisp, at 100 M the DOV starts blending and need a bit of there and back to find a spot.
Sightron owners raise hands who can zoom in to a full power of x50.... the Falcon can do that.

RWS  Did I damage my gun.

I bent the barrel using just the padded vise as described on this thread. Barrel cant looks a lot better but still a slight bend upward. I shot it this morning and it still shot high at 25 yards but able to adjust scope close to bottom. Have about 1.5 full turns left before it bottoms out. Hope that will not harm the scope as the RWS 350 recoil is brutal. No damage noted on stock or receiver and as stated, velocity up to specs (850 fps) so I should have my gun back working fine. I think I am good to go and lucky I had no major damage or injury from my screw up. Thanks for all the replies.
