Vevor compressor

Thanks Sleestak, the family saw me with the old trusty hand pump today and felt bad for the Oldman. I had no idea that they were buying me a compressor for father's day, and all they were doing was trying to surprise me. I'm new to the pcp world and so were they. They are getting me another one. Which of these brands are considered reliable? Rovair, JTS, or Nomad, these are some of the ones they have researched.
Most are some iteration of the other, unfortunately.

This forum board is full of disappointed compressor owners....basically. So it's a good place to find out in what ways different models cause misery.

IMO, for the money the YH is probably your most economical bet. And I use the word bet literally.

Is this how you use you Alkin ??

I bumped my Alkin a little bit, So when it reaches 4,800 PSi , It turns off, I open the two valves on the left lower side , I guess I need to open that third one. But like I said my compressor turns off , So I can't let it run..
Mike
The man I bought my compressor from only had bad things to say about auto shutoffs. In his mind it guaranteed a shorter service life when people allowed them to shut down and not immediately bleed the pressure and restart compressor, immediately being exactly that, not an hour later. There was some rather salty navy language used when he talked about auto shutoffs and the average person.

Atn x-sight 3x9

I just got the Atn x-sight 3x9. During the one shot zero is there any way to adjust magnification. There is an icon that says zoom on the screen that looks similar to an hour glass. I have yet to figure it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I can't find the answer anywhere.
If you have the ltv, the default is at 3 power, no way to magnify during one-shot-zero

FX  Shot my MK 3 Today

Mine can sit and maintain poi from the first shot also.
I really think it's because I'm not pushing the gun to it's max to chase high numbers.
I agree with you about not pushing it to the max.....I actually struggled with mine with the poi change after it sit for any length of time as I didn't really know what I was doing with it. It has been a real learning curve getting it figured out, but I can honestly say that I don't have that problem anymore and I absolutely love it now.....I will not get into what I have done to mine to eliminate the problem as that is a highly debated subject that I will leave to those that know more than me....lol

N/A  Kraford and Lypt… Has anyone received any products from them recently?

To close the loop, my gravity rail did finally arrive. So what I learned from this is: K&L is still in business, and it appears they will eventually deliver on your order… but expect a very long wait with zero communications. Also expect a charge on your card months before the order ships.

The rails I ordered were great quality! I’m very happy with the functionality and performance… I can now balance the guns perfectly on the tripod. The only minor complaint I have is the two rails have slightly different dimensions… so I have to adjust my ball head clamp every time I want to switch guns on the tripod.

At this point I plan to avoid making any future purchases directly from their website.

FFP Scopes and all the hype

There's been times I've dialed for wind but it was only because the wind wasn't switching, so coming from one direction, and target was at a fixed distance.
I think this is the only time that dialing for wind is the preferred method… something like F-class, where you’re shooting a fixed distance and have a rather constant wind.

Other than that, dialing for both elevation and wind is surely inviting Murphy to the party.

Other  Snakebit, again!

No. I`m not even sure it is 100% British made. 2008 production year, so maybe Turkish licensed? Any how - it shoots good, feels good and the stock are well made, even compared to one of his Turkish walnut wildcat brothers......( 😁 )

This thread is about a Venom tuned Tomahawk rifle not standard factory versions and is why I asked.

FX  Bobcat MK2 air leak

Set the Huma to 150bar. Filled it yesterday and after cooldown was cylinder read 230bar. Checked 12 hours later, 230bar.

Fired a 9 round magazine with my cheapo Chinese chrono hanging on the moderator.
All between 877 and 881 FPS
JSB Exact Diablo 44.75gr. 8 rounds at 25 yards essentially hole-in-hole and 1 I pulled due to the trigger.

9 rounds dropped the cylinder to ~205bar.

I'm good with that, not going to try to tune it any better. Do have to tighten up the trigger, just a touch and it fires. Looking in the manual need to lengthen the first stage (A screw) and increase the pressure (B screw).

Down side of that, have to pull the cylinder, take off the stock and turn the manometer enough to get a 2 or 2.5mm Allen to the B screw. I can test the trigger with the stock off, dry fire. Less than optimal design. It sure isn't an easy process like where the adjustments are right on the trigger assembly accessible from the outside.

Haven't decided if I'm keeping it or not. It does fill the .30 Bullpup(ish) slot.

Thanks for all the advice, an excellent rifle back to like new.

Huben  GK1 repurposed!

Nice AJ. As a heads up, I ended up sanding mine a little to make sure that the trigger linkage bar was moving freely.

With the stock added, can you run it at 12fpe in the UK?

No one really knows the answer when it comes to pistols turned into carbines, but as it’s available from Wolfiek with a stock at Sub12 i reckon it’s acceptable 👍

I fired off a mag and the trigger seems fine, but if it plays up I know where to check first, cheers

Air Arms  Does ARH (Maccari) produce full tune kits for Pro Sport/TX200 MKIII anymore?

I do not own a lathe but have occasional need for a new delrin top hat and spring guide. I’m able to reduce the OD on my drill press if slightly oversized so a generic fit could work. What would be a fare price for these given spring ID? Uj
When doing In-House tuning jobs ... A Custom fitted guide and Top Hat is @ $35

New Rear Rest Universal Mount!

Why do you use 4 feet instead of the more common 3? I’d think 4 would be much more difficult to set up and level on different bench tops? Three feet are always faster to set up, especially on uneven and less than perfect surfaces. When you are shooting multiple card matches or are required to swap benches I don't want to be "that guy" who is always last to be ready.

I want one!

It's been cold and windy lately, 4 degrees low a few day ago, so I haven't been shooting much. I'll be using the new rear rest to test my newly rebuilt FX Royale as soon as I get a good day again. I typically only use the gun with a Harris bipod via the bipod stud. For once with this Royale I'll be able to tune with higher capability than previously due to a more consistent hold than before by using THE Endgame, YAY!!!
