N/A  Which .177 carbine is the best choice

Yes, Weihrauch... Air Arms etc... all were meant for sub 12 fpe. They indeed shoot amazingly well at those power levels. I watched Teds video on the full-length rifle, and it was spiraling like crazy at 100 yards. Is it easy to adjust the power for the HW100?

-Matt
Yes, it's relatively easy. The hammer spring adjustment is easily accessed from the rear by removing the rear plate. The reg set point is adjusted by separating the two receiver modules and turning the large adjustment screw. As with most regulators, the adjustment is sensitive. I believe I turned it about a half revolution. I suggest small increments, maybe a quarter turn and then see where you stand in your tuning balance. It's not as easy as some of the externally adjustable rifles, but it's something you may do only one time. You might hear suggestions to do it all with the HST. That might be possible, but if going from 20 fpe to sub-12 level with only hammer adjustment, you will end up with a very unbalanced tune, which would probably affect shot count, consistency, sound, etc. Better to do it properly once and be done with it.

#1 Pay it forward for Christmas...

I can get on board too if needed, i have a original AGT fill station that came with my Vulcan 3, all it have ever done is collect dust in my window sill.
It is a very basic kit, but will do the job just fine.

NO probe of course that followed my Vulcan 3 to Finland

If anyone need something like that to make up a complete package shoot me a PM and i will get it under way.

FX  FX maverick mods / ideas

My simple bipod extension might not be worth mentioning compared to the innovative stuff you have done, but here it is. A lot of times my maverick goes hunting or target shooting in wooded or rocky areas where the bipod isn't used as a support. Instead, the extension tube rests on tree branches or logs or rock ledges or fence posts, etc. when taking a shot. It protects the bottle tank and barrel from underneath too. I call it a bash bar.

That's exactly what i want to see. I know there are plenty of good mods around this forum from posts that i have seen here but there isn't actually one place where i can find them nor a thread/forum that i know of. Thanks for the reply. It's those kind of simple ideas that just make whatever you want to do work that i seek.

Just installed extra high power huma regulator on my fx impact m4 - NO PRESSURE ON REG SIDE OF GUN

Hey fellas, I just installed my hum air regulator last night for an fx impact m4 and I can't seem to get pressure on the regulator side of rifle just yet.... Any opinions or thoughts would be appreciated.
I had a similar issue with a new human reg on filling VERY slow set at at 170 bar. I contacted Huma-Air and found out that there had been a revision on the number of Belleville washers that are installed for that regulator (1155). Mine came with nine and the instructions showed to use all nine. Huma-Air later revised that to 8 washers and I tried it and it now it works perfectly. I think they had switched to a thicker Belleville washer so only eight would fit to work correctly and I was trying to use nine per the old instructions that came with it using the thicker washers.

I made you guys an lil intro vid on the top TWO DNT optics!

BIGGER, FASTER, SOONER & low MPG. MERICA.

No joke, This scope seems as longer than the 23" barrel with the sunshade on it and it is a HEAVY pig, too. Not to mention these brands have a long term reputation that is virtually non-existent. I have emailed BOTH Arken and DNT and got snark from Arken and nothing from DNT. This is WHY I didn't feel comfortable buying direct and went through Amazon. Also both companies list reticle options that don't exist. They are far from perfect just very cool and I hope that they stay as cool. The Arken Zero Stop is FRAGLE. That was a surprise. I think the grub screws in the Zero stop and its set screw on the DNT are Titanium instead of aluminum and brass. They feel more substantial and significantly lighter, like tin, but they are harder. I do appreciate the DNT having the windage stop at 45 degrees. I have not used it that way that before. I think it is cool.
Also, the over emphasis on clicky clicks and stiff zoom, parallax and eye cup is basically invented by the Arken marketing. Every scope on planet earth that has screws in the turret cap and floats free with grub screws can perfectly line up on the lines on the permanent lines on the bottom of the turret. People are acting like Arken invented all of that that. So there are things I have my eyes open for at the end of the day it is a high value budget scope. There will be compromises. There is almost NO marketing for DNT for reviewers at lease not for TOR - Scope.

hopefully this helps you at least see other options..
Wes is good to deal with..

New to me cricket 2 tactical maxed out

Received my new used .22 cricket 2 tactical 45 I purchased from a member here through the forum. Got a great deal. Going to refinish the wood stock to make it mine. I got it Friday and quickly got to work mounting an athlon ffp scope and getting some chrony numbers. I adjusted the hammer spring to shoot JSB 18 at 940 fps and the hades at 985 fps which it somehow shoots to the same point of impact at 35 yards. Tried hybrid slugs but it hated them. Will try more as I have time. Had to work on barn roofs all day Saturday so had to wait until Sunday to get it out and put it to the test. Went to my favorite yearly honey hole to give myself the best odds of success. Started off strong with two quick fox squirrels within ten minutes of the truck. While retrieving the second I spotted a third just laying on a limb watching me. Bad choice. Walked a little deeper in and sat on a downed tree. Switched from fox to grey squirrels to finish out my six squirrel limit. Super happy to add this new rifle to my lineup. Six headshots speaks to the accuracy of the little cricket. Gonna be a fun season with this one in the regular rotation. View attachment 506342View attachment 506340View attachment 506343View attachment 506341View attachment 506346View attachment 506344
Good job 👍🏼 and very nice air rifle 😎

Snowpeak  Preordered my MAX1

I'm getting 70fpe with the 35g cast peanut slugs but at 210 bar.

The 4mm barrel TP is anemic. I didn't get to the valve but I'm assuming it wasn't opened up enough. Seems like they got all the other things you'd need to do to make big power but neglected to open the ports up.
In my engineering experiments with plenums transfer ports were something I intentionally avoided and used the Airforce platform. Uncontrolled variable among the various mfg.

I assume that people that are doing oval TP is so they can get a transfer port larger than the inner diameter of the barrel.

Sponsors

A BIG Thanks to all the sponsors that donated to the Nationals and support the Grand Prix s ,with few events paying prize money you can see the people who really enjoy this sport aren’t in it to get rich, the only account that has gone up since airgun ing is the amount of great people I’ve met, but it’s the donations from the sponsors wether as prizes or as auction items we need to thank them by supporting them as they support us and our sport.

Cutting your own Gun Stock Blank

My dad has a corner fence post (yes, an actual fence post, lol) that was there when he bought the place. The fella he bought the place from said it was there as long as he could remember. Dad bought the place in 1970’ish. That post is still there, doing its job. And you still can’t drive a steeple in it.

Brand new Impact M4 not grouping at all

try it without the moderator if you can. I put a Donnyfl fatboy on my wildcat .22 and used the 177/22 insert and was not good, changed to the 22/25 insert and all is well.
I wondered about the Fatboy. I had a Sumo I pulled off my Panthera to try and found it to be clipping but only after maybe 12 rounds. I wondered if the Fatboy and interchangeable caliber inserts may be a good fix for that as I am using it with none and it has a little bark to it.

N/A  Hammerli fill?

I just hate having a new gun and not being able to shoot it really gets to me! After receiving the rifle I had no way to fill it with my compressor 😿. However I still had my scuba tank which has set 5 years low on air but still had a little left. Out of frustration I give it a try and got about 1400 lb pressure. Barley into the green. First off was to sight in and to my surprise it was dead on at 12 yards. This is the first gun in memory that I had to stiffen up the trigger. I do have a fill adapter coming which should all me to use a Foster fitting. But for now I’m enjoying shooting the great gun ! Charles

the Chaser Bandit pistols have the ability to be customizes but the custom parts are not there, hell the parts for the pistols aren't there the seller have dropped the ball and the custom parts business like in the hay day of 2240 builds are not there but with invagination you can work with what you have
so some comments
the safety on all these pistols needs to be opened up and grease added
all these pistols old version have 2 trigger screws and the rear one will do nothing and with the front one need to be replaced with 8 to 12mm screws i use grub screws with spring bearing ball noses you can find on Ebay
the Buck Rail grip give you chance to work new grips on the pistol but also you can use a Phantom AR-15 to 1911 adapter and have a complete new world of grip choices
https://phantomonline.com/product/45-frame-only/
the trigger i did a write up in 2019, i have 6 Chaser and many parts and pieces

so it is a good platform
