The modern BBT slugs were modified by Bob to give the boat tail angles I recommended, so hopefully the airflow should not break away.

I was very worried about the quality after looking at tons of reviews of these cheaper pumps giving out after only a year or 2 if you are lucky. I ended up getting a GX cs3 and was surprised how robust it was. I expected it to struggle to pump, rattle around and be cheap in general but I was pleasantly surprised once I got it and tried it out.

Today my eyes were opened up so to speak when sighting in the AEA 357 rated at 340 fpe, at least mine is with 214gr but, at 150gr-3200psi this is max psi any more you start to lose fps,956 and 304 fpe. When you match that against my Texan .308 with 150gr 3300 psi 965fps = 310 fpe and max fpe 362.94 @ 3400 psi and adjust power wheel. both have heavy hammer springs. Still needs tweaking, was running out of day light. 5 shots from 100 yards 2 of them are from sighting in , 3 from what I have to tighten up. I was reloading with single shot tray.

Ok so I’m looking at this from more of a general apocalypse scenario. So a little more geared towards getting food and doubling as a self defense tool. Zombies don’t change my choices a lot, but are a fun spin on it!

If I can only have one it’s probably an Aea semiauto. One I’ve worked on and got running properly, of course. Not the nicest but they are a solid simple gun that puts out a lot of power! I know the semi auto is finicky but if it doesn’t work you can cycle the rifle manually. Probably a compact 25 cal with a big bottle that shoots slugs good. Few rebuild gets and you’d be good for years!

If I can have multiple. I’d have a compact Sidewinder in 30 cal, big bottle. This is my defensive gun. Probably a Taipan in 177. To many choices for that gun, I could list 5 different makes and models that I imagine would do as good of a job as the Taipan. And last would be a Huben pistol in 22, because? Well in a perfect zombie apocalypse a man has to have a good sidearm!

Also a Zero Tolernce or Spyderco in my pocket. And a good kukri in a belt sheath!

Edit: Oh yeah forgot optics. The Aea would have 1-8 power Nightforce lpvo. The Sidewinder would have a solar powered red dot, probably a Holosun. The Taipan would have the 1-8 Nightforce and the Huben would be open sights or a red dot, can’t decide.

Yotes are easily educated! A little cover scent might help out too(fox pee on a boot) and play the wind ....cleaner you are the better! (No human scents)

Once it gets to 10 seconds it counts down every second to zero. It was a lot of fun to use. One lane one of the guys on my squad pulled the trigger at the two second mark. That got a lot of laughs. I am a relatively fast shooter and really do not need a timer and hate using them. This was the first time I kind of enjoyed a timer. So there is my review.

My new Tesla is truly an American car, what did not come from the USA was Canada and Mexico. Less than 5% if memory serves was from other than USA, Mexico and Canada.

hoping they are really good because I just ordered one with the 32" barrel. Went ahead and ordered the barrel band for it too. I was reading another thread about another company that made a tactical stock for the zeus before these came out, and it looks nice. It mentioned better accuracy with the barrel band and muzzle brake that they offered, I wonder if the aea muzzle brake will work as well or if theirs works better.

It'll be my first pcp in a while that I can not yet make my own slugs for, as the largest my Corbin s press can swage is .46. Might spur me into getting into casting soon. A dollar per slug for the 825 grain slugs I ordered isn't too bad I guess considering I'll probably only shoot this 5-10 times each time I take it out

If you look at section B, parts 35 & 34, you will note they are listed as a pressure gauge and pressure gauge washer 'thin'. Since you have stated the air leak you are experiencing is from where the pressure gauge connects to the rifle, I suspect you have lost the thin washer and need to replace it. I hear ya, the Huben , the bottle, the plenum All unnecessary. Just gadgets to buy and install and fight with.
Especially since 2 compressors and usually a filled 9 and 6.8 tank within 20 feet.

An excellent video and an Impressive display of the Karma's accuracy and hitting power. The Karma Airguns were exceeding the FPE of a .22 short cartridge. I was looking at a new Daystate Blackwolf or a used Daystate Redwolf Hi-Power but the Karma air rifles have me rethinking and have my full attention.

Hi Double M, i also shoot .25 cal and almost every other airgun
calibre as well, i still ride motorcycles at 78 yrs old ,
I own a Honda Deauville NT-700 and used to tour all over Europe
been shooting airguns and riding motorcycles for over 50 yrs
and still love both activities,

But being the most highly-experienced Crosman 160 shooter alive (still), thought I'd share some 160 information. Sorry I don't know where you'll find a safety, spring and ball for your 1950's vintage, second-generation (of three) 160, but suffice to say cyberspace is a pretty big place; and occasionally a decent resource. Hopefully JG Airguns has a safety for it. Worst case scenario, you might have to locate a parts gun.

However I consider Crosman 160s well worthy of resurrecting, assuming the rifling isn't damaged. 1940s - 70's vintage Crosman barrels are capable of finer accuracy than most folks would imagine, and the same vintage Co2 Crosmans are capable of higher performance than many would believe (without proof).

My 160 was in rougher condition than I usually mess with, but being a Sears & Roebuck Ted Williams Match Rifle variant of your 160 I refinished the stock, added a rubber butt-pad, had the metalwork bead-blasted and blued, and used it to beat the best NRA Air Rifle Silhouette competition shooters weilding the finest European and British spring-piston rifles available in the late 1990's/Y2K to capture two NRA National Record certificates and a Texas State Champion title. She still shoots 3/4" groups at 50 yards.
