RM100Guy, Now that is a serious comparison test. Thanks for taking the time to document this and some really good shooting there and no bench rest. . I like the fact that the only thing you worry about is run-in* out of them ha!Member fullpower, I did this test just for you...Consider the results. Question; do Crosman pellets mess up the bore of a airgun? Testing JSB 18's, CPHP's, CP domes, JTS 18's, and last and final group JSB 14.35's.
All shot at 34 measured yards off my knee nonbenched with a Taipan Mutant standard shooting JSB 18's at 890 fps. Barrel wasn't cleaned for test...infact it already had all these pellets shot through it for days before. Some wind.
Group 1 to 4 three shots each but not JSB 14.35's. Only last group for them...I forgot I had 'em.
Group 5 is 3 each shot back to back at same point of aim. 12 shots.
Group 6 and 7 15 each CPHP''s and JSB 18's.
Group 8 is 15 CP domes.
Group 9 is JTS 18's, (not last group 11 is.)
Group 10 JSB 18's, same as group 1, was some wind with this one.
Group 11. JSB 14.35's, after all those different pellets in different numbers and orders, best group of the test. How fitting!
I only use MP5 or equivalent and Bounty paper towels to clean my barrels...then not much.
I shoot a lot, I shoot often. Crosman pellets aren't the best but they have their place.View attachment 523414View attachment 523415View attachment 523416View attachment 523417View attachment 523419View attachment 523421View attachment 523422
I've shot dump truck loads of them...I never worried about anything except running out of them!
thank you.It looks like Europe Airguns has them in stock. But if it were me, I'd wait for the carbon fiber air tubes to come out. They probably won't be much more expensive and they can be run at a higher pressure.
The small round tube with a hole on each side is a tool to take out the gauge on the front of the air tube and yes you turn the hammer adjuster right to increase and left to decrease power in a manner of speaking I turned mine a one and a half turns out and am still pushing 890 fps but my shot count went from 45 shots on reg to 62 shots on the reg they seem to be great guns for A low cost
nooo...he plucked that bird...he totally plucked that bird clean before starting to eatLmao….did you say he F’ed that bird ?
I've created the part using OpenSCAD and then printed it on my 3D printer. My printer isn't in good shape, but I'll happily share the SCAD file with anyone who'd like to play around with it. Message me and I'll get it to you. SCAD files are pretty simple to work on, the software is free. But you can actually edit them in a regular text editor, once you're familiar. Just a text based 3D programming language.rcarlisle, what’s on there for a front sight? I could use something like that on my various tubes.
Well, I'm not too old to learn a new trick. I have been using eye drops for 'itchy' dry eyes caused by dodgy tear glands in the eye lids. This morning I went out and bought that castor oil and put a drop on each upper eyelid, and gently rubbed it in (I wasn't going to wait until tonight). Here's a tip for you guys that wear Rx. For the last month or so, I have been putting one drop or organic hexane free castor oil on each eyelid before bed and massage it gently into the lid. There are many health benefits for using castor oil. You can do your own research. Anyway, I had an eye exam last week and my new prescription is LOWER than my last exam.
I don't get my new pair of glasses for another few days, I'm sure I will have to readjust the diopter on my rifle scopes.
The only time the Delrin pistons bothered me was when my guns saw big temperature swings.Well, what's your angle? I like two as well, especially if they're not oem delrin piston .
I wonder who snagged the Don Cothran 1701/PROD trigger blade ‘cuz I don’t see it anymore
That was probably the last of it.
Thanks for the wealth of info especially live situations as that’s my main interest.Nope. Ended up selling
the heavy vks were just for shts and gigs. I managed to knock back to back to back to back sparrows off of a bald dogwood at about 55y in a good full value left to right 20mph wind.. that was done with .2175 17.5 NSA. This was the experience that opened me up to slugs. I likely wouldn't have pulled that off with pellets. However, No, i've never shot paper in heavy wind conditions.. Everywhere i can set up targets is sheltered by heavy tree and brush cover. The field i shoot long range in is between two VERY THICK plots of Heavily treed and brushed woods, in a valley. At home I have a small lane cut into the woods, it takes VERY VERY strong wind to actually start causing issues in there. My wind experience is in live situations.
I've used the 1 ton press with the GMI dies. 2 ton would be better I'm guessing, but it works.
