Kalibrgun  ARGUS 60 -- .30

I do not condone yesterday's negative conversation. I removed all my input that wasn't productive, and I offer an apology to anyone who may have viewed the transaction.
@Ricochet We're good. The thread remains focused upon the Argus and the OP's experience with it.

Winter Projects? Let’s see em!

I got a stupid idea last night. And those are the worst because they nag and nag.
So the 499b is the world’s most accurate BB gun. How about a target stock with an adjustable cheek piece, butt hook and plan rest? Maybe laminated wood.
I can’t make a stock I have no skill or tools. But I could hack up an existing stock to fit the 499 frame. Maybe a rugged 10/99 stock. They are inexpensive.

Huben  buckrail unf on huben gk1 25 cal

I just wanted to come on here to give a shout out to Terry from buckrail. I am so shocked that this little $30 25 cal moderator made my gk1 mousefart quiet on full power!!! At first when i shot it in my house i didnt think the mod was doing too too much. I noticed i was wrong when the next shot i made without the mod left my ears ringing. Today was the first day i used my gk1 outside and i have to say i am so so so happy with this mod. This thing literally made the gk1 sound like a toy outside. Im sure DonnyFL's are great but i could never see myself spending hundreds on a moderator while something this cost effective and sufficient is on the market. Buck Rail seems to be one of the only companies looking out for the less fortunate who want to indulge in this hobby. Figured i would post this so future GK1 owners know that this is a great addition to the gun. Once again thank you Buck Rail!

Benjamin marauder

Dr I am a tinker i fix and work on all my things if I'm able too . I really like the marauder . and I really like the AA 510 tactical but that's another ? I'm just trying too see what it takes to build something that I want. And like without breaking the bank . 3 crow jsar looks pretty good also . thanks for answering my ?s

Twist rate air venturi avenger 22

Skout  Skout Evo Scope Rail Question.

AFAIK the PM2 has 26 mils of elevation travel total so if bottomed out 26 mils up is all that's there, not including using the reticle for additional hold overs, or perhaps in conjunction with a wedge prism.

Putting 40gr Altaros Kings at 950 fps my app shows 21.8 mils for 400Y so I'm assuming 40 moa of scope angle/base combined with cantilever should be 11 mils or so of compensation.

Anyway that's cool shooting so far out just dialing and having enough down to sight in at 38Y!

It's part of the reason I got my March Genesis so I could do ELR using a normal zero because it has 86 mils of travel.
My bad ... scope was not in front of me ... was thinking 25 mil per rotation x2
Looking at scope it is 14 mil per rotation x2, tho not a full rotation on second time around ... yea @ 25 mil you can dial in from zero'ed

Revere stock gauge plug removal

Blackdog,
You’re gonna need to go to at least 140 bar on the regulator to get decent power.
The shot count will be …. What Ii will be
Yeah Ive been from 150 to 120 bar . 150 gives 14, 15 good shots with H&N field target trophy 20.06 at 900fps
ran out of those pellets and have been testing with various others.

Biggest advantage from regulator so far is consistency from shot one till it drops off reg. With no regulator speed would build for the first ten shots . Then it would still climb slower for another 6 or 7 and then start falling .

Huben  Huben GK1 Problem

A couple of things...

The 25 and 22 tends to have "jamming " issues with certain pellets and slugs. With pellets, particularly in the 25, anything heavy and too pointed can move too far forward in the magazine. With slugs, anything fitting too loose in the magazine will allow them to move forward enough to cause the jamming.

The other "jamming" issue with the semi auto is when the cylinder air pressure falls below what is required for proper and complete cycling of the action. The only fix for this is for the operator to pay attention to the pressure.

Have ypu tried any long, heavy slugs in your 177 yet?
yeah I don’t let it go below 10mpa,
I do have some 10grain zan’s slugs,
which I have not tried yet because of cold outside.
I am just using 7ish grain for 5-10 meter indoor shooting.

FX  Are expensive PCPs worth it?

I didnt say accuracy. If you like that pcp, that is great, I do not myself., it also lacks a good magazine, nice trigger and being lightweight.

Anyone tried the Vector Plus 10X30 Zero eye relief scope?

I've got one on the way.
Sounds like a much cheaper version of the Immersive's, which I really like, plus I've always really liked the Veryons.
Interesting, find. Please let us know your experience with it once you get a chance!

N/A  16 joule or 24 joule

Picture files too large?

All this monkey business is why I don't post pictures on Gateway or Airguns BBS. I would have never even posted this information about Noricas and it's been very helpful to so many owners. There's a lot of them out there and very little info. Two year old thread and here it popped up again yesterday. I'm really pleased that I am able to help. I also have a bunch of informative threads with lots of pics on Warriors in "metal shop". A lot of hard to find Prewar BSA stuff. Everything was just simply loaded from a file.

Tethered at the bench

I rarely shoot tethered at all, but I think it's something that has a lot of potential for future airgun designs. For airguns that are big bores, semi/full auto, pistols or replicas, having a remote tank of very high pressure air makes a lot of sense. A gun like the Mordax is limited to about one magazine at higher power. Air shotguns are limited to only a few shots per fill. Replicas could be made significantly more realistic and more powerful if they weren't limited to 12g CO2 for power. For any of these, having a small remote SCBA tank would be a good option. It would also allow for a lot of design creativity. Imagine a multipump pneumatic where both the pump and the reservoir were remote.
