Varmint Knockers .253

The .253 & .254 sized slugs are very popular, especially with the Huben. I have the boattail variety. Mine already come lubed:

Will be testing a custom .250 die tomorrow in one of my presses. Hopefully it works.

Hydra Airgun Pellet Machine installed in the USA

One gigantic IF here......if this is NSA...

Nick and the gang @ NSA have a pretty solid track record of putting out good slugs at a good price. Can't imagine they'd compromise on their hard earned reputation for any reason, even pellets.

What makes me most excited about this is my opinion of past trends of NSA pricing. Seems he prices slugs with the mentality of smaller profit margins made up for by volume of sales, achieving this by keeping prices competitive. The opposite of course is selling fewer units but at higher markups. Hopefully he keeps the same mentality for pellets, again IF this is indeed NSA.

Or, selling 10 widgets @ cost + 10% can be more profitable than selling 2 widgets @ cost + 80% markup.

Nick seems to lean towards the, sell in greater volumes but at less markup, mentality.

Clean up crew showed up.

Got video from a couple hunts this year where a red tail grabbed my kills while doing the death flop AND turkey vultures eating a couple of hour old kills (never witnessed the vultures before). Too cool.
Call that vulture thing a "Sky Burial." WM

What silencer / moderator do you recommend for an FX Wildcat MKlll BT Compact?

On my .22, I went with Ted Biers recommendation, the Donny FL Tatsu. Happy with it because I wanted to keep my Compact compact.
I liked the Tatsu too, conservative in size and seemed to be in harmony with the 600mm barrel I ran it on. Donny FL makes a great line up.

FX  Do FX PCP generally hold an air charge well in storage?

I generally will leave my guns set for a couple hours before putting them in the safe, because I live in Florida its usually much hotter outside, so I let them cool off before marking the pressure on a piece of blue tape and sticking it on the rifle to monitor for any leaks. In my case leaks are not common.

Why .22 and why .30

The prices argument is a tough one to swallow as numbers lie and liars use numbers.

JSB .22 Monster Redesign 25gr - $24.99 for 350
JTS .25 25gr - $9.99 for 150 = $23.31 for 350

.25 pellets are actually cheaper than .22 pellets - see how I did that.
This is only if you get JSB, as FX 25.39 are $21.99 and it also depends on where you get it from, but on average, .22 is cheaper than .25

Nicolas "The Reaper" Irving Has His Son at the Range and Guess What He's Shooting?

Fun. And have done this myself with a child that age & size BUT really think safety 1st should be number one. Sure it will be a while before the child is coking their own springer but (IMO) never show a child the wrong way to do something esp. starting out.

HW/Weihrauch  WH30s Useful Range

I used to fly RC precision aerobatics, and I would be the only one who showed up at the field on nasty wind and weather days. Guess who out of our group took the trophies home. It was allways crazy wind at the contests, especially Pensacola.

If your hobby is things that fly through the air (airplanes, pellets, sailboats, kites etc.) it makes sense to learn the wind. Or at least crash (or miss) a few trying to learn it.

It's windy where I live. I shoot every day unless it's really bad. You learn to deal with it. My hits go way down in the wind but I can bend them in there pretty good. If I can't hit it at 50 in the wind I just move it up to 35 and keep on shooting. Every hit is a celebration. Every miss a lesson.

N/A  Springer Season

We had snow fly the other day. I have to pick up my ground targets. My hanging targets have to be painted from white to yellow or pink. I like light colours so you can see where you hit the spinner. I really enjoy winter shooting. Crow
I forgot to mention, with short days in the winter I do a lot of night shooting. 20,000 lumins lites up the snow like day. And all around is pitch black and usually no wind.

Nice rig...how's the donny work? I bet the tatsu would save you even more weight
probably would save a little weight but I like the cool factor too lol, and it might be an inch or so shorter. Another thing about the fat boy it comes with 4 adaptors/inserts for .177, .22, .25, and .30 so you can swap it to other guns if you like/need too.

Skout  For those wanting to see some Skout EVO stuff...

Yeah, lucky for me I won that gold Epoch in the raffle at EBR 2023, then used that gun to win at the Oregon EFT GP and EBR and was given the orange EVO. So the gold Epoch in .30 is my bench gun and the orange EVO in .25 is my EFT gun…
Now THAT is what I call hard work paying off!

money transfers

I have a separate bank account set up at my bank that I use for Paypal. I only transfer enough into it to cover any Paypal transactions. If I receive money I transfer it to my bank.
I've been using Paypal for several years and have yet to have an issue. Matter of fact, they got my money back for me once when I got burned on an internet purchase.
Yep, I have heard horror stories from others but that has not been my experience. I don't have any experience with any other online money transfer apps.

I just lost $10 to a guy that claimed all 3 of my first class envelopes containing orings went missing and filed claim.

I almost stopped selling orings due to that douchin baggan.

.30 cal projectile choices and where to buy them

Thanks for the guidance, I will.

I got the email too, it must be only the brands in the email. I tried it with the JSBs and it did not work. They have Crossman, Walther, Umarex and Benjamin
Many add Pyramyd's holiday "percentage off" deals to, "Buy 3, Get One Free," for ammo purchases. Haven't heard of specific ammo singled out for percentage off deal, must be something new. Free ammo will always be least expensive of the four in, "Buy 3, Get One Free." WM
