Brocock/BRK  BRK Pathfinder XR…🙈

i have to say the for me the grips are non issues as they have not proven detrimental to me shooting any of the BRKs. I do own ARs and haven’t found enough of a difference in grips to matter to me… You may consider stuffing some weight inside the hollow of the grip to add the heft you feel it needs. Or simply go with any after market grip of your choice. Either way you’ve made a great choice of a PCP and I expect it will serve you well. Am seriously digging on the OD color scheme.
Thanks again!! and I struggled for a long time about ready just to do what you did and go with black one and here’s why.It took AOA forever and a day to get some green .22’s in.They had green .177 for a long time, but I knew that wasnt gonna get it,even though in all reality a 17 fpe .177 would still serve my needs for this gun just fine..I just felt the need to go .22 as i live that little bit extra .( quite a bit actually). The black is every bit as tight as the green in my opinion.., thencarrying backpack and cute matching brk modmis what really sold ne I reckon.

When October Goes

I am just all " soon the season i can no longer enjoy " Mode.
Followed by " where the hell did daytime go "

Yeah, when I look at where most of Europe sits on a globe I do not envy you guys. Washington is considered pretty far north compared to other states and our days feel pretty short this time of year, but we’re actually further south than Paris is.

Daystate  .25 Redwolf for EFT

Been spending some time with a new to me Redwolf in .25. I picked this one up specifically for Extreme Field Target. Quite the shooter pushing 33 gr JTS at around 50 FPE. Since EFT closest target is 20 yards and distances are given, I used a Sightron PLR S3 scope which has a minimum parallax focus of 20 yards.
Although shooting a .25 is a bit much for my backyard, I’ve been creatively spreading my shots out in order to create my dope.
The total build weight is under 12 lbs as Daystates walnut stock is considerably lighter than the laminate or safari.
A very nice thing is my HFT, my EFT and my Bench Rest Guns are all using Sightron S3 scopes with the MOA-H reticle.

Have You Used UTG Accu-Sync QR Rings?

I mounted my thermal scope in the UTG Accu-Sync rings. They seem ok. Here there are next to two sets of rings one above the other. The Accu-Sync higher priceed rings are on the bottom.

Here are the specs for comparison. The Accu-Sync spec are on the back of the box on the top.

I can see the difference in quality. I feel good about my purchase decision. The Accu-Sync rings definitely look built better to handle recoil. It feels weird to pay this much for UTG rings, but hopefully they hold up long-term. They're pretty robust feeling. The machining looks pretty decent as well. The UTG Hi Pro LEs are fine for PCPs with low to mid-tier glass. I like to put my more pricier glass in decent mounts.

RTI  Huma reg help

I went with the Huma from my reg collection for the RTI I was selling for a couple reasons. The kid I sold it to is never ever going to go chasing dreams with the gun. Probably because he’s not a member of this forum or watches YouTube videos. I knew 135b was going to cover him for the two pellets he was going to use. I also hooked him up with a SCBA bottle to fill the gun. Seeing as how the Huma appears to be a self regulating slow filler, I didn’t have to worry about him scorching something filling the gun like he’s in combat or something. He’s had no complaints for well over a year now. I told him to check the back gauge and let me know if the gun is ever in the 140’s after sitting.

Seeing pistol front sights indoors

I've been nearsighted since 10ish and it hasn't gotten better over time, now right at the door of 70. I gave up shooting indoors 20 yrs ago because I could not see the front sights any longer. Presbyopia. For pistol work I resigned my self to red dots, lasers, etc. I even found a friendly optometrist in my late 40s who let me bring an airsoft Glock in so we could make a special pair of glasses but even those didn't work well.

Then a few weeks ago I got an AV 46M and got a whole lot of lights for my 9.3M basement range. But the front sights were still too blurry. I read that if the target is blurry and your front sights crisp that is OK. So I would try to achieve that.

I did a lot of reading on shooting 10M with prescription glasses. What I read was that +.75 fixes most issues and can be ordered as a one eye clip on. However, some shooters use +.25, +.50 and some +1.0 or higher, but most use +.75. There is some math involved but +.75 is right for most and is directly associated with distance from the eyeball to the front sight. And I had no idea if I needed +.25, +.50, +.75, +1.0, +1.25 and so on.

I looked at all the online companies that sell those one eyed clip ons for 10m pistol shooters and looked at the prices and said, I'll experiment first. Flip up readers. I figured I could take off the left eye lens of a flip up reader if I had to. So I ordered +1.00 flip up readers from Amazon. I didn't see any +.75 readers. Got the +1.00 pair, went to the basement with my regular bifocals, clipped them over my bifocals, turned on all the lights and sighted down the 46M. Holy cannoli! Not only could I see the front sights as crisp as I have ever seen a handgun front sight but I could see the target well enough to not have to do anything else. It was a $12.95 solution that has plagued me for years.

Please help this newbie

Great points with regard to follow up shots, not needed if I use a burst....... :) Well I reckon the follow up is happening at the same time.:):)
Break barrel or pump up make a quick follow up shot impossible, bolt or lever or semi auto keeps you on the sights. Vermin deserve a quick painless departure from this world, a follow up shot is often the right thing to do. For pest elimination C02 or N2 would permit a much quicker 2nd shot when needed. I'm leaning more to advise PCP for this reason, with a hand pump. I am not up on the energy delivery for C02 and N2. .22 PCP has enough snort for larger small critters needing removal.

FX  huma slug power kit. Potential gains?

At the moment Ive got the 13.5gr hammer, and slightly stiffer spring, m the Huma gen3 reg, 90-135 Belleville springs.. thinking of adding the 14.5, hammer and 135-200bar regulator belllevilles, max tension spring ,hi flow pin probe.. what gains can be realistically expected from a dreamline?

Has anyone installed the entire. System. What gains were made over stock capability?

Other  Xisico Sentry Burst Disc?

Glad that you got it back together!
“It would be nice if I could have my pressure gaugue there, instead of on the end of the tube. Staring at the muzzle while filling has never set right with me...”
I agree with this, however, this design is the simplest to maintain tube volume. I have a rectangular inspection mirror that I set at 45 degrees on a flat surface at my fill station to watch the gauge.

FX  Recommended Setup for the FX Impact M4 - 0.25 caliber

Oh waoooo i got super frustrated when my impact m4 wasn't hole on hole at 90 yards, i thought the i should be able to do that and i started analyzing how and why the gun sometimes opened up and shoot from half inch group now and not the next and backwards up to 3 or 4 inches having slow spread in fps ,and I stiffer up the barrel liner with cf sleeve then put groove on the cf sleeve for an o ring and then carefully thread in the whole barrel sleeve until passing the threads all of this making sure every o rings passes through good and then after 4 o rings install is much much better i don't have half inch consistently yet but I am trying and will keep trying and upgrading my gun until i get half moa or somebody posted the RTI mora saying that is a moa gun out the box if bought from talon tunes with altaros slugs if with in a year i can't get my m4 at least moa consistently 100%, i will try another brand until then I hope i can achieve my goals because i love everything about this platform....
Doubt an FX Impact can shoot accurately at 100 yards.
