N/A  On board Regulator Pressure and Tank Fill Pressure Question

Thanks for the reply guys.

Also the gauge on regulator actually is not a regulator gauge but measures the pressure in the plenum, correct?
That depends entirely on how your gun is made. If it has two guages, then one gauge will be for the air tank fill pressure and the other gauge will be for the plenum (which will be showing what the regulator is set at).

New Videos.

I'm getting away from youtube and videos in general. I'll search for something specific and quickly check my (few) subscriptions but don't surf any more.

The lure of easy youtube money has spawned millions of "creators" who don't know what they are talking about. It's just not worth the time to try to sort out the bull$hit. I feel bad for newbies watching these false "experts" who are only interested in likes and subscriptions to "grow the channel".

Can understand that knowledgeable creators are getting overwhelmed by the wannabes and are backing off.

Huben  Huben GK1 Field Carry for Close Quarters Draw and Shoot Styled Hunting - Opinions Wanted

I'm still getting back to this custom theme for couple of reasons. I know you are wise and seasoned but everyone needs a hint every now and then.

First, I honestly don't believe there is anything even remotely satisfying to your taste and need readily available, especially online.

Second, if there was a place to have a holster made, it would most definitely be in Texas US. I would see this as self explanatory.

Third, having invested good money on quality products like Edgun and Huben, it would be a long lasting road of regret and self loathing if you stick to cheap non-functioning and probably dangerous solutions. Treat yourself.

Fourth, safety.
I'm not yet too familiar with Huben but I say this because of what I have read.
Personally I would really love to have the holster barrel end blocked slug proof in the hopefully never occurring accidental discharge. The energy one puts out would not be problematic to stop if the holster was custom made, and you have made clear you absolutely do not want a moderator.

Fifth, snug fit.
They make holsters that clamp around the gun so no need for all kinds of straps.
I would suspect some down time leaving the pistol in the shop but in my opinion well worth it. If you are okay with the red dot, it would be so easy for them to make you happy.

So, my short list would be:
Color
Texture
Snug fit, open top
Pellet/slug stopper
Chest/hip carry

I hope you find something nice 👍

Weight vs FPS

One thing to keep in mind is that most all pellets will not like to be pushed too hard or too fast. The common fps cap recommendation for pellets is 850-880. Some pellets in some setups with some tunes will do well at faster speeds, but that is not the norm.

The air charge your pcp releases to push a pellet matters too. If the air charge is too aggressive even at slow speeds, you can disrupt flight out of the muzzle.

Some of us run very fast pellet speeds for hunting purposes, but there are drawbacks. For example my M3 Impact is setup to push 22Cal Hades at about 990fps right now. I get good groups out to about 60yds, but then the pellets veer off and really open up my groups. If I wanted to get a pellet out further I would choose a heavier pellet, slow it down, and tune for max accuracy.

Pellets are very very sensitive and have terrible ballistic properties. They can spiral through the air like a plane missing a wing, or randomly take a right turn etc. They like being lobbed gently toward your target, and can provide some terrific accuracy if you treat them right. So when deciding for a target tune and fps, its good to understand how pellets act/react.

I had some offcuts and time...

My office is taking shape slowly but surely.

Saturday I spent some time making a gun rack for my current favourites.
This morning I re-arranged some if the shelves in the cupboard behind me to accommodate all sorts of shooting related stuff, my old bar fridge and my 3D printer.

It is small, but it is mine.

It remains a work in progress.

N/A  How to determine FPS

---snip

Do you guy keep a log of settings/tunes for your favorite pellets and uses?

---
Yes, even for the breakbarrels, at least to record what holds and pellets I've tried. Very quickly I realized I'd forget things. I use a lab type notebook with gridded pages; office max/depot/staples has them, soft-bound. If I have to go back and look something up, I also record it in a table of contents, because if I looked once, I'll probably look again. Next to actually shooting the gun, the notes have been most helpful.

Airgun Technologies  Netvor .457 valve?

So far accuracy with mine has been awesome with most slugs but best with nsa 298 knurled
Great to hear, I just ordered one from Talon Tunes with some 285 grain zans. Has anyone ran 200 grain slugs out of this rifle yet? I'm just a paper puncher so not worried about reduced stopping power but I would think a lighter weight slug would have a flatter trajectory for better accuracy.

Other  Baikal MP-654K Makarov

Tried pellets in the Mak, very tedious to load, but definitely better group than the Gamo bb's.
Looking at the right hand target, the holes marked in blue are five 6.9 gr Super H-Point, the red ones are the Gamos.
This was shot at 10m with a two hand hold, don't know why the pellets grouped at one o'clock, the aim point was the same for every shot.
The left target is ten Gamo bb's at 10m with a single arm hold, some even went in the black...

I then tried the Gamos again at 10m with a two hand hold, ten shots, much better result.

Ultimately, they are a fun gun, and I certainly have fun when shooting mine at any distance!
That slide spring is mighty stiff, perhaps the same one used in the real Mak. And that can make loading pellets tedious, as you say. If you install a lighter spring then loading pellets becomes a much more pleasant process.
I changed that spring after the slide hammered my fingers once or twice 🙂

Concord CA Field Target Match Results Nov 17th, 2024

Hmmm......those are some pretty intimidating looking wares. I'll be watching you close, brother. lol!
Hahaha, both platforms are better than my skill set. This is gonna be a fun match. I’m pretty sure Alain is gong to shoot the 44

HW/Weihrauch  HW44 with 310mm HW110 barrel

That's pretty cool. Could the same thing be done with the 110 if someone wanted to make theirs smaller?
the 310mm barrel is for the K model which has a shorter forearm stock,
where the normal barrel is 410 mm
the FAC is long 600mm barrel that is in my photo,,, black HW110 FAC on the left

Diana  Diana 75HV Restoration Complete

a question first
was the metal that nice or did it get refinished on the HV
now 10 years ago the FWB 300 was on everyone's mind everyone wanted one those that had them loved them and i would guess still do but when the Diana 75 was added to the conversation most would say yes but they are too hard to fix give me a 300 instead
and now that more people have went down the road of the 75 the attitude has changed and the Diana 75's have a more friendly following
now for me i only have 3 Diana 75's so you know where i come down on all this
The bluing is all original. It does have some marks but overall is in very nice condition, especially for a rifle that is 44 years old, so I decided to leave it untouched. The stock on the other hand was very faded on one side, and the wood looked dry. The refinishing took care of this and the coloring is nice and balanced now. I only have this one Diana 75, but it is my favorite rifle.

FX  New to PCP with new FX Impact M4 5.5mm - 800mm

These guys have amazing content for the FX Impact rifles. I have learned a lot from them. Look for their videos where they talk about ballistics for the Impact.

FX  FX Impact Compact

Impact has 1000000 different things you can twist and change in the tuning process. I wouldn’t expect it to come setup particularly well for anything from the factory. Not a pull out of the box gun and shoot it. Don’t get me wrong, you can absolutely do it and it will perform but you will be selling the platform so short of its potential.
