Added weight for benchrest shooting.

I think the scope is fine. It is 1/8th moa per click and I think I was mostly chasing the impact of the wind but not really clicking enough to have much impact at 30 yards.

I have shot a couple 195 masters targets with the added weight but I shot a 196 without it. I think the weight helps as does the scope but the most important variable is still me. I am back to using two wind flags (in 30 yards) but I do not consistently use them well. Right after Helene my wind flags were precluded by a big oak tree that fell. I consistently shoot my best targets in wind that is consistent. Usually that means very low wind but the 196 was consistent 6 mph winds. When it changes direction or intensity I usually do not adjust well.

Is it me? Or does it not work?

BINGO!!
YES? found the test plug in the box of parts.
Pressure held which (like you said) pointed away from the pump.
Turn out I needed Teflon on the quick connect/probe fitting.
Thank You 👍👏👏👋
Been there, done that! Glad it worked out, I'm sure thread will help others, as well. WM

Broken hatsan 130QE mine is like it's cocked but will not shoot ever heard of this before?

You have a broken trigger spring. When this tiny spring breaks, the trigger won’t reset. When you cock the gun, the piston does not catch the sear because the sear is not in its proper position. I have had several do this. Remove the trigger unit and you will see one of the loops on the end of the spring has broken off. I just remove the spring and with tiny needle nose pliers and remake a new loop. Easier than trying to get one.
I'll check and see if that's it thanks

Hatsan gas ram repair

This guy is a good start

https://airgunwarriors.com/community/airgun-talk/rebuilding-a-hatsan-vortex-gas-ram/

Just Google rebuild hatsan ram to find his and a couple of others stuff

Seemed a guy around here will rebuild them for you too..

Edit...

See what hatsan parts dept price is for another ram . Was about 45$+/-

You can also get the spring parts to swap to spring and chunk the ram

Very good write up. 👍

N/A  Contemplating a Big Bore Bush Gun

Sometimes situations arise that require specific or specialty tools. I’m interested in suggestions for a bush gun- something compact that I can shoulder and shoot at short range in tight spaces like thickets, heavy undergrowth, a pine sappling stand, etc. Might sound strange, but it’s what I want. If I can find something less than 30 inches that would be great! So far I’ve considered:

Evanix Rex-P in .45 (super compact)
AEA Element in .45

Just something I’ve been thinking about on and off. What else can y’all suggest?
I like the umarex

Centerfire v. Air…

Took my Diana 54 out yesterday for plinking, and after ensuring zero I took my first shot at a new 1/2” biathlon target from shootingtargets7. I’m trying to practice for field target so when I get enough stones to show up in Boerne for a match, I won’t be laughed off the firing line.

The accuracy of this springer rifle is amazing. Target at 30 yards from bench.

I haven’t touched my PCPs in a bit since I love shooting my springers (D54, HW97 and HW80). Had I known about springers I might have just stayed with them!

Donny FL Emperor Small Bore?

Sumo 25
On challenger pro, shrouded but it's non functional. Worked really well.
TalonP, 22 and 177. No shroud. Worked so good I bought a 177/22 for the TalonP in .177 w/ 18" barrel, shoots 20gn slugs at 900
P12 in 22 with working shroud worked but was expecting more.
Kral Empire XS and Puncher Breaker. Same as the P12

I find it depends on the gun & tune. Some instances it seemed to make the report louder. Sometimes it changed the tone compared to other cans.
Cool, thanks. I already have a DonnyFl Shogun. It’s only slightly quieter than my Huggett Snipe on my FX Crown despite being much bigger. I’ll wait to see how it works on the FX DRS before I upgrade.

Zeroing Pulsar Thermion XQ50 LRF on an Evol

I have some adjustable rings en route. When they arrive I may remount this scope if it hasn’t found a more suitable home within the current mounts. Having to make special adjustments to my mounts or having to buy specific mounts for certain airguns is a PITA especially since I have my figured out a way to notate the adjustments made which would make repeatability smooth and less time consuming.

Scope leveler...

@thomasair so to be sure, you mean in the example above to rotate the scope CCW? as you sit behind the scope which would place the lower vertical reticle on the POI?
Yes...ccw from behind. The reason this method is better is because the distance doesn't matter....it's the amount of holdover or clicks away from zero that matter. Super short distances require a lot of holdover or clicks. Super short distances also have very little wind drift that could mess up your results.

Taipan  I got my thermal with night vision yesterday!

I think getting an extra battery or two may save you the aggravation with standby mode.

I am going to get a 635R as I want better resolution and the wider angle of view. Most of my shots will be 20 yards or less and the 1.5 X base magnification is a must. Beautiful rifles and I like your Venus Flytrap avatar.
Thank you for the kind words. Yes, the TNC635R should be great! Also, I remember the units actually allows charging via USB so a small battery bank Velcroed to the gun should provide all night scope use.

By the way, the Venus flytraps are actually the plants I'm trying to protect from the squirrels. If I let their population get out of control, all my Venus flytrap pots get dug up and used to store their food. It's a side hustle so it's costing me money when they ruin a pot of the plant.

EDgun  Leshiy 2 tuning question

ok thanks for your help @bigHUN 👍 so I'll have to play a little more with pressure and jets I guess. Even with the 0.4 jets I'm not unhappy with air consumption. I can shoot about 5-6 magazines with a bottle at about 60 joule. But accuracy is not always there yet.
I started with 18gr pellets as well, and liked them. But conditions in Belgium are often quite windy, that's why I prefer a heavier pellet at a decent speed.
