Punishing starlings with my FX Impact MK2 (edited)
Edited and repost this video where I punished starlings using my FX Impact MK2 and H&N 25gr slugs.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.
I do use the balancer to bring groups in tighter, and the shroud helps quiet it. If your tune is pretty good now there won't be a need for a retune but you may have to re zero after the poi change. I don't have a ton of pictures but basically make the hole in the back of the shroud big enough to go over the tensioner with an oring or 2 in it. You need a lathe or somebody who has one.do you tune with harmonic balencer or do you use it just for supression on barrel tenisoner , I think that is what you are saying about ring you made, can you show me where how it is on gun...but dont do that if it opens up for re-tune, messing with it causes re-tune I got that...man thanks for chatting and helping....I live In Arkansas , but was born and raised in San Joaquin valley Hanford Ca
Car, nah, but I'd ask that guy to move his thumb.Hi Bhaur
I know you are an excellent tuner, but i'd still move the car![]()
Actually with the Vortek 12fb spring I put in last week I am getting 760 with no spacer and 10.3 AA. Yesterday the spring must have got setteled in as all of a sudden it started feeling really smooth and was shooting small groups at 20 meters.750 sounds a little slow.
time for a rebuild?
Thank you for the suggestion, but such an approach feels like a large industrial project given the limited local means and expertise available here. In the worst case, a local gunsmith could import the original regulator from Aselkon, just as they imported the rifle. However, this process might take 6 to 8 months.Messure the diameter end length of your original regulator. Then write to huma-air asking which of their regulators is closer to such dimensions.
If there's no one, exactly the same size buy the thicker closer and take it to machine it.
Thanks, He is a good dog, but he’s not fan of airguning , always wanna stop me from having funYou have a big beautiful dog!
25calAre you shooting 22 cal or a 25 cal with the P3 my buddy has a P3 in 22 cal and has that special slug
barrel and shoots the VK slug 28 grain dish base the gun is at 170 bar and shooting at 960-975
Put the valve at 4 and leave it there until IF/AND WHEN you need some fine tuning.Don’t I need to be at the “knee”? If I up the 2nd reg to say 110 and then dialed the hammer spring back, aren’t I not tuning to peak efficiency? Aren’t you supposed to almost max out the hammer and then dial back with the valve adjuster and that is what limits the valve open time?
Looking forward to the next match and to see our missing shooters. You did good Perry. A few more things worth mentioning, Keith had a Birthday so Happy Birthday, and a sad note our Champion shooter Bob S suffered health concerns and was not able to participate and hopeful the docs can get a handle on it. Prayers always help if you can, thanks.
Joe
I think all the 7x7 pistols use the same bolt. 777 has a Walther Lothar, (Lothar Walther?) barrel, adjustable trigger, wood target stocks, forged steel piston lever, higher front sight and steel rear sight with adjustable width notch.I have 717 and 777 , like the 777 much better even though it has the same bolt action feel .
Awesome. Thank you!The best thing you can do for a Gen 1 to knock off weight and improve balance is to get with AGR, and if he will agree and your air tube has no corrosion, have AGR cut your tube and make into a hybrid. Hybrid meaning it retains the steel section in the valve and back section but forward of that it is aluminum. If you do this, you cannot regulate the rifle and the truth is that regulation is not the greatest thing since sliced bread for a hunting rifle.
Look close in this photo and you can see that my Gen 2 SL M-Rod .25 (The Beast) and my little Gen 1 M-Rod .25 have AGR hybrid tubes. Neither are regulated of course and they are strong shooting rifles. And accurate. And kill squirrels, rabbits and vermin dead.
My other two M-Rod .25s have JSAR full aluminum tubes and Huma regs and all the mess that goes with that but are very light sub 7 pounds rifles outfitted with the synthetic stock, my Cobra, JSAR alloy tube, Huma, Cobra valve, AGR lightweight SSG, Tim Hill short shroud:
Which is another thing that can be done, either purchase the Tim Hill shroud which I did or cut your own shroud and have it squared and threaded, which I did also to get the rifle shorter, about 39 inches. Maneuvers in the woods much easier and works well in blind. It is 39 inches long, 7.5 pounds with scope and a Limbsaver branded bipod attached, under 7 pounds with scope only. I did the hydrodip myself, Veil Camo from Dip Demon and One Shot Wonder base coats.
Yeah the barrel length was also a factor.do you think the shorter barrel has something to do with the louder report as well? i somehow thought that also has an effect in that way.
mine is not too loud, compared to a GK1 without moderator or what i experienced with the VULCAN 3 HP today (my one ear is still ringing!), it is still quiet. =)
They know this issue for so long. Only thing they changed is the oring in the production. They arent going to change the designWasn’t fx supposed to be working on parts to fix the issue ?
Someone already mentioned valving difference. There is one more thing that is different between Vulcan and Uragan - Vulcan is more top heavy than Uragan. Distance from grip to top is lower on Uragan and taller on Vulcan. So, it's interesting to me that AGT offers Uragan and Vulcan - what are the differences between those two models of same manufacturer?
