Trying to upload and sell an airgun

I have been here for years. I read the rules before joining. I'm not chasing anyone away. Considering almost all forums that have classified ads have rules to follow before posting a item for sale. It's no secret. How hard is it to read the rules first.

AGN dosen't need a multiple choice quiz. The rule is fine, it has been working for years.
I thought this thread was a goner, but since you directly copied me,
the rules were pointed out by moderator!!! I also was in the process of pointing it out also when the forum popped up a notice up about other replies, I saw the mod's comment so I canceled my reply!
You jump on the dogpile with all capitols , indicating a loud yelling response that as a newby , i would see as 'unwelome mat' being set out by the NON owners of the forum
as to not needing a quiz to join, it is just a suggestion to help solve a problem, It is a problem or you would not have made your first comment about reading the rules. I see many many newbies make the same mistake over and over,,, it is not the rules I have a problem with and I never indicated that,,, it is the new guys can join without reading the rules, they just check the box that they did, so the new guy problem is real and their many posts are the proof in the pudding.

and you did jump on him, like a dog in a pile on, with 😆 face to boot
review what you said to the new guy, he has not been back since ya all dog piled.

when I first join we were able to post replies directly into the classified section, but were told not to in the rules, somewhere, i guess.
I got a mean note from a mod about it,, shortly there after, they fixed the forum, so you could not even post a reply in the classifieds.
they can change stuff here and they do time to time,,, always room for improvement.

your avator ,,, mayby we don't need to be so septic towards new members.
any way have nice day,,, spread it around, be a zippity do dah kind of attitude

Bog deathgrip ballhead conversion

I'm wanting to make my tripod a little better and user friendly. Currently looking at a couple conversions on the market. Zero Fox Given and Little Crow Gunworks. Curious if anyone has used either or a different brand and how they liked it. I have access to a metal lathe at work and am considering making my own, but sometimes it's quicker and easier to just purchase something pre-made. I've definitely got enough projects that need my attention and time already! Any advice is welcomed.
If you have access to a lathe, you should just make your own. They’re really very simple even without a lathe. Do a YouTube search if you haven’t already as there is even one video where a guy uses some spent 9mm and 5.56 brass to fill the void between the tripod housing and the bolt he used to secure his ball head of choice. If I was using a Bog tripod I’d probably turn an adapter on my lathe, but the spent brass idea seemed like a very cool idea.

HW/Weihrauch  More "Easter egg" peeps...

More gadgeteering from the dark recesses of accumulated stuff...and my sketchy old memory.

Back in the day, Robert Law at Air Rifle Headquarters in WV commissioned Williams to make airgun-specific peep sights. These were similar to today's FP and GR series, but with fixed mounting rails mating with each brand's dovetail spacing. They are secured by setscrews on top, to snug the sight up tight against the grooves.

This is the "ARH 624," a sporting peep sight (Weihrauchs had wider 13mm grooves back then, so the ARH peeps are a rare alternative to HW's own match diopter of the day). Seen here on an old HW 30:

And here on a vintage HW 50 is the "ARH 834T," the target version of the same sight, adding finger-knob adjusters and a taller elevation arm.

Next, a challenge - a BSF S54 Match underlever. This eccentric design has: A) relatively low front sight; B) barrel set below the top of the receiver; and C) high rail for the rear sight...so any rear-mounted sight must adjust VERY low. BSF's match diopter works of course, but is fragile, adjusts coarsely, and doesn't take German eyepieces! ARH also had custom Williams sights for BSF barrel-cockers, but they won't go low enough for the S54. The one sight that WILL go low enough is the current FP-GR, but its tall elevation arm strikes the gun's wood (note: the FP-GR may work as-is for those versions of the S54 with narrower stocks).

The solution was a mix'n'match. The base is from a brand new FP-GR, with the shorter top from an "ARH 833T." A tidy setup, with the bonus of better precision than the OEM sight.

And a surprise bonus...the other half of each sight was not wasted. The 833T's rails are about 11mm, so its base plus the FP-GR's top gives a 1980-vintage HW 35E (with 22-inch barrel) a sight radius that's almost silly.

Here is the whole motley old crew with their new "eyes," ha. :D

Informative as always

AirMaks Arms  Anything better for the price than an Airmaks Katran SC for a backpack gun?

I haven't messed with it yet but I suspect the low regulator setting (100 bar on my 22) and light valve return spring is keeping the valve open too long making it nosier than it has to be. I've raised the regulator to 120 bar but not removed the Tanto to check noise. I may also look for a stronger return spring.

My hunt for coyote #10 begins

Looks like he died from lead poisoning!
Yes, he did. Farmer shot it at 30 yards with his shotgun and a follow up shot to end its suffering. He offered me to use his shotgun for my coyote hunt, but I politely turned it down, lol. I enjoy the challenge of using my Impact MK2/slug method. I am all about the hunt experience with stalking, waiting patiently and the unknown if and when any coyote would show up. Crazy it might sounds and call me an adrenaline junkie, but the excitement I experienced each and every time a coyote came into view of my night vision scope, I felt alive.

Northtac

Hey all,

I came across these Northtac optics when reading some things online and then watched some YT videos, they look pretty good and durable. Only finding things with them on I powder guns. Has anyone had experience with these? Specifically looking at the Northtac P-11 Red Dot. Will be mostly likely be used on .22 PCP, either Notos or Beeman 1358 underlever. I did a search for Northtac here and nothing showed, any input would be greatly appreciated. I can post a list to manufacturers specs, but wasn't sure if that's against the rules. I'm still new as a member, but been a long time lurker. 😆 If link is allowed let me know too lol

Tuxing 4.7L

Seems like a good option to have. I did ask because somewhere I had read about a rifle that needed the air to be removed to go one way or the other on the reg pressure... Can not remember though. Thanks
A lot gun regs have to degas just to access the adjustment screw.

Some regs like the Huben Power Dream regs they specifically state you can damage the reg by going down.

I'm not an expert by any stretch so I tend to err on the Huben Power side. But I have quite a few of their regs.

Airgun Technologies  And …. What about Vulcan 3 700 mm .25 Cal?

What's velocities are you getting with what ammo's?

I tried the 29's in my V3 which is tuned for 99 fpe with 60 grainers and the 29's shot horrible in it but they were going 1060 fps. Though the 29's shoot well in my Uragan King at 925 fps. This pic was 10 at 50Y with the King/29's and windy.

I don't shoot my V3 much because the Altaros 60's are pricey so I kinda need to find a cheaper solution for a slug to plink with.

Air Arms  CO2 pistols

Two things.
Best results are with wadcutters.
Push the pellet in until it bottoms out.

I put a tiny little bit of krytox grease under the belt and it works pretty well. Better than having oil leaking everywhere. I have only had a couple of jams before greasing and those were with round nose pellets sliding back and forth. When you push them in until they bottom out, it flairs the skirt a tad.

Binocs & spotters...who use.?

I guess I never reported back. I was cruising through Motonet a couple months ago and on a whim busted a pair of Gamo 8 or 10x binos out of the box to check them out.

I looked up into the rafters all the way across the store, easily 50+ meters and I could see dots smaller than .177 pellets in the white paint. For 30 euros I took them home.

They work great for me at 50m. They do fall off near dusk but so does my diopter sight. There is a little chromatic aberration, but it’s not enough to really mess you up.

For the price, highly recommended if you can hold them steady enough to look through.
