Free O-Rings to fit a .22 cal Bandit, Stormrider, etc others

Hello everyone,

I placed an order for some replacement O-Rings to fit the Breech end of the Barrel on my .22 cal Diana Bandit and have a lot of extras.

The “FKM” are also the same color as the factory originals and it appears to be the same material.

The Buna-N 90 is a slightly different material but if you read the specifications for both materials, I feel certain that they will work just as good as the FKM in this application.

If any member has any one of these guns ( see below ) and would like to get 4 of these O-Rings free, 2-each FKM & 2-each Buna-N. Send me a PM and I will give you my mailing address. Then send me a self addressed envelop with a stamp on it and I will send you two each of the O-Rings.

Theses will fit a 22 caliber:
Artemis, Bandit, Chaser, Snowpeak, SPA and Stormrider and probably others.

HW/Weihrauch  Loading HW44 ?

Now, you’re making me want to break out the HW44. So quiet and fun
Go for it 👍
I’m away in NC and have the opportunity to be shooting at at longer range than usual.
Without a scope (using a Red Dot) Im blowing up tuna cans from a distance that a pistol shouldn’t be able to shoot.
Simply amazing

Winter wind

Like Mike said, air density is what matters, and it is driven primarily by temperature, barometric pressure, altitude, and to a lesser extent, humidity. Density altitude is a convenient way to express the combined effect of these factors.

It may be counterintuitive but all other things being held equal, humid air is less dense because water vapor is less dense than nitrogen + oxygen (dry air) and more water vapor brings down the overall density. I can say for sure that when i was a young, limber golfer my drives would sail farthest on a hot day with high humidity. Cold dry air would knock down the ball more quickly. While I wasn't good enough to adjust my wind calls, it's safe to say the ball pushed around more in the wind in cold dry air.

It's been long said that raindrops don't affect firearm projectiles because the bullet spends so little time in the air that it rarely collides with a raindrop. With airgun pellets the same is probably true but not quite as rare since airgun projectiles spend relatively longer time getting to the target.

There's another layer - since we shoot air-powered platforms, the projectile velocity can vary when there are big swings in absolute air density. So sometimes when we think we're seeing the effect of external ballistics (how the pellet flies) we may actually be observing changes in internal ballistics (how the pellet gets moving).

Last scheduled match of 2024!

The threat of cold weather quickly evaporated and the guys that came out enjoyed near perfect weather, Bill even took his sweatshirt off halfway through the match!

I just got my rifle back from the Worlds that morning, and it was absolutely caked with fine sand and dust, no way was I shooting that, so I grabbed a spare Steyr and the wrong pellets, unfortunately it took me six lanes to realize I wasn't using the right ones, and a quick walk up the hill to grab my FX pellets and voila, my rifle was shooting great again, just too late for a decent score.

Bill shot with Jim, and whilst they weren't the fastest shooters of the day, Bill did come up with the best score of the day, while we waited Chris and Grant shot the tank (possibly the hardest, or second hardest on the course) off hand, well I thought it would be fun... well that didn't work so they both shot the Invicta horse off hand and Grant won that shootoff.

Weather has been a blessing to us this year, only had to cancel one or two, lets hope next year will be kind to us too!

There is a chance we could have a bonus match in December if the weather allows, so keep your eyes peeled for any news!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the club fun, thats the whole point of it, bad score or not, its worth coming out to play, and also a big thanks to Brad Troyer, who came out early and gave the course the TLC needed for everyone to have fun!

God Bless

Who knew I needed a Crosman 1377

I used to have a not so different 130 when I was a young buck. It put it's share of frog legs on the table in it's time. Somewhere along the line I must have given it away as I haven't seen it in years. Then while browsing the net last week , I spotted this Custom 1377 classic. It was reported like new, with a upgraded trigger but I was especially smitten with the furniture. It got here yesterday and I got to put the first pellet's through it today. I'm really liking the overall feel of this one. (Much better than the old plastic griped versions I've handled.) I have to say, it did better across the radar than I thought too. The second picture shows average velocities obtained using a 8.4 gr wadcutter pellet. In most cases there was only a 2-3 fps S D acrross 5 shot strings

The 1377 is addictive with the different options currently available, I know. I purchased a new one from Pyramid and have been making some "Improvements". Nice to see all the custom furniture created for these basic and fun pistols- Enjoy !!

N/A  Avenger or JTS airacuda

I just ordered a xm1 scout (should be here on Monday) after a couple of deals don’t go through with an avenger X. Am all exited about getting the scout but can’t help myself wandering if I went the wrong way. How would you compare the two of them? Which one do you personally like more?
I like them for different reasons. The AVX is very capable out to 100 yards and fun to shoot cans out to 200+ with my .25. The scout is very accurate out to 50 with stock settings and can plink cans out to 125 or so with the .22 cal. I prefer the scout for squirrel because it’s much lighter and more compact. The ergos are a little better and it’s a very similar quality/feel. I was shocked at how massive the AVX was when I got it and pleasantly surprised at the size of the Scout. I’m still looking for my first bullpup but I think the scout is a good middle ground for now.

So i have a old bushnell banner 6-24 x 40mm AO - totally overkill? for Notos

yeah id hate to put more money in a pest control rifle but with the huge banner scope it looks a bit ridiculous... And if im going to spend more $ was hoping to be able to have day / night scope like the NV100 Plus (3-12X56). what are some of the budget friendly scope that you all use.. something with side focus.... a NV setup would be nice but even with new tech and costs coming down think they'd be out of budget
Everythings getting out of budget 🥴

Brocock/BRK  Brocock Sniper XR, general thoughts

@MikeVV , this is the actual barrel length on the Pathfinder. A shorter shroud would achieve what you want… Then there’s the matter of the stock…

Perfect,
Thanks much for the dimensions on the Pathfinder barrel, much appreciated.
Not exactly sure how to work the barrel, shroud, and some sort of add-on muffler, but this gives me a good reference.

And yeah, I guess it's worth doing a search for a full sized stock before buying the full Sniper XR rifle. Although, right now, the XR with the 300cc cylinder is pretty cheap!

EDgun  Edgun Leshiy 2 Questions

Love the .25 Hornet 350 Mod50! Accurate as you know what, consistent, solid. Bought it from EGW in 2022 and it's still like brand new. I keep it on a tripod as it's just that awesome of build. They don't offer this configuration any longer. I'd bought barrels in .22 but never installed or even touched the reg setting from when it was delivered. Put some Jack K mag holders on, valkyrie grip and some nice glass. I should chrony it, those .25s hit hard. Good luck, you'll love these!

Talon Air Gun Sale

I see it now thanks. I think that is still less than they were originally and these might be some of the best pcps ever made. If I can sell some stuff quick enough I will try to buy it, but it’s gonna be sold faster than I can pull the coal out of my Christmas stocking.
I hear you. Still kicking myself for missing the well below 200 dollar refurb kratos guns. Great deal.
