Best scope for ProSport .177 benchrest out to 75 yds.?

I guess on a springer one you can trust not to start to point change on you as you go .. nuttin like your scope rattling out in the middle of something m.lol
Proper mounting will eliminate problems. Use Burris Signature Rings with the plastic inserts. Use the system to keep your scope as close to center as possible before cranking on the turrents. The inserts will soak up lots of the vibration from the spring which is what's tough on scopes. All my scopes have 10s of thousands of shots on them, to date, no problems. Lots a perceived Springer scope problems are a lack of consistent shooting skills I believe.

Epic  Epic Two Barrels

What I mean you can not shoot a 45 gr .25 cal slug from a Lw .550 mm barrel at appropriate velocity while you can do it with a 700 mm due to a longer barrel and less Reg pressure. I do not shoot .22 cal at all so can not compare between the two. So if your plan is to shoot heavy slugs a 550 mm is not appropriate
Ah, thanks for clarifying that!

I’m not going for the heaviest slug, but rather the most accurate. If a 34 gr slug gives me sub MOA at 100- 150y then no need to go any heavier (unless there’s a better heavier one out there).
The heaviest I’ve ever shot is 43.5 and it didn’t do so good out of my Impact. But 37g Zans do very well
Anyway, my goal is bench accuracy with slugs in the Epic Two. I’ll more than likely go 700 mm but I hope I make the best choice with barrel manufacturers.
The input has been much appreciated.

Items Lost, Broken, or Malfunctioned Afield - Airguns and Accessories

@Ezana4CE - was that an Uncle Mike's or an off brand sling stud? You have me suspiciously eyeing my slings.

And just a thought for flip-cap scope cover users. In the motorcycle world we often use hairspray to keep grips from rotating once mounted(it also helps to slide them on). Just spray the inside, and while wet, slide them on and don't use until it dries. It should help stick them in place.

And to the topic, most of my gear failures happen at home because I will walk around with stuff "on trial" for use, it doesn't always keep something from happening in the field but it helps me determine if it will help or hinder.
I've definitely broken a few 3D printed moderators walking in the woods. It sucks but an hour of printer time and I'm back up and running.
@AmosBurton That’s a Browning branded sling. The swivel mounts came with the sling. The studs come standard on the gun.

Tuning  Scope shots of chamber/port area ...I wanna see em if ya got em.

Those Cratex bits are where I need to be going for pre lands, the only worry is were the transition to lands. Why does that reamer work even have to be done.? Is it because they need to clean off edges of inside of port for no sharp edges.?
You need/want a taper leading into the rifling LANDS so that the lead of the pellet/slug is having the land PRESSED INTO the lead and not CUT into the lead.
For a pellet / slug that is chambered into a Non-Taper start of rifling will trend to get looser and looser at it travels towards muzzle because the lead where at contact with each & every land has been removed there becomes very little radial tension within the bore / pellet fit. When the pellet/slug has the Lands PRESSED in there is a tad more radial tension as it moves towards muzzle.

** Then there is the resulting CHAFF of lead pieces shaved away during loading the further those little pieces of lead can foul bore as not all is blown out and the next & next are going over these pieces of lead potentially burnishing them onto the bores land/groove surfaces.

The little Empire that could...

Kola, here in the US many folks have Guinea fowl as domestic fowl ,like chickens. My sister had a few several years ago. They were very good watch "dogs".

Many are domesticated here as well, in fact, and I find irony in it, on this very farm where the owner wants the wild birds controlled due to the damage they cause, there is a chicken coop with chickens and guinea fowl 🤣

They are damn clever and watchful, and noisy.
About the only time they are ‘stupid’ is when they are roosting and you shine a spotlight on them.

HW/Weihrauch  # of Mags per fill ??

I hand pump both of mine, so 20 strokes takes it from where I left off to full 200 bar. So I only shoot 10 shots then refill. Since the pump is about 5-6 steps from shooting bench so no big deal for me. I shoot from 190-200 bar fill down to still in green somewhere. I'm finding extreme precision with this procedure. Actually 190 bar start then 10 shots. I'm not at all interested in max number of shots per fill. I need to be able to shoot 100-10x for NRA smallbore practice.

Taipan  I got a new Taipan Veteran!

Here are the final forms (for now) for these two rifles. .22 caliber on top with the night scope, and .25 caliber at the bottom. Both have unchoked CZ barrels.

The .22 has the Huma regulator set to 88 bars shooting the 15.89gr Hades at 883 FPS. Gets a smidge over 60 shots from a full fill at 27 FPE.

The .25 has the Huma regulator set to 128 bars shooting the 33.95gr King Heavy at 835 FPS. Gets a smidge over 30 shots from a full fill at 52 FPE.
