N/A  Need Advice on a PCP Purchase

I have four BRKs and have owned six, the Sniper HR was my second BRK. Currently my Pathfinder is my favorite, it is but a scaled down Sniper/Commander variant. You have made a fine, solid choice. Mine have won me over through reliability and in the field performance…

L.Leon,

You need to know that I’ve taken time to read many comments about the Brocock guns on this site today. Your endorsements of this platform and the fact that you have had experience with so many other platforms and endorsed the Brocock with your money not just your mouth also played a major role in my decision. Thank you

AEA  AEA Megalodon fill port leak.

I would try AEA first, you might try any shop that sells AEA stuff. They were upgrading that AEA element to have dual tanks by adding a tank to the back and doing away with folding stock and I believe that was the end for that tank with that fill port in it. They used that same set up as on the rear of a Meg. If not AEA maybe Bintac could hook you up.

make sure to get a fill probe with it, I tried to order something similar from amazon and I couldn’t find anything to fit port but the AEA probe.

Beeman Pellets.

Happy thanksgiving to everyone! I recently got these from my grandpa. I was curious about them. Does anyone know what they’re worth? I’ve seen that they’re at-least 35 years old since they were made in west Germany. Many of the tins are sealed. I was planning on selling most of them since I really don’t need 5000 pellets. Is there any interest for them? Thank you!

Beeman Raider
I have a Beeman Raider in .177 and one in .22.
Each were around $120-$125 shipped.
They are quite accurate at 50-60 yards.

I bought them for the low price and the challenge of tuning unregulated PCPs with small air tubes :)

I added the valve hammer buffer (AKA Bstaley mod) to both.
These are the tunes I have for them

Raider .177

Pellet: Norma domed 9.1 grains
Pressure: 3800/3900 PSI to 2500PSI
Velocity: 840-863 FPS
Shots: 50+ (4 mags + some extra)

Mods
Valve hammer buffer (BStaley)
Height: 2.90-2.95mm, OD: 22mm, ID: 12mm

Raider .22

Pellet: CPHP 14.3 grains
Pressure: 4000PSI to 2600PSI
Velocity: 685-712 FPS
Shots: 60 (6 mags)

Pellet: CPHP 14.3 grains
Pressure: 3800-3900PSI to 2700PSI
Velocity: 692-712 FPS
Shots: 40 (4 mags)

Mods
Valve hammer buffer (BStaley)
Height: 2.5mm, OD: 22mm, ID: 12mm

Crosman  Crosman 2240 Target grip video. Help me grow my channel.

One option you could try is getting the bolt/handle for a Prod and making it a rear cocking design. That will fit the 22 mags no problem then. It would also eliminate the bolt o-ring which will end up getting chewed up by the mags over time. This would require a barrel with internal o-ring though, or an o-ring set into the breech and the barrel pressed against it to seal.
I will look into this. I was trying to keep it simple so you didnt have to change the barrel and so on.

dry lube

the reason i went with the powdered graphite was to avoid any kind of liquid that would allow particulates to stick to it. still no POI changes.

i did forget to include that i also slugged the barrel before the graphite treatment and after. it’s definitely “slicker” after getting the graphite treatment.
i’m experimenting with the notos platform since it’s an easier barrel to take off vs a huben k1.
im also going to assume that any barrel that doesn’t have the smoothest rifling might benefit from this.
