FX  Impact Leak at angled manometer mounting location

I went ahead and used some blue loctite after doing some research here.

If that don’t work, then I’ll try the oring piece.

If that don’t work, I guess I may need one of those angled manometers that should have come with the rifle from the factory in the first place iykwim

thanks

Airforce  Zeroing Airforce Texan SS CF .457

Hey all...Newbie here to the airgun world. I have done plenty of lurking here and a lot of good info. I just had a couple of questions for you all. I picked up an Airforce Texan SS CF .457, mounted a Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40mm and will be shooting NSA 350gr HP and 240gr HP (based solely off information from the website).

Yong Heng 4500psi compressor
2 6.8L SCBA tanks
Caldwell Chrono

I shot a few times already just to test 'er out...shooting resting on a fence post at about 40 yards. Got it relatively close. Now for the real sight in...

1. The temperature has dropped this week to about 10 degrees. I was hunting last week and it was in the 30s and 40s. Should temp fluctuation be a concern for accuracy? Say I sight in a when it's 10 degrees and hunt when it's 50, would there be any wild fluctuations?

2. What distance would you recommend a zero. I was hoping to do 75-100 yards. I am hoping to take whitetail with it inside of 100 yards. So maybe start out at 50?

3. I have done preliminary research on the power wheel settings and I know they will probably be different for the different weight of slugs. I was thinking of hunting with the 350gr, will the POI be wildly different between the two weight slugs? Has anyone been able to have their gun zeroed for various weight slugs by changing the power wheel?

Thank you all, I'm sure I'll come up with more as I go down the rabbit hole...already looking at adding Huben K1 and GK1 but wanted to get the hunting gun ready to go first.

Corbin x punch in .30

Has anyone here tried these in .30 im thinking bout getting the corbin press and thinking the x punch slugs would be awesome in 60ish or so grains
A press is the way to go to easily dial in a real accurate hunting slug. Buy those die sets from.Corbins a thousandth of an inch or two bigger than exactly .300" (so .301" .3015" .302") This way they can be easily sized down to fit that barrel's accuracy or even to fit multiple .30 caliber barrels. Most 30 caliber barrels are made right around .300" which makes the standard .300" die slug a sloppy fit for accuracy and potentially a waist of money.

Edit to add: Yes, Corbin will make you an X-Punch for your intended or existing die set. These X-Punch's are made to order and not an "off the shelf" item.

I've been running Tuxings for a couple years now and never had an issue with their pumps.
Currently a TXEDM042, I like the double air filtration.
TXES012 is my backup.
The hose on the TXEDM042 is ID: 1/4 OD: 5/8

FX  FX DRS .22 600 mm super high power plenum is in the way to it's new home.

This magazine is really good !!:

I have never used an Eagle Vision magazine for the DRS.

I however have used Orion The Iguana Hunter Magazines for the DRS and the work flawlessly !

Everyone’s situation is different but I would never zero an air rifle at 100 because to me that is close to the outer limits of their range. Just my opinion and I know people kill things out 100’s of yards with airguns. That will just never be me. Zero at 50 know your hold over or dial up to 100. Much beyond that things that go bang are just far superior.
That's pretty much what I have always done as well. Just was curious what others were doing with this rifle and it's capabilities. And true, most of my kill shots have been 80 yards or less. Knowing my hold-over from 50 has worked for me in the past. Especially with doing a lot of hiking and brush hunting, many shots are on the fly are far as figuring distance, etc. You are probably right, I should stick with what I know works for me. I appreciate the input.

RTI  UNVEILING THE SECRETS BEHIND THE RTI PROPHET'S ACCURACY WITH FX LINER!

What are the essential elements for maximizing accuracy with an airgun? Let's explore the key factors that can help you hit your mark like a pro!The precision and effectiveness of an airgun hinge on several key factors that must work in perfect harmony. From the barrel and rifling to controlling the vibrations due to the firing mechanism or designing a specific projectile for the targeted setup.Approximately two and a half years ago, the SKK tuning team embarked on a mission to attain the highest level of accuracy in airgun precision shooting. This initiative involved the design, development, and manufacturing of specialized components. To achieve this objective, numerous ideas and approaches have been explored throughout this process. The team is now prepared to share their journey and unveil some of the innovations and insights they have discovered along the way.

HW30 / R7 stripped grub screw question.

Big thanks to members, Max trouble,Beerthief,Devils Luck and Hateful McNasty for taking the time to help me out.
Max trouble, I did check out TC Chambers but they didn’t have a part number for that little grab screw so sent them a text asking about it but no reply .
Devels Luck, I think McMaster Carr is in the United States,. I live in Nova Scotia Canada but we have all kinds of hardware stores here so I might have found it. However it’s jammed back in the block and I was afraid to take it out without having one to replace it
Hateful McNasty, really appreciate the visual you included. I would’ve done the same thing but wasn’t sure how to put a photo on here. Also I did manage to get the screw back in but it wasn’t pretty. That screw will not be going back in again. I just hope I didn’t hurt to threads in the block so I’m reluctant to take the whole thing apart again if I can’t find that screw. Also the link that you sent me , the Ottawa Shooting Supply was perfect, like finding a needle in a haystack for me. I would’ve never found It.
Thanks again,
Al

High FPS in 177 & not 22

What I’ve experienced in the last maybe four years has me done with painting them with a broad brush. Last year I was experimenting with a .25 FX pellet shooter for squirrel. Things were fine at 50 but horrible at 75 yards. Sped the gun up to slug speed and bingo, wound up with a 100 yard non 33.95 pellet gun for the season.

Thanks. 👍🏼

Here ya go!

That's what I was looking for! Firewalker you found it, I knew I'd seen them but couldn't find them now for the life of me. Much appreciated, I don't know if the dimensions are the same but I can figure that out with the ebay seller. Which I wouldn't have found without community help. Thank you very much.
