I just got a raw mini chassis. 22 a few days ago. So far I have no complaints, it's a sweet rig.

Yup.
I try to use modular mods so I can choose my audible poison. In this case though, hard to find a .30 or .35 mod that uses M18x1 threads.
If you have any ideas about where to find one, happy to hear
The R1 is the same rifle as the HW80 and HW80's are still in production, which is good for you when it comes to parts availability.Well guys...thank you for all of your input. Yesterday I ran across an auction for a Beeman R1. On a whim, I submitted a bid, Last night I found out that I won the bid. So I guess I'll be shooting an R1- for better or worse.
It's a .177 so I still may be in the hunt for a .22 at some point.
I agree.FX Pocket Chronograph V2.
I just added the CRC plenum and am now getting around 22-23 fpe.
Of the 3 Mike and I bought, the serial number spread was something like 218. They were produced within days of each other.Lovely pair of NOS HW30S! Great find! They're lovely guns to shoot. Mine is a few months older than those: #461814. Pre-safety Weihrauchs are great!
Nice work!A very talented member helped me out with my 853.View attachment 536512

STO Falx is actually quiet, unlike Donny’s.Get a Silent Thunder Ordnance Falx or Pugio.
I have both, the Falx works best for higher power setups like my DRS Pro 25 700 at 85 ftlbs.

Falx — Silent Thunder Ordnance
The Falx carries a dimensional envelope of 40x170mm, ~180 grams, with a semi-modular serviceable aluminum-tube design. The same proven principles of air stripping, flow delaying, and sound absorption remain but now in an even more advanced form. This brings improved manufacturability, reducing pricewww.silentthunderordnance.com
The Pugio works great on my DRS 22 700 at 70+ ftlbs.

Pugio — Silent Thunder Ordnance
The Pugio carries a dimensional envelope of 40x100mm and a mass of only 82 grams (2.9oz). Building on the Falx, Sarissa, and Accipiter the Pugio is super compact and light with outstanding performance for it’s size. Packed into this tiny package is all the same proven principles but shrunk down withwww.silentthunderordnance.com
I think I shot my wad on tanks . Jeez now the compressors only run maybe twice a week. You are correct. The only issue is Chinese counterfits and Seconds. When you buy from stateside or european company they have their own inspection and Insurance. When you buy from China from random Aliexpress seller you can be getting seconds or counterfits. We had an experience right before covid with Plastic parts from a reputable Chinese subsidiary of an American company that provided plastic parts with fake certifications of material (purchasing failure on their part). The plastic was missing a critical chemical componenet and when parts were assembled in the states the off gassing of the adhesive made the parts crack. Back tracing showed the material was purchased on some secondary market with fake certification. Massive losses and delays. Everyone gets to gauge their own risks. My customer chose the supplier and sustained a loss. Was it worth based on what they saved for the 10 years prior, probably yes. Will they do it moving forward, probably not. Did the American owner of the Chinese supplier compensate my customer to at least some degree, yes.
As an owner of four Brococks,I can say you arent just whistling dixie about the quality of the brand. For hunting and pesting,BRK will leave ya smiling everytime. I have three XR magnums in various configurations, and calibers, including one bolt action HRHP 22 and I just recently acquired the pathfinder XR in 22. I would tell anybody hunting or pesting, that Pathfinder is a sweet little compact powerhouse. Mine came shooting about 25 fpe with 18 grains.I would say buy yhe best quality you can afford. many of us started out in the under $800 range and the upgrade soon after wishing we bought the better one the first time.
Second I would say I wouldn't be afaid to buy used if you a careful the are a lot of hardly used high quality guns to be had for great prices. Airgunners are a strange bunch, me included. We tend to fall for the latest and greatest new gun out there and in a couple of months sell in at a loss to get the next latest and greatest leaving a lot of slightly use high dollar guns in the classifieds begging for a new home. I prefer a used Brocock or Huben K1. You can pick up some Brococks for under $1000. use and they are excellent quality guns for hunting and really hold their value if you by used. A used Huben K1 can be had for around $1000 ifyou look for it. The Huben has plenty of power and accuracy for 100+ shots. And it is semi auto which might be nice for the prairie dogs. Hope this helps.
