DISCOVEROPT ED-AR 1-8X24 LPVO Rifle Scope with Parallax Adjustment, First Focal Plane Rifle Scope 34mm Tube with Illuminated Reticle, Waterproof Fog-Proof Rugged Tactical Hunting Scope

Absolutely love all my discovery scopes. Even the lower FFP series are damn on point. I sold several much more expensive scopes and replaced with all Discovery optics. All save for one Arken .

Brocock/BRK  BRK Goodness…

Well, I'm not fully acquainted yet, as all I did was open the box and slap a scope on it. I ran a cleaning patch a few passes and couldn't find a spec of grime. Mirror finish by visual only. I guess match grade barrel is truth!
Side lever is buttery smooth nothing like any other PCP I own.
No ping sound when fired and is reasonably quiet. Note, I only fired on low.
Trigger is very nice and has a clean break. Just a tad heavy for my liking.

This Saturday, I'm going to break out the chrony, test more pellets, adjust the cheek rest and slightly adjust the trigger to break around 1.5 to 2 pounds......My guess, out of the box it breaks around 3 to 3.5ish......Other than that, I can't see the need to tune it or adjust anything major. Pretty much perfect out of the box! I ran out of warehouse length, I can't wait to test at 100M or 150M when the weather warms up.

First impression, I'm over joyed with my purchase! (y)
All my BRKs have been “out the box” great shooters… Zero tinkering on my part, like you described above, run a few patches through the barrel. Mount a scope and get to sending pellets… You might consider posting up in a separate thread your impressions on that sweet Sniper XR…🙏

Bolt Probe handle HELP

haha, this gun is far from pretty
Well... Pretty ragged .. not to say I don't got some ragged out myself that shoot good still ..

Ya, one said. Cut and drill ... I could see cut the bolt head off thread it then the gun bolt handle "ball" off. Drill and thread it and screw it on the new bolt with a drop of red .. it almost looks factory then ..lol

HW/Weihrauch  HW100: Strange Velocity

"Tuned" my new to me .177 HW100 to shoot 8.4gr JSBs at 825fps. I did this by lowering the reg pressure until they were shooting in the 840 range. Then I started turning down the hammer spring until I had it in the 820 range. I ran several extra shots to make sure it was consistent.

The next day I start the sight in process. First few shots sounded normal. Then they sounded weak along with a very low POI. Pulled the chrony out and found it was shooting 411 fps. I turned the hammer spring up 1/2 turn, and did another chrony run. 1st shot was 597, then the next shots, maybe 10 or so, constantly increased velocity.

The velocity topped at 896, then each shot afterwards started dropping until it was consistently in the 830fps range. I then turned the hammer spring down just a smidgen, and now it is back in the 820fps range. My hammer spring setting, if not exactly where it was at the end of the tuning is nearly so.

Anyone have a guess what happened?
Sounds like something got stuck, to me.

Looking for a carbon tank regulator

So a valve is to open and close/shut off. Your kitchen faucet is a type of valve. A valve is basically a contraption that lets something in or out, and is controlled manually or mechanically.
Now that you understand what a valve is and does, do you know what a regulator is? It’s important to know and understand terminologies in this hobby, as we’re dealing with high pressure air

FX  Anyone have an FX Dynamic Compact Takedown?

Simple answer, no. As far as I know, FX has not come out with a barrel kit that would allow for a simple change of the barrel/shroud/plenum and probe. Plus, since it has the over barrel plenum, you also have to completely degas the rifle to remove the barrel assembly. A caliber change can be done with a barrel liner and other caliber specific parts. Either way, it may as simple as a caliber/barrel change on an Impact.

RAW Rapid  Saber Tactical Chassis setup for Benchrest

RAW started shipping some guns with a plenum extension from the factory. Similar to the FX power plenum.

Picture showing the plenum extension compared to the width of the chassis
oh interesting didn’t know that . also they removed the bottom plug so how do you check the reg pressure ?

FX  FX PRS/Long range optimal platform

I am torn between the FX models. I want the best accuracy at every distance out to at least 300. I am a competitive PRS shooter already in both .22 and open (6 dasher) so I want my pcp to be as accurate if not more than both at 100 and close to dasher at 300. I’m between building a chassis rifle with the drs pro barreled action, the panthera 700, and the m4. I am looking for feedback from anyone that has significant experience with FX air rifles that can truly speak to the differences between these specific platforms from experience. Thanks guys. (I’d love to feel confident at 300 and hopeful at 500 with .22 slugs for more clarity which seems very possible (sub MOA) with good wind reads
I'm not a competitive shooter.

I have a DRS Pro 25 700 and a Classic 22 700 and I can say the 22 caliber drifts more in the wind, drops more at the same range and takes way more air to achieve the same velocity with a 40gr. slug.

I use my rifles for prairie dog shooting so I limit my range to 200 yards.

Both rifles will shoot MOA in ideal conditions.

I have shot some sub MOA groups 150 and 200 yards in ideal conditions with the DRS Pro.

I have never owned a Pathera but I would think that it would be a better long range rifle because it is capable of shooting heavier slugs faster than the DRS.

Altaros make a 49.5, 60 and 66gr in .25 caliber

Hatsan  Mod 65 mod gallery. Show off your mod camos and add-ons.

Got my Mod65 today. Plenty to diss, but nothing bad. Overall the metals on the scope and one of the Monte Carlo rest's screws show bare metal... a grip on the scope is pretty hideous because of it.
I personally love the gun already, flaws and all. Lots to love. Anyways, I'm onto modding mine into a Dr. Jekyl Mr. Hyde. I have some good Ideas, but being a springer is got some limits.

To start things off, I went to the Dollar Store and grabbed some ladies leggings, 2 sizes, and fitted 4 of them over this to make it A) protected somewhat and B) stealthy. These type of legging seem to absorb light, thanks to their transparency which seem let light in but trap it. Not exactly NASA material but it does a good job. I have other mods to show off when they're installed. I'm curious to see what else people have done to their 65s.

I kinda like how this just looks like a mystery gun now. Sorry for the poor lighting but its just a black silouette in any light. My whole goal is to be able to change the appearance completely and quickly with reversable leggings and basic wraps. One for dark, one for snow, and a few for various terrains. Yes they do make camo pantyhose and yes I'm prolly going that route because I really find it to be an easy, effective and cheap way to go.
