Good luck on the Rex that does not leak,,, Make sure to check in the morning ,,, Just a note, I have never---never seen a pointed pellet that was accurate in any PCP gun,, Now I have not shot all pellets or all air guns but thats my 2 cents worth...

The superpoints I am just using up. I bought them with my first Airgun purchase at Tractor supply. Believe me I have accumulated many tins of various pellets and slugs to try out in my guns.
Still holding air as is the ZELOS and revere

Crosman  1701P - Color Me Impressed

I just picked a 1701P up from a member here myself. I've only had it to the range once but have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I touched nothing out of the box as it was delivered, except I upgraded the grips and added a 2 min optic. Testing on my Lyman trigger scale said it had a consistent 12 oz trigger that was fairly crisp. Not "lets go to the Olympics" crisp but likely the best trigger I've ever felt on a Crosman. I also liked the front sight arrangement better than what comes on the 2300S Co2 gun. What impressed me the most though were the Chrono numbers. Running the pistol over my Garmin Zero, I was getting an average of 466FPS with only a 1.6 FPS Standard Deviation. Lastly, as tuned/delivered, I got just over 65 shots from a 200 Bar fill to the point where I noticed some velocity drop to where POI changed. Better than expected really. All in all, I feel It's a pretty cool platform if your already set up to fill PCP.

Nice grips! And the source?

HW/Weihrauch  Broken Spring

I am grateful for the input of people who take the time to contribute to threads like these. This is the most mechanical thing I’ve done in years, and I wouldn’t have had the confidence to try it without having these online resources; Volunteers would be another way to describe them!

We all learn this stuff together. It's a two way street. Your experiences and outcomes are a wealth of knowledge for anyone who offers advice or follows the conversation.

The guns are simple enough anyone could work on them. It's a big jump if you don't have a shop full of tools and a plumbers license. But once you dive into it It's not that bad. You just need the voice of someone who has made some mistakes to steer you away from them.

No matter what kind of air rifle you are working on there are a dozen guys here in love with one. They will know everything about it. They all want to tell you how they do it or how they did it or what they are going to do to it next.

They peck at each other and crane their leathery necks sometimes, but you will always get a wealth of information from the discussion. It's usually spot on. There is a whole bunch of experience represented here.

RTI  Does the P2 / P3 balanced valve work at low power?

Does the P2 / P3 balanced valve work at low power?

I remember reading a while ago that some members had issues with low power tunes on the RTI P2 (and maybe P3, which is similar).

❓ At what "low" power did you have problems?
➠ Would you tell me:
▪ Gun (P2 or P3)
▪ Caliber
▪ Barrel (500mm compact or 600mm regular)
▪ FPE (or projectile weight and velocity)

🔹 Do you know how it is when your wife conscripts you to unpaid physical labor of rearranging any amount of furniture, spread over two stories in the house — only to declare to you at the end of the moving simulation:
"Well, I think I like it better how it was. Put it all back to where it was, honey." 🤦🏻‍♂️

🔹 Yeah, I'm trying to avoid a similar situation of moving 3 scopes, barrels, and retuning everything — only to discover that what I wanted to do isn't working.... "Put it all back how it was, dummy!" 🤦🏻‍♂️

🟠 Sure, if you have any other comments on the following tune, fire away!
Option 🅐:
I'm thinking of tuning a
P2
.30cal
600mm barrel
➠ 600fps with 50.15gr = 40FPE — or
➠ 550fps = 34FPE

Option 🅑:
P2
.22cal
400mm(!) barrel
➠ 800fps with 15.89gr = 23FPE

Thanks for your input!

Factory Zero

Go to the top of the adjustment and count clicks until you reach the bottom. Then divide by 2 and count that many clicks back up. You will then be at mechanical zero. Do the same with windage if needed.
Great suggestion, but I have the attention span of a beagle. I did the math based on the total MOA and clicks per MOA. Also used the calipers and divided the measurement in half.

Hill dry pack pro silica refill.

thanks for the link,
but a quick question,
the one that hill pump guys are selling are not gel based,
they are more like clay material!!!
Does that matter ???
They drydry beads are more like hard plastic. The stock beads that comes with the hill pump are like clay. Both are designed to absorb water so doesn't matter which you choose. I just go with the drydry beads cause they will change color to let you know when it's time to change it. Also the cray beads that comes with the hill pump have like dust/powders that can get into the pump. The drydry doesn't so I prefer that instead.

Need help building/understanding a proper filtration system

If you live where air conditioning is a necessity. Show some love to your HPA pump by operating it in an air conditioned space. Helpful for cooling, but primarily moisture is greatly reduced.
Thankfully it is not the case, mountain region here so it's cold most of the time, even during blazing summers.

FWB  FWB 124 Deluxe

There are some on popular auction sites
Good luck finding a 127 you can afford. We didn’t get very many. You can swim the English Channel and find one. UK got all the 127’s and they scrounge for 124’s
^^This appears to be a true statement. Out of 151 Beeman stamped FWB 12X guns in my records, ten of them are model 127's. That's works out to be 6.6%. So a realistic figure would be that only 10% of US imported FWB 12X series were .22 caliber.

FedEx 2nd Delivery..

Be glad that FedEx recognizes your address. I have lived at the same location for over 30 years, but Thay don't show my address so I'm not there. I have sent them google maps screen shots of my location to no avail.
It took them yrs to acknowledge my address it wasn't until they started using GPS that they actually figured it out. And they still manage to deliver my stuff to the wrong address. Even delivered something 12 miles from me and refused to go get it, I ended up driving to address and picking it up. Only reason I knew it was there was the idiots that shipped it wrote my phone number on outside of box for the whole world to see and the property owner called me and ask if I was expecting a package :)

FX  New cheekpiece for my M4

Looks good! Is the surface finish raw or did you clear coat it? The reason I ask is carbon fiber and glass reinforced filaments tend to have exposed fibers that will embed in your skin when handling the raw material. If your cheek feels itchy after a shooting season, it will be from these exposed fibers breaking off into your skin. Applying a clear coat to the top surface should encapsulate the fibers and stop this. If you want the matte finish without the fibre re-enforcement, I know of a matte black Petg filament that is produced by California filaments that might be the ticket. I have not personally used their matte Petg products, but have had great results with their regular Petg products. You might be able to achieve a satisfactory matte finish with regular black Petg by upping to max volumetric flow rate on your printer. Conduct a max volumetric flow rate test and determine at which rate the surface finish goes from shiny to matte. This will be at the cost of the overall strength of the final product though.
Thanks for the advice. We have been using them for a week now without complaints. But I have made some from ASA too that looks really smooth too. Just need to keep the speed down for max result.
