Cool airgun collection for sale on ebay

It's a prototype, not sure what that means as it looks like a production SN.
I think it is referring to the silver “stainless look” receiver. Interesting that is doesn’t have the “commemorative” disk inletted into the stock. The actual limited edition guns had a serial number R0XXX.

Swissair,

earlier you mentioned using a bunch of trains to get to the gun shop. From the snipped quote, I wonder how did the trip back home go, since anyone with any gun exposure can tell what a gun slip is. Is this a non-issue in urban Switzerland? (I know you guys have lots and lots of firearms).
I had 3 trains to get there and 2 back as it was a different route. I had 20-odd minutes between connections on the way back so I went for a walk around the town centre with our dog, with the rifle in a soft carry case over my shoulder. Didn't feel like I stood out and I wasn't worrying that I might have an issue.
I've done a few cross-country train and bus trips to collect rifles and never had anyone say anything. Whilst travelling by train and making stops at railway stations, I've also made a pre-arranged pick-up of a rifle on the platform, and I've handed over one I've sold.
Always discrete of course, but I never felt like anyone was even looking at what I was carrying.

When I was in the gun shop there was a guy whose grandfather had evidently passed away and left some guns behind which the guy wanted to dispose of. The guy didn't have a car though, so the gun shop guys said they would drive over and collect the guns. If you inherit guns here, you have 6 months to sort out a license (if needed*) or to dispose of them.
* You don't need a license to buy/own ex Swiss military rifles, including repeaters like the K11 or K31 or semi-autos like the Stgw57. I hope I can find a Hämmerli Trainer system at an affordable price one day, and then I'll buy a K31 to use it!

Airforce  Yet More Texan questions. Why the swing in votes?

Hoping you Folks are up for a couple "what if's?"

I have seen good reviews on the 451 Megalodon. It's a pump action. (and more money!) 8 good shots per fill, excellent accuracy.

And the 357 Rattler. Seems to get Raves as an all around gun.

And finally, is there that much difference in performance between a LSS and an SS Texan? I measured out the length with a tape measure. Wow!

I read a forum post here where the young man, 30 ish I think, wants to buy his "One and Done " gun. He was advised that he was young,
Don't lock yourself in for one gun. Well, I'm old, so this will most likely be the last Airgun.

That's why I am agonizing here, Sorry.

Can someone recommend an article or info on dealing with the heat as I live in OK.

Should I be leary of buying a used scuba-type tank. I'm not into buying a bomb!

TIA

Ken

Tampa area tuners/technicians

I’ve shipped hundreds of guns and only had 2 problems. Lots of great information on this site about pros and cons of shippers and how to pack and box a gun for shipping so that doesn’t need to be addressed here. I will strongly suggest that you DO NOT ship a gun this time of year so close to the holidays since the temporary workers are inept gorillas for the most part.

Pellet selection for tuning

I do not own a Zelos but I have 3 P35s which are also made by SPA. I test new guns to see what weight pellet will fly 800 to 900 fps with the hammer spring at 3 to 5 % under peak velocity. If that pellet weight is OK for what I want to do with the gun I don't initially tweak the regulator. I test pellets of similar weight from multiple suppliers. My P35s have all come tuned for heavy for caliber pellets except the 25 which likes 34 grains but couldn't shoot them very fast without an after market plenum. Anyway, my guess is you should start with 18 grain pellets and you may want 21 grain H&Ns and 25 grain JSB, possibly. If the velocity is OK with the 18s but the accuracy is not try another vendors 18. My Caiman prefers H&N 18s but my P35-22 likes 21 grain Baracuda Match much better. The Caiman is better designed for even a 25 grain pellet but it does not like them. I've tried retuning a gun to like a pellet but it didn't work for me. What Scott said is right IMHO. Find a pellet then try fine tuning the tune for a little more accuracy. Two of my 3 P35s prefer H&N baracuda march pellets but the 25 likes JSBs. I've tested other brands but no others have been the best in my 6 guns.

GX CS4-i water pump/board fail

UPDATE: Worked with Ankul on replacement parts thru Amazon, the water pump and board. They arrived during a trip, Ankul didn't communicate the shipment, but did let me know when I inquired.

I installed the new water pump and board, and everything works just fine. Took about half an hour.

Ankul also says they will refund me $30 for my trouble after I report the fix (which I already did).

Resources  A Good Target Backer is Good

Just remember…

The 80 or 110 lb cardstock paper targets work best with “thick” cardboard or other backing. If the backing is too thin or is full of holes from too many outings, it doesn’t matter about the cardstock weight.

The backing is what makes the best holes in my experience.
