Air Arms  Conditioning new Air Arms walnut stock?

Just received a new air arms TX 200 in Walnut today. Would like to know what the expert consensus is about conditioning the stock right out of the box? It looks a little dry. Thanks for any help.
Hey Guys,
I know this is going to sound crazy, but when my BSA R10 came years ago with a beautiful Walnut stock ... it was dry and needed conditioning.

I accidentally wiped some gun oil on the stock which looked very good, so I covered the entire stock with regular gun oil - it looked fantastic and sealed the grain. Couldn't be more simple ..... I reapply about every couple years (y) .

Now waiting on GX pump. Sigh.....

@paperpuncher
If you find any quiet fans that fit please post then info.
I just received a CS-3 and consider the fan noise horrible
Thanks
Edward
Try Newegg and nice computer case fans .. match CFM specs and all and read user reviews on noise. You know them guys want -0- noise computers running not 1960 hoover vacuum noisy..lol. Some of them fans you never know there on till you put your hand in front ..

FX  Crown FPS confustion

If you want some more information on tuning in general and tuning a Crown in particular, I recommend Sub12Airgunners on YouTube. They are in the UK and do complete tear downs, maintenance, rebuilds, and tuning on lots of air guns - almost all are limited to 12 ft lbs of energy due to the laws in the UK. But they always show the differences with higher powered versions (know as FAC for Fire Arms Certificate in the UK) .

I am attaching their video on tuning a Crown. It is really useful for his explanation of the speed-hammer-spring compression curve. This applies to any airgun which uses a sliding weighted hammer to strike a mechanical valve to release the air pressure to the barrel.

Cheers,
Greg

New to PCP - heres my line up!

Yeah be aware of the early adoption hype because most airgun Co's would rather ask for forgiveness than get their guns sorted out well to begin with. That means you get to be the glorious "Beta Tester".

Might have something to do with "recouping capital" ASAP, LOL.

Funny thing is that reliability and high customer satisfaction to begin with would offset dismal sales once the word gets out that the Beta Testers were pissed off about problems.

Just take your time and research fully before you go "hog wild".

Gamo  NP Gamo mods

Have finished the piston mode was working on. Is much closer to diameter than factory
piston. And much lighter. Better inside lead for the ram rod. And since i was at it, changed the seal to a Weihrauch style. During the testing process, tend to believe may have damaged the gas ram by hitting the bottom. Can not tell, since the results are with the new piston. Still consistent, though. Have ordered a new ram that is 10% stronger than factory ram. Be some time before it gets here. Has anybody replaced the gas ram with a custom one?

Daystate  Daystate TSAR Rebuild

Just to put closure to this post. AirSmithCA, aka Lonnie contacted me via PM. I ended up sending him the breech and air tube and he dispatched the leak promptly. He tested and chrono'd it and it is back in my hands and holding air.
I appreciate everyone's input and help in this matter.

Events  N50

That's a thought. I know of one guy where I live who might do it. The question then is, where?
I belong to a local sportsman club and I knew of only 2 other Airgun shooters at our club. We have pretty active ARA matches so I thought we could encourage some of those shooters to join us for N50 matches. So we joined N50 and scheduled 2 matches per month April - October. One club member started posting info about our matches on FB and other Airgun forums. Soon we had 20+ shooters showing up and Airgunners were nearly 1/2 of the participants. We just finished our 3rd season and are currently planning our next year’s matches. It’s been a lot of fun and the ARA shooters are actually liking N50 better than ARA matches.

ARA and N50 matches are now generating more income for our club than any other activity that we have tried. The club realizes that these two events are paying the bills and have backed us by putting money back into our range facility. We have expanded our range house and added 4 additional concrete benches under roof bringing our total to 14 benches. We are already talking about adding more benches as we continue to grow.
