You don't want to just hit the head of an animal if you want to kill it you want to hit the brain. I traced the outline of my two most recent kills and the bigger on, almost 1.25 lbs had a head roughly 2 inches by 2 inches. But the brain is closer to 1/2 inch diameter. If you hit the head but miss the brain you may just injure the squirrel and watch it running off. The vitals, on the other hand is at least a 2x2 inch space. I kill half or more of my squirrels with brain shots but if I am unsure I'll hit the brain I'll take the vitals every time. I'd rather have them run six feet from a double lung with a 177 than have them go 50 yards or more with no jaw.

I am wondering when Daystate went to a 6 digit number for the Red Wolf. Example….RW 123456.

I purchased a Red Wolf from another great member here and it has 6 digits after the RW. Keep in mind, this rifle is only about 3-4months old at the max. Perhaps DS is changing up their process.

If anyone knows, please chime in…

Good customer support / care is the ONLY chance little companies / stores have to compete against MUCH bigger competitors.
But ! i must stress, the customer is NOT always right, there are many creeps out there that will not fess up to what ever mistake they made and will try their best to rub it off on somebody else.

I had issues with the EA Two i got from Wolfiek, but the brand itself have always taken very good care of me.
My contacts to Wolfiek was also replied to in time and i suppose with what i expected to hear.
All this i am hearing though do make me think if i should go shopping there again

Getting my FX Maverick repaired ( cocking handle broke clear off ) it took over 3 month at one of the local Authorized FX sellers, that indeed was not impressive, so also have feelings in that direction.
CUZ that at worst should have been a 3 hour job, or probably even smarter just send me the new part so i could ha ve replaced it myself in 1.5 hours.

i usually keep the gun between 890-920. its a good balance of power and accuracy with shot count

Thanks for giving us the actual weight and clarification that it is in fact 11.4 lbs . More should speak from actual experience instead of what they think is correct and all the fiction that get spread and repeated.

I had some old aspirin (outdated) tablets and glued them on a piece of card stock. Placed them about an inch apart and shoot them at the indoor range. Center hits result in a small white cloud. Fun and no mess.

Hey Guys,
I know this is going to sound crazy, but when my BSA R10 came years ago with a beautiful Walnut stock ... it was dry and needed conditioning.

I accidentally wiped some gun oil on the stock which looked very good, so I covered the entire stock with regular gun oil - it looked fantastic and sealed the grain. Couldn't be more simple ..... I reapply about every couple years .

Try Newegg and nice computer case fans .. match CFM specs and all and read user reviews on noise. You know them guys want -0- noise computers running not 1960 hoover vacuum noisy..lol. Some of them fans you never know there on till you put your hand in front ..
