Epic  teardown and barrel slugging of epic 2

47 minutes later. It looks promising. Cleaned the barrel ( really clean). Filled the air to 300bar
Loaded the magazine with thirteen Altaros 32.3 grain ( .217) atp smooths. The Uragan 2 King has a 13 round capacity, in .22 caliber. Not 12.
The first sighter hit dead center POA. The second shot " hole in one-ed" the first shot. I think I have my zero for slugs.

RAW .30 HM 1000X LRT, first shots

Hello @igolfat8

Thanks ThomasT
The Gray rifle likes the grey days!
The Blue is hanging in there, but i think the Gray has the edge

Mike
Mike, I made and added a 3" bag rider to the base of my LRT stock which works great.

Barra 250z .25 cal

What are you using for a scope? I'm shopping for good glass right now. 8^)

Use code whoteewho at checkout and it’s only 204 bucks. Cannot be beat for the money. Normally was 400 bucks

FX  Visit to Cape Fear Airguns!

I drove down to Cape Fear Airguns in Wilmington, NC to see the man himself Newman Buck. I was dropping off my rifle for a reseal under warranty, as Cape Fear is the east coast FX warranty center.

I’m glad to see his shop is doing well since the FX US closure. He is a very nice guy and obviously super knowledgeable. I didn’t know he also reps RAW and AirForce. It was nice to see and touch airguns you only see online. I have bought items online from him before and the experience was seamless also.

HW/Weihrauch  HW 97k trigger maintanence

I have had to clean and relube several HW triggers. The older ones all had old dried-up grease that was almost solid.

The stuff they used in my guns is like wax. Like cosmolene or bullet lube. I've seen it in several triggers. Dried chunks you just have to flush out of there with solvent. I don't think moly or red grease ever dries out like that. White lithium grease will turn to cheese pretty fast but not like that stuff.

The barrels have that waxy brown crap in them too. I think it's the same stuff they mash into the trigger housing before they crossthread the stock screws and ship them to New Jersey.

FX Impact M4 Sniper

Personally, I have owned 7 FX rifles, 2 Impacts, 3 Wildcats, a Bobcat and a Boss. All 7 came flawless, no leaks no scratches and each one shooting .5-inch groups at 50 yards out of the box. Until you understand how to tune and operate them you shouldn't try to. That said if I did receive a gun with a leak or other problems, I would send I'd back.

RUDE Surprise

UPS now charges for a box or plastic bag to ship free Amazon returns so keep the box you recieve stuff in so you can return and not get charged $4.18 for a plastic bag. . I am guessing the box price depends on the size box ?
So since received from two shipping cities i had to return to two places @ total $8.36 cost .
I save all my Airgun related boxes because many are unique sizes

NEW GX CS-3 Noisy: listen please

I just realized there are plenty of other things to read backwards in the video but I was fixated on the jamies for some reason. Great video and I will be sure to do that clean and re-grease maintenance when mine gets more hours on it. I have maybe 4 hours on mine right now but after we move it will really get a work out.

Taipan  1 complaint about new Taipan Vet 2 Standard

I'm starting to like most everything about the Taipan Vet 2 except for the noise it makes, I guess everyone has a different idea of what quiet is but to me this gun is not it. All my guns that are in or close to Taipans power are quieter with mods.. even in the woods squirrel hunting it seems fairly loud, shot at a squirrel at 60 yds and it definitely heard the shot when I missed.
Would like to take that big ugly mod off and put something else on it that might be more effective but the way its set up dont see how, if you've put a different one on or modded current one on your Vet2 please explain how and what you did.. Thanks in advance for any help.
Tony now carries the adapter for the vet 2. Take off the factory shroud and tube, attach the adapter and your mod of choice. I also find my shot report on the loud side.

How much of the plenum is used?

The most efficiently tuned airguns can make 2fpe for every cubic inch of air used. Most make 1-1.5fpe per cubic inch of air.

However, plenums are often measured in cc and of course they are pressurized, so it makes more sense to convert numbers to bar-cc.

The most efficient example (@2fpe/cu. In.) will use 8.2bar-cc of air per FPE.

A 50cc plenum with reg set at 100bar holds 5000bar-cc of air.

So, if your shot makes 50fpe, the very efficient AG will use 410bar-cc of air for that shot, which is less than 10% of the total air in the 100bar, 50cc plenum.

CanMike explains why this is the case…

@Scotay42 Care to share the resolution?
The seller said he had multiple of the same item. I explained that it was very confusing that the item i bought was never marked sold and that there should have been another post made or at least explained that he had multiple of the same item. Bad communication on the sellers part and confusing practice. It took quite a while to get a response during my.confusion as to why i posted about it. The item finally showed up 2 weeks after it was shipped from only 2 states away. I have not posted feedback on the transaction yet, as I just had dental surgery and have not had time to test the item i recieved.

When squirrels run

You don't want to just hit the head of an animal if you want to kill it you want to hit the brain. I traced the outline of my two most recent kills and the bigger on, almost 1.25 lbs had a head roughly 2 inches by 2 inches. But the brain is closer to 1/2 inch diameter. If you hit the head but miss the brain you may just injure the squirrel and watch it running off. The vitals, on the other hand is at least a 2x2 inch space. I kill half or more of my squirrels with brain shots but if I am unsure I'll hit the brain I'll take the vitals every time. I'd rather have them run six feet from a double lung with a 177 than have them go 50 yards or more with no jaw.
