Airgun Technologies  Urugan compact 2 caliber change

Hi There, you can search this forum for some insight but in the nutshell the answer is "No"
They are caliber specific and the company does not offer caliber change kits or barrels. You can get replacement parts for specific caliber guns.
Also which version is it? Uragan 1,2,or 3? I am assuming you buying used? if its 1 or 2 parts might not be available all.
If you willing to go up to .30 cal you can get new on for around 1200 or so if you look around (Uragan 2)
I am not a pro so if I am incorrect my apology, maybe some one else can chime in.
A friend of mine purchased Uragan compact Version 1 and wanted to go up in caliber, (Kinda same way you are trying to do) since it was cheap. After all the research, he ended upon buying a new Uragan 2 from Talon Tunes.

You can read some more here

https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/can-you-swap-calibers-barrels-on-the-uragan-ii.1324078/

Hope this helps
BTW don't get stuck with the idea of buying a gun just cuz it's cheap. You might spent more $ on it than buying New one lol
Ive been there.
That's what I have been reading, socks cuz it was cheap, but i don't really got a use for a .177,
Thanks for the heads up tho.

Replacement foam for rifle cases

When we were prepping to travel to Finland I got to looking for replacement foam for a couple rifle cases that had already been plucked for other configurations.

I was surprised by the cost of foam and quickly concluded that it was about the same to just buy a whole new case.

My wife suggested that maybe we just buy a 2" memory foam pad for a twin mattress and cut it up into case sized pieces. I was not sure how they would work out but it ended up far surpassing the original case foams and didn't need gun specific cutting. We got 4 case sized pieces from one twin pad...plus a little extra.

I used 2 pieces of the foam to sandwich the guns, actions, and extra barrels ....plus the original solid top and bottom foam from the cases and everything was exactly in the same place when we arrived and returned. Nothing moved a millimeter. Plus it can be used again and again for any new configuration since you are not cutting pockets in it.

It's actually way better than custom cut foam inserts.

It was a happy surprise.

Mike
Great idea! This might help me with target packaging. Commercial packing material can be expensive

FX  FX Impact MKII compact slug weight question

I havent shot full power in a while to confirm it but my finicky ways is usually I demand 2 mags on a fill from a setup. I have my 700 in 22 at 75 fpe for max and 51 for low. I've got more barrel and bottle, so it's not a fair comparison. In reality I need half a mag for even most squirrel days and who am I kidding, there's always an scba in the truck.

I put a zulus optic on my impact that range finds and ballistic solves and does 2 shot zeros pretty well. My ammo and air use has plummeted.
Yeah my ATN does the "one shot zero" but in reailty is it at least 3 and the ballistic calc saves a lot of lead and air!

WRABF World Championships in Finland

As grueling of a trip it was it was still a great time. 24 hrs travel days, 11 time zones, sunsetting at about 11:30pm, and Jeff and Mike coming down with the curse of the Panama Canal at the beginning of everything. I got lucky and got it later in the week but I tell ya I've never yawned so much in one week. We pushed through and Mike did great. Jeff and I hung in there as best we could to help win the HV division. Mike's pushing me to arrange for 2027 in S Africa :LOL:o_O.
mate, the flight to South Africa will be longer than Finland! Also in the summer of 2027 we will actually be in the South African winter and the nights are cool and cold. You better be fully prepared. :D;)

new to guns, need purchase recommendations

Since you'll only get one shot with each opportunity anyway, your best option is an Air Venturi Dragonfly MK 2 multi-stroke pneumatic in .22 caliber. Well within your price range, you might even work in a decent scope and a tin of 15.9 or 18.13 grain JSB pellets; the right sight and ammo for the job. No other expenses required.

Unlike inexpensive spring-piston guns, a multi-pump pneumatic won't shoot to wildly different points of impact with different holds or rests. 😬😵‍💫🤬 And unlike PCPs, you'll need no compressor or tank to USE it. 💲💲💲

15.9 grain FX, 10 pumps, 4 shots= 644 FPS/14.6 FPE
15.9 grain FX, 12 pumps, 4 shots= 664 FPS/15.6 FPE
5/13/23- Six consecutive three-shot groups at 50 yards on 11 pump strokes averaged .68” c-t-c.

By the way, you can pump it to 15 strokes if so inclined; but don't need to on crows to 35 yards. Fifty, maybe.

Once you've killed a couple (yourself), the crows will not only recognize you, but also your modus operandi; AND will communicate that to other crows that have never met you. YES, it is true; as proven in studies. So then as you go about your farming business they'll avoid you like the plague...

Correction- the bird flu.

.
I never really considered a pump gun since I had a Crosman 760 Pumpmaster about 40 years ago, haven't even looked to see what's out there. Seeing this reply you put out makes me want to take a look around at the pump guns again. Thanks

The O rings should be easy to get hold of, check the sealing face of the nylon insert it may need re machining if badly groved also the brass side of the sealing piston is quite chunky, I re machined mine to be a bit sharper, not quite knife edge but closer than the original profile so it seals better.

newbie needing purchase help

You wanting to do $300 total, scope and all or just $300 for a rifle? If you want something PCP style, you will need to allow money for a means to fill the gun with air. A spring fired gun may have to be pretty potent to take down a crow. The more powerful a spring gun gets, the harder it is to cock and shoot.
My 392 would do it within 30 yards and I was shooting crow mags at a measly 680fos at the muzzle. It did it till the marauder was released.

To the op, Pcp compressors are as cheap as 175 on Amazon now and hand pumps (a real workout) are as cheap as 60 dollars. If you have a paintball shop around or a sporting goods store that fills paintball cylinders you have other ways too. I wouldn't have it any other way than pcp rifles for crows and squirrels these days. Like all things it's budget and personal preference.

If you do decide to get a pcp rifle to hunt with, I have to leave you with this funny and painfully true meme. Welcome to the rabbit hole.

8/26 hunt

Didnt get to woods until 7:45 walked out at 10:04, killed my 1st 2 fox squirrels less then 5 minutes after I got out of truck, had 3 in same tree missed the 3rd one. Proceeded to miss 3 more in less then 15 minutes so should of had a limit in 20 minutes. Ended up killing 2 more and couldnt find one that fell in thick stuff, know he was dead cause his head sounded like a cracked walnut when pellet hit it plus he fell out dead tail straight in the air and limp as a rag doll. Looked for 25 minutes but couldnt find him, even made a point to watch where he fell because it was thick, hate losing one that way. Killed another young fox squirrel and missed a couple more. One things for sure my offhand shooting seems to get worse for every year I get older and a unstable knee doesn't hep much. Same Crown MK1 .30 as last time. I did go another morning and killed 2 but didnt feel like messing with pics.

Benjamin  Tuning and making parts for antiques

Now that’s funny , I don’t care who you are . That’s funny.
Looking for cobra valve came right back here to agn. A cobra air spring looks neat, and I may explore it. It's well within my means and I have boat loads of acetyl laying around from when I was making aea valves (till I tired of the majority of the aea crowd). Maybe I end up making a valve. It will give me something to do.

New guy!

Hi all. Introducing myself and whittling down that 10 post min.

I'm just getting into air guns and found this site - lots of info here. As a kid I always had multi pumps - Crosman 760 if memory serves me. Back in those days the Benjamin 392 was the dream gun! As an adult I've toyed with springers but nothing "serious". Couple of Stoegers, a Gamo, and of course I bought that coveted 392.

I'm learning a ton just reading and look forward to the PCP world.
welcome!

'Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink'

Very very few people race cars and yet the people who make the cars spend millions getting their names and product on the race track. Why because we want what wins even if it is a diluted version. Same goes for archery. Very few people shoot competition compared to all the rest of the archers and bow hunters yet the factories strive for the best bows for 3D and formal targets. Same reason. Archers buy what is winning competitions.
It is part of the human condition to want what the cool kids are using

Events  PSA - Long Range FT - Sept. 6, 2025 - Palmyra, PA

Palmyra Sportsmen's Association (near Hershey, PA) - Long Range Field Target - Saturday, September 6, 2025

Long Range Field Target is a field target game using higher powered airguns than other FT games. Guns cannot exceed 80fpe at the muzzle, and we recommend using at least 28fpe gun to knock down longer range targets. Common calibers in use are .22, .25, and .30 caliber.

This event will follow a shotgun start format. Registration and sight in is 8:45am - 9:45am, followed by a shooter's meeting at 9:50am, and first shots down range at 10:00am. Cost is $15.

Targets will be placed between 15 and 115 yards. This is a 42 shot match, 7 lanes, 3 targets per lane, 2 shots per target. Targets will be a mixture of kill zone style targets and knockdown silhouette targets. Distances to the targets will be provided. One lane will be a standing lane.

This match is held on our covered Competition Range, and will be shot rain or shine. The range has a concrete pad, so this is friendly to shooters with low mobility.
