Other  New guy looking for recommendations

I have a hand disability, what's the trigger like on that and potential lowest weight?
Don’t know the V3 trigger but the U2 trigger - after adjustment - is very light. I’d imagine that Derrick can set the trigger up for exactly to your liking.

Edit: I should probably say that the u2 trigger can be adjusted very light, but does not have to if you don’t want to.

Xtra $$$$$$$$$$$$ an the fellow shooter is supposed to be ready to do that for you
I'm talking about the fellow shooter, LOL.

For example it'd be nice if target N always had one color, M always had another color, and F always had it's color. Glance down, grab correct spool and string color, and no need to trace the string down to the target to see which string goes to what target.

Let's discuss the Xtra $ because I'd like to help out.

Airgun Technologies  30 Cal Uragan 2 or 3

After getting the U2 30 I was so impressed with the out of box performance that I bought a U2 25 within one week. Unfortunately 2 days before the arrival of the 25 the 30 blew its cork. Not sure what it is so it went back. Checked the valve and replaced the breech o-ring. Might be the regulator. I’m not disillusioned, things happen. In the meantime I’m happy plinking away withe the 25. I’m going to call AVS to get slug recommendations. Not spending altaros money and I might try Zam’s once I know the optimum diameter. Considering selling my fx’s and AEA’s Getting a little tired of tuning and tuning and tuning. So far the u2’s shoot almost anything from Jsb and Aea from very well to pellet on pellet @ 50 yrds. I’m also going to keep my 2 25cal Hubens.
It’s time to cull the heard as they say.
It's likely your U2 .30 blew the o-ring that sits on the shoulder of the poppet part of the valve. It's a VERY common issue with the U2s. The latest poppets don't break any longer but the o-rings still break. You have to disassemble the rifle about 50% to get he valve out on the U2 (U3 made access to the valve with no disassembly).

I've tested about every popular weight and brand of slugs in my U2 .25 700. The best shooting slug is the AVS 44gr, dish base in .2513" diameter. Second best is AVS 44gr, dish base in .2530" diameter.

My reg. is set at 155-bar. Hammer is 3-turns OUT from flush with back of block. I have the carbon stock and the spring adjuster plug has room inside the stock for several turns of outward adjustment.

Velocity in Spring/Summer temps is about 950fps. I was getting about 935fps in Winter temps.

Slightly better than average 5-shot group at 50yds with the AVS .2513" from my U2 .25.

Elevated targets on Field Target course

Lol no. From what I could tell, they had used a really long piece of maybe 1/2" wide webbing and thrown it over a limb as high as they could and then hoisted it up and tied off the webbing. Kinda seems like they had another piece of webbing tied to one corner of the bell target and they tied that off going the other direction, to minimize rotation and swinging around.

This was a bell target built on a wooden frame.

Hybrid slugs 44.5 gr

A lot of us seemed to have that first shot low problem with the first and second gen Impact's. It is from a couple of minor issues, including reg creep and stiction of the o-rings from sitting. Aside from cleaning, polishing, and lubing the reg components, I found that polishing the valve pins and bores, and the applying ptfe lube instead of clear silicone helped tremendously.

Kalibrgun  Cricket Carbine Tuning Fun

I recently had to tear into my 2017 Taipan. Orings also looked like they had triangular cross sections. Gun was still shooting as incredible as the day I bought it. It’s so nice that there are guns that can shoot great when internally they are on their last leg. If I didn’t have a Taipan, I’d definitely have a Cricket.

Advice needed on caliber selection

I shoot the unleaded pellets in all calibers. 100 yards ain't gonna happen in .177 or .22. Maybe in .25, and only then if your gun happens to like one of the two offerings, Baracuda Green or GTO. One is currently 15 cents a pellet and the other 20 cents.
Why do you need to reach 100 yards to punch paper? If you're dead set on unleaded ammo, shoot within the distance the pellets are still accurate, say 30-40 yards for .177. The pellets are so light you'll get plenty of drop and wind drift to play with. .177 has the most variety of pellets and is the cheapest caliber; three to four cents per pellet is possible. Cheaper yet, shoot BBs at 5-10 yards; you can buy a new cool BB gun for what you'll save on each set of "buy three get one free" tins of unleaded ammo.

Stoeger  Stoeger scout and ranger good or pass?

I shoot from my left shoulder but I am right handed. The stock capacity magazines for my 3 P35s do not stick into my face at all. I have a larger Carm magazine for my 25 (it's all they offer for the 25) and I cannot stand it. I am quite sensitive to this issue but it is not a problem at all for the P35/Stoeger Bullshark. It's a great gun for left shoulder shooters. But I work the safety with my right hand. It is small and in the trigger guard. It is quiet, however. I keep my trigger finger out of the trigger guard until ready to fire so I click off the safety early as I am shouldering the gun before I have the target in the scope. But it isn't safe to do this unless you have the habit of staying away from the trigger.

Parallax Wheel Interference Issue

I recently purchased a very nice TX200 MkIII with a Sightron S-TAC 4-20x50 scope from a fellow AGN member. The rifle works flawlessly and is very accurate. The only issue is the scope isn’t level with the rifle. This would be an easy fix if it weren’t for the parallax wheel. When level, the wheel interferes with the gun’s stock. I‘m primarily a small game hunter but I was hoping to give Field Target a try in the Spring, so accuracy matters.

I’m hoping people with more experience could layout some options. Here are the ones I can think of:
1) Buy a smaller wheel. The one that came with the sale has a 5” diameter. I think a 4” wheel would do the trick.
2) Carve a chunk out of the stock to provide clearance to the wheel. This is NOT an option for me. This rifle is way to nice to do that.
3) Do they make parallax knob extenders? I figure moving the wheel out 1/4” would do the trick.
4) Rotate the scope out-of-level to avoid the interference.
5) Other…Is there a simple fix to this situation that I’m just not seeing?View attachment 541410
Try Eric Sanders of scope works. I suspect he can make a wheel with proper offset.

FX  FX DRS and slugs

All standard superior FX liners in .25cal can and will shoot up to 34 grain slugs. It has been proven on here by myself and many many more, and also goes along with what FX states about their standard superior liner.
Will the 500mm barrel still shoot hybrid slugs well? I know the liner will just wondering about the length. Really considering getting one of the drs tactical compacts.

First time back in the shop. Setback trigger …Tommy/ Longbow design

I can hook you up when things get warmer. I know you have Lewis old Timahawk. ..
Sweet!
There's a couple other things I'd like to have done to it too! And I know you're the man for the job. Wanna bring it back to its former glory or beyond.

N/A  Huma Air Belleville washers?

I recently got the Huma air 1197 inline regulator, I am somewhat confused how to adjust the settings, I red that by changing the spring stack you can change from low-medium-high. But you have to take it apart, remove the c spring and change the springs? I also red by turning the screw with the flat slot you can change the pressure without taking it apart? Could someone sent the link of the youtube video?

RAW Rapid  22cal RAW Efficiency

Pardon my ignorance, but can you explain what these are?
SSG is a "Spring Stopping Guide" which is for most a self made anti-hammer bounce devise ;)
TM hammer is the Older style hammer from TM-1000's that are lighter than the supplied HMX-1000 hammers used with the newer rifles ;)

ok maybe you can back off the power wheel a turn so the hammer spring will have less preload but if it were me id figure out how to adjust the regulator someone on this forum knows all about that v3 regulator you got
I agree hopefully some one with more knowledge will chime in on the v3
