Yup ,it’s a Timahawk and has baffles in there. .. Tim Mc Murray wasn’t he importer of those guns. they Shoot around 775 to 800 with Ftt
This was Tim’s last one in .177. I was in his shop getting a R7 and saw it hanging on the wall. Needless to say, i walked out of his shop with two rifles with scopes installed.

FWB  Scopes on 10 meter rifles

As much as I enjoy shooting iron sights I recently put a scope on my FWB 300 S. Originally I thought I’d just try it for a little while then put the original diopter sight back on. But I’ve learned that it’s a lot more fun to be able to hit tiny targets that I couldn’t even see before with the stock sights. I even moved back to 46 feet, the max I have in my basement. Where I live it’s the only place I have to shoot without going to the club. Makes this wonderfully accurate rifle much more versatile to me. View attachment 542030
I had the same experience with an HW75 SSP pistol. The scope has been on it to this day, over fifteen years. I guess I'll need another one if I want to shoot open sights. 😁

The state of trying to buy a new SSP air pistol.

… I've missed the relaxing simplicity of SSP's. I've owned several over the years …
Well said. I‘ve had the 717 and 747, both could out shoot me and I only have one currently, a nice boxed 777 that I don’t shoot much. I have a V10 and like it a lot but drool every time I see a FAS. Maybe one day.

Have had this Walther LP3 for a bit and finally got around to resealing it. 355-360fps with JSB 7.87. Time to go relax for a bit.

Snowpeak  M60B leak

Yes, it shoots fine with it, but you lose air when filling and with the .30 every cu in counts especially when you can’t completely fill the bottle
Agreed, even more critical losing air with a .35. The $37 I paid Wes for the updated collar was well worth it. Even if not ideal, I'm glad you have a functioning airgun to enjoy until Wes gets everything figured out. Found a second life for those parts, too. Win-Win. WM

Breaking in the twins.

if anyone is interested in making

TXEDM041 Auto Stop. You would need to buy these 2 items from Tuxing.

https://www.tuxingcn.com/Electric-control-box-p2194164.html (Control box) and a manometer you can set pressure

If anyone is interested, I’ll try to post pics and answer questions if needed
With a control box you can also add a over temp cutoff. Great for if your pump takes a dump while filling

Umarex  Notos Poppet Valve Replacement

Hi, please send us a message with your order # and we'll take care of you. We discovered that we got a batch of stem that's 0.04mm too big on one end. Unfortunately a few valves with the bad stem got out...
Actually just did! Just ordered a single shot tray for my WFTF rifle.

Feel sick and happy at the same time?

But when a heavy, long for caliber, boat tailed pellet gets around 950 to 970 feet per second, YESSS! I am giddy. And things just die. Cans are cut in half. A bell rings at long range....... YAHOO MOUNTAIN DEW ! ¡ ! That feels so good! As much fun as you can have with clothes on. Be well Brothers, dito.

FX  Basic airgun do’s n dont’s?

The difference in reg pressures could be due to different barrel lengths? It will take more reg pressure to push a projectile the same speed from a shorter barrel.

Also - most FX are rated for either 230 bar or 250 bar. You don't want to go above those max fills as it will be harder on other parts of the airgun (ie: o-rings, seals, etc) and may exceed working pressures for some parts.

I don't see it mentioned but the one thing I see missing from the discussion are specifics on what projectiles and at what speeds. Do you have a chronograph? Most pellets do best out of most airguns at around 880 fps. Some like a little slower, some of the newer JTS and AEA pellets like a little faster, but 880fps is basically the ballpark.

Once you know where you want to tune the gun (ie: 880 fps) you take your ammo and start shooting over your chronograph to see what speed you are at. You will need to likely perform a combination of tuning the regulator setting and the hammer spring to find you're ideal tune.

Here are the details for a basic 5% reduced max tune (my words - don't think there's really a name for it):
  1. Find your current max speed.
    1. Shoot over the chrono and record speed.
    2. Increase hammer spring and record speed.
    3. Continue to increase hammer spring until you max out your speed. Don't keep going once you hit max as there is no benefit.
    4. See where you max fps is. Your goal is to tune to 880 / 0.95 = 926 fps (will explain below)
  2. If your max speed is above 926 you need to reduce your regulator a bit and start the process over. If your max speed is below 926 you need to increase regulator pressure and start the process again.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 above until you have a nice tune maxing out at 926 fps.
  4. Now reduce the fps by 5% to 880 fps.
Your rifle is now tuned just before the knee of the power band at the regulated pressure. The reason you want to drop back 5% is that at max power your efficiency has dropped a bit and you are just blowing a bit of extra air out of the barrel. Dropping back 5% will give you a tighter ES (extreme spread of fps across a string of shots) and max shot count for that power setting.

A chronograph is important for the tuning you want to do.

If you search there are threads here which detail the process outlined above with much more explanation.

FX  Fx Drs 700 .22 low pressure

Ok, thank you all for your help, my problem has been resolved, the law in Portugal does not allow PCP weapons to have more than 24 jules at the exit of the barrel, hence their low velocity.
so this is something I need to do when I try to figure out how to help someone, although I have no idea what laws are in various countries, I had no idea that you were in Portugal, I need to remember how to view the members location because the rules are definitely different in different countries.. I'm trying to remember but is it correct to click on the name of the members post area to see where they are?
glad you got it resolved, I need to learn more I guess about getting around the site..

FX barrel tensioner

I’m getting no or very little left or right POI shift with my .25 DRS Tactical between 50-70yds, maybe it’s indexed correctly. I’ll probably pick up a cf sleeve just to see if I can squeeze a little extra accuracy of it, but from watching Viking Airgunner, the 600mm sleeve will be a little short, I think he added 3 orings to correct the length on his DRS. That’s why I was thinking of getting a longer one and cutting it to the correct length, with a tiny gap on both ends. Sorry for my confusion on tensioning vs stiffening.
Let us know how it turns out if you decide to try it (y)

The Karma Red Panda: A New Era in Airgun Precision

The Karma Red Panda: A New Era in Airgun Precision

The all-new Karma Red Panda Precision Airgun System is engineered from the ground up to deliver superior precision across multiple shooting disciplines. In 2023, Thayne Simmons, shooting for Team Saber Tactical, showcased the air rifle’s capabilities with three first-place finishes using a prototype. Check out our quick highlight reel and also PJ's deep dive into what the 2025 version of the Karma Red Panda is all about:

The 2024 benchrest competition season further solidified its reputation, with over a dozen finalists competing with the original Red Panda, multiple podium finishes, and Thayne setting the all-time professional air rifle benchrest world record score of 240 with 8 Xs. Karma Airguns is proud to announce that the current version shipping to shooters incorporates extensive engineering enhancements to make the Karma Red Panda a breakthrough in precision airgunning through a single precision focused airgun platform.

View attachment 541731Dual-Purpose Competition Performance: Precision Marksmanship Challenge & NRL22

Beyond benchrest supremacy, the Karma Red Panda Precision Airgun is now optimized for Precision Marksmanship Challenge and NRL22 positional style shooting competitions, making it a true dual-purpose airgun platform. A major breakthrough in its versatility lies in the newly engineered barrel system, which features an optimized profile and proprietary rifling designed to accommodate both pellets and slugs with exceptional precision. This barrel technology enhances ballistic efficiency, ensuring superior accuracy across various shooting disciplines.

In addition to the upgraded barrel system, the Red Panda features a more compact overall height profile. The redesigned front rail and plenum have been vertically condensed by nearly an inch compared to the previous model, significantly improving handling and balance in dynamic shooting positions. These enhancements make the Red Panda an ideal choice for shooters who demand precision across both long-range benchrest competitions and fast-paced positional shooting formats.

Revolutionary Plenum and Airflow Design

The newest version of the Karma Red Panda has been re-engineered with a groundbreaking approach to isolating the plenum air source from the barrel, further refining its precision and consistency. This redesign integrates a twin-tube plenum and high-pressure air source into the front rail system, eliminating any potential air pressure fluctuation effects on barrel harmonics. By creating a direct and uninterrupted airflow path to the 360-degree radial transfer port, this system ensures maximum efficiency and consistency in every shot. Additionally, the Red Panda now boasts one of the largest onboard air plenums in the industry, delivering a massive 200cc of regulated air volume.

Precision Karma Airguns Bull Barrel System

One of the key advancements in this air rifle is its precision supergrade bull barrel system. This advanced barrel incorporates a 360-degree radial transfer port, delivering the highest level of consistent, clean airflow in the industry. To maximize barrel rigidity and provide predictable barrel harmonics, the barrel-to-action connection is secured with six high-tensile-strength bolts, creating one of the most rock-solid mounting systems available.

View attachment 541732Cutting-Edge Barrel Rifling Technology

The proprietary Karma Airguns barrel rifling manufacturing process undergoes an intensive multi-step approach, utilizing a precision measuring technique that checks for zero variances in bore and land diameter along the entire barrel length. This ensures absolute uniformity and peak ballistic performance. This approach to a one-of-a-kind rifling manufacturing process limits the amount of rifling marks imprinted onto pellets or slugs, resulting in a higher ballistic coefficient for every projectile. The increased ballistic coefficient translates to less wind deflection and improved downrange energy retention, ultimately leading to higher scores in competition. Every barrel is subjected to rigorous testing before shipping—if it does not meet the highest precision standards, it is rejected outright.

Consistent and Adjustable Shot Performance

Combined with dual stainless steel externally adjustable regulators, the result is outstanding shot-to-shot consistency and stability. Further enhancing predictability is the two-stage adjustable match trigger, offering a light pull weight that can be fine-tuned for precision shooting.

Enhanced Adjustability for Competitive Shooters

The Red Panda includes a variety of adjustable features tailored for competitive shooters, such as a tool-free externally adjustable transfer port and an externally adjustable hammer spring for customized tuning. Additionally, the stock features an adjustable cheekpiece and shoulder pad, allowing shooters to achieve optimal eye alignment and a comfortable length of pull for peak performance.

Optimized Optics and Accessory Mounting

For enhanced accuracy at long distances, the top Picatinny rail is built with a 30 MOA cant and includes a rear bubble level to ensure repeatable precision. The front rail system also incorporates long M-LOK accessory rails, allowing shooters to attach shooting weights, bipods, and other essential accessories.

Air Capacity for Extended Performance

The rifle’s aluminum air cylinders boast an impressive 700cc capacity and fill to 310 BAR (approximately 4,500 PSI), providing ample power for competition use. The modularity of the air capacity can be modified to remove a rear air cylinder for a lightweighter configuration. With a proven track record in the highest levels of competition and cutting-edge engineering for superior accuracy with both slugs and pellets, the Red Panda Precision Airgun stands as the ultimate choice for serious benchrest competitors.

Good evening, I'm getting back to you to find out where you are with your quality control and deliveries of Karma Red Panda in Europe because, to this day, many people are asking me if things have changed since my video on the quality of Red Panda sold by Krale from China. My answer is currently still the same: the Karma made in China sold in Europe is a disaster. Having had no news or response from your resellers, I still strongly advise against purchasing this brand. I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,

FX  Panthera Hunter Compact .22 tune

I can't seem to find a tune. I've watched Ted's Holdover video and matched his tune but fps isn't very consistent for me and his slug tune didn't work for my PHC. I am shooting at about 905 fps most of the time. 7 of 10 shots is near 905 fps +/- 1-2 fps with 3-4 shots that either falls short ~890fps or high of ~924 fps. Reg now sits at about 147 bar. Just looking for the next steps... I am shooting .22 JSB 18.13gr. I want it to be at least 900 fps. POI shifts at 890fps and at the higher 924 fps.

Forgot to mention, I've tested and turn down the reg to 110 bar, but then I would need to bring the hammer tension up which makes it a lot louder. I don't really like the loudness so I returned it to back to it was before. Maybe I just didn't find the tune for that reg pressure?
