FX  Regulator screw Impact M4

I've managed to round off the regulator screw on my gun.

It's hard to believe FX made this adjustment screw out of brass. Hardened hex keys don't treat brass kindly!

I've been using a ball nosed hex screw driver to adjust it. I have to avoid the trigger when adjusting so the driver is always at an angle. This appears to be a recipe for disaster even though the popular tuning videos show it being done that way.

Top-Gun Airguns is sending me a replacement but I'm not looking forward to removing the trigger mechanism to get to it.

Has anyone replaced one of these... any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Is your avatar AI generated? I clicked on it to get a better look and it's fascinating!

I created a short video the other day, my first AI video, to honor the "first internet meme." A dancing baby in a cube. The original was a computer generated (I believe Flash) movie, and just a baby dancing on a black screen. The good old days... 🤣

I made it a GIF. (Soft G. Not like the Peanut Butter...) I am pretty sure this doesn't violate the rules, and it'll work (If you click it) ...

I am not sure, some of the members here created it for me while they were attacking. lol
So I took the idea and ran with it.
I practice wildlife photography. Many years.

Dreamline amp reg o-ring

I appreciate the information.. I ordered them and installed both.. now no reg creep and no more leaking... They don't measure 5x3x1... Outside is 4mm.. I don't know where those numbers came from.. either way, they're in there and working.. now onto my impact to find the leak... Thanks again

Other  O rings/seals

Well, those are some great suggestions but if country of origin is important to you, McMaster Carr gets the metric 70 durometer o'rings from Thailand.

Just do a search for USA made o-rings for the USA manufacturers.

If you want "better quality" o-rings, get fresh ones. Formulas and compositions are very close to identical to each other, no need to shop big stores, they may have old -rings sitting on the shelf.

I have found AliExpress to provide fresh and good quality o-rings, others may not have but I'll continue to order from them until I find they don't.
If we were worried about country of origin we wouldn't be buying so many air guns. Just a thought.

HW/Weihrauch  DELETE

You are very welcome. I appreciate any and all opportunities to obsess over old springers! :p

I would add that both have been around for a loooooong time - the 35 born in the mid 1950's; the 30 the early 60's. Both have seen a ridiculous number of changes and variations - for example, this French brochure from the 70's shows the 35 available with five different stocks (standard, thumbhole, Monte Carlo beech, Monte Carlo walnut, and Export):

Think I need the Thumbhole stock version. 😎

Finally made a swaging die that doesn't stink...very much

Excellent work! I don’t think most realize how difficult it can be to make a swage die set that actually works. I have made several and I am still learning.

What do you use to machine yours?

Dave
I have a cnc mill. When you have a hammer everything looks like a nail...same thing applies with a cnc mill. Everything seems like a cnc mill project :ROFLMAO:

Airforce  Talon P

Hi Chief55, I have both the .22 cal and the .25 cal barrels for my Escape UL, but it mostly wears the .25 cal during hunting season and is my goto woods walker. If you want to try some slugs in the Escape UL, mine likes the 33gn Apolo slugs which you can get from Field Supply. Odly enough, I use the same combo of pellets and slugs for the .22 cal barrel as well (Cuda 21 gn pellets and Apolo 21gn slugs).

Like you, I have owned several Condors, and a Seneca carbine when I tried to convinve myself that I "needed" a repeater. (The Seneca is a nice airgun) But alas, I too hvae reached that age that the 5.5 lb with scope Escape UL is the perfect small to midsize game getter. Mine wears a Donny FL Tanto and in .22 cal , I can make it backyard friendly. At 60 ft lbs in .25 cal, not so much so. I also own an AEA .30 cal air rifle, but it is just too heavy for anything but lugging out to a stand and waiting on something to walk by... not my preferred style of woods walking. Like you, if I had to only have one airgun (heaven forbid that) it would be the Escape UL.

Once you get enough posts to use the PM function here, there are options to be found in the Classifieds. Right now, there is a Hatsan Flash, scope, moderator, and hand pump in the classifieds for $200 shipped. I'm not a huge Hatsan fan, but for $200, that leaves a lot of $$ left over for pellets. That Hatsan will take any of the critters you listed above.

Hand pumping it will be a pain, but if used for the occasional pest, shouldnt be an issue.

Welcome to the forum and the rabbit hole.
As the guy with the Flash (THANKS), it is a very good starter and the pumping is a workout.

You can text me at nine two five seven zero eight six five zero four if you are interested.

I don't shoot the Flash anymore but it holds air, has an adequate scope and a moderator to quiet things down. It starts pretty quiet and the Belita is enough to make it very backyard friendly. I can send it full of air.
