I hear you. As you said, they are good for newbies, but I never really look at them myself. As a normal thread, the ones that keep rising to the top as obviously "hot". I was wondering if it was just me.while sticky threads do sit at the top and gather first light,,, I don't get much from them,,,
Interesting. I didn't know such a person could exist. So, I am hijacking my own thread, but what DOES peek your interest? Shooting tips, hunting, ??I have zero interest in yet another post about blowing something up.
It was the biggest I could find without rewiring my garage for a true 3 phase panel. Still a 3 phase lathe but with a built in converter.Gotcha. Reminds me, I need a larger gun smithing lathe!
Looking good. I look forward to seeing the results of your project.
Will doFrom my experience, the hammer pin may be loose/warn. The hammer pin is rather soft and when cycling the hammer with a heavy hammer spring (and the disco spring is heavy) the pin will slightly deform causing problems with cocking the bolt back. I would say switch just the pin out and see if that helps. If it does, buy a hardened hammer pin or a lighter spring. Hope this helps.
Thank youIf you know the dimensions of the spring, you can use a spring calculator to compute the strength.
Here is a link to one of many found online
Hope this helps
