Crosman  Crosman Trapmaster 1100 Valve Stem

Thanks marflow, I have studied that post and all of the links pretty hard! Lol Great information. Huge help in the disassembly process.
It was an all out war with the piercing cap. Once I got it done, I figured I had it whipped. Then the valve stem situation popped up! Haha
Thanks again for the information. J

Barrels and slugs

Even heavy pellets are not recommended for a break barrel. Slugs seem to be even more extreme than that.

From a performance point of view I would expect poor results also. Even medium-high power pellet PCPs usually shoot slugs poorly. The really accurate slug guns seem to be operating at the top end of PCP outputs.
Thank you, I thought I would try slugs for better pest control. Perhaps a flat nose pellet around 8 gr. would work better. Accurate shots will help too .

Hatsan  Hatsen Flash QE .22 accuracy issues

Coming back here to answer this issue.

After a bunch of testing, I found exactly one pellet that shoots great. The H&N Baracuda Match 21.14 grain. I wouldn't call it fantastic accuracy but black birds and rodents are dead out to 35-40 yards easily. No changes made to the gun, just tried a bunch of different pellets. Any other pellet I've tried shoots like a scatter gun.

FWB  Piston rings and piston buffers?

On spring piston airguns like FWB150-300S that has both a metal piston ring AND a piston seal, does the metal ring act as automotive compression piston rings, and the piston seal just provide "buffering" to prevent the piston from slamming into the compression chamber face?
Also, on airguns without the metal ring like Weihrauch R7, HW55, R9, etc, the piston seal must do both the compression and the buffering?
It seems that with a metal compression ring the gun will still work even without a good condition piston seal "buffer"?
Or maybe the piston ring is just acting as a "button" to keep the piston properly centered in the receiver bore???
On the FWB's, the metal piston ring fits the cylinder wall very snugly and is the air seal, not just a centering device. The piston bumper does not help compress air. (The ring is sized so that it springs out to tightly fit the chamber walls. So it's basically impossible to wear it out, but as C-i-O noted, over time wear increases the tiny gap where its ends meet, thus reducing velocity due to air leakage.)

Although the resilient plastic (or leather) seal in a typical springer does provide a degree of cushioning at the very end of the piston's travel, most of the piston-braking effect comes from the highly compressed air trapped between the piston and pellet (this is why it's so important NOT to "dry-fire" an un-loaded action). Much of this air is trapped in the transfer port - which brings us back to the FWB's.

An overlooked but ingenious feature of these guns is the tapered breech end of the barrel, which reduces the transfer port to near zero length. Removing the "lost volume" of a TP port helps get maximum power from minimum-strength mainsprings; and keeps the recoil-control "sledge" system as light and simple as possible. But the TP's piston-braking effect is mostly lost, and thus the bumper on the front of the piston is very important.

YOKE RIFLE REST

That's a real nice y-yoke! I use a cheapie one I got from amazon that I have on a tripod for ratting purposes with my Notos. That one looks solid! Have a really old Bogen/Manfrotto aluminum tripod that is HEAVY, I now have a smaller lighter carbon fiber one also from amazon with the y-yoke. Back in the day there were only a few tripod manufacturers now there are a plethora to choose from.

Field Target is an arms race.

I think when people first look at field target they get the impression it is expensive. But when you compare a good field target rifle to a kayak or bicycle it’s not that bad. I don’t think most people expect to compete at the top level. They just want to try and see how they do.
Then they get into it and start spending big money. But even then most people never even dream of buying a 2500 dollar scope. Have you priced electric bicycles? Any hobby can be expensive. But top level competition is not a hobby. Spend all the money on coaching guns and practice. Top level performance demands that.

N/A  Dual Options Big and Little

Fair enough, looking at more deer size critters medium size 150lb nothing trophy size, small mostly things of the down to a few squirrel and a rabbit or two, pest control things in the chicken coop, plinking would be just something to occupy a bit of time on the rare day off.
We have a Texan .357 Carbine with a Donny FL Emmeror V3.
Its the quietest big bore I ever heard. Pushes 150 grains at a high of 870 fps.
Shoot deer in the brain the go down where they stand.
I would not shot them anywhere else with a .357 unless they were in a huge feild and I could see where they expire.
.357 leaves nearly no blood trail to track.

Daystate  .25 Delta wolf ??

I think the ultra valve will be standard if the gun is new.
Anyone looking to buy one should be careful of this. There must be a lot of new old stock around. Even this year, new ones are still being sold without the ultra valve in the US. I would have thought that they would all have it this long after they supposedly started making them standard, but not so. AOA told me that if it doesn’t say Ultra Valve, then it doesn’t have it.

New World Record in format 3-Shot at 927 yards

Thanks. As for the camera at the target, as I wrote once before. I'm transporting the target by drone, so I wouldn't have a way to transport the camera on site. The video shows everything necessary, if I wanted a better picture I would use my super zoom Nikon P1000 or leave the drone closer to the target. Currently I have also started using a rifle scope with a magnification of 35 and there the image is even clearer.
If someone still doesn't believe in reality after the dozens of videos I've shared, I'm in no mood to convince them otherwise, I'm giving anyone from the USA the opportunity to come and see this shooting with their own eyes.
I think that your feat is phenomenal, sad but true, there always be haters.
