FX  Sabre TRS rail, Impact M4, how tall rings for EO Titan 5-25x56?

Im thinking about buying the rail, and wondering how tall rings I would need.. So I dont have the rail.
Then it is still easy to use @Troy Bakel idea. That rail is a flat top no drop… so you can just measure on a table. I use a stack of paper instead of coins, but anything that is small and can lift the scope works.

My flattop rails, for 34mm and 56mm bell with caps, I use 1.375” at least.

Help Dating Benjamin Sheridan EB CO2 pistol

I need some help dating Benjamin Sheridan EB / E9 series CO2 pistol. The serial numbers on my pistol are 120269. So here's what doesnt make sense to me. The book Know your Sheridan by Ronald E. Elbe page 105 says the first Model E pistol was produced Nov. 1977 SN 204220. But on page 102 the SN on my gun dates it at 1975. So if the first one wasnt produced until 1977 how can I have one with a SN that dates it at 1975?

Results  Ultimate Field Target at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club 01/25/2025

I've been contemplating running my 20fpe .20 for the full 72-shot course. I think it'd be fun. I might have to pick an exceptionally low wind day for it.
LOL, don't be afraid I did it (unsuccessfully) with a .177. I must say, had I had my dope more accurate, I feel I could have shot 40. The 85 yd mark is where the .177 pellet becomes very unpredictable. I chose to sacrifice the four extra-long 99 yd shots. LOL, as it turns out, I missed many of the close ones. Most of the 65-84 yd targets I got. I had the tune 945-955 FPS 16.20 jsb, a slug-like pellet. The .20 caliber might be just a tiny better, which might be that last 20 yards.

Umarex  Lost power after mod

Yes, that sounds about right. If you think of the regulator as a door and the pressure inside the tank as a force holding the door closed, the more force being used to hold the door closed will require a stronger hit from the hammer to open it. Very crude example but it works
Yep, then you have to consider dwell time. I think that is where port size comes into play. That pressure has to get through and into the barrel. Like I said.. I'm new to this and trying to absorb it all.

This spreadsheet is probably the best tuning tool you'll find.

Crosman  Crosman 362 with Steel Breech?

Yes, some people sale small washers that go under the tiny 4-48 breech bolt. You can find them in the classified or on ebay. Never used them as I bought aftermarket high strength bolts and turn them to fit the breech. No fear of stripping them. If you use the rear mounted breech bolt you need to use a notched hammer like the 2240.

Regulator issues

Leaving it in your truck is a bad plan especially if it's sitting in the sun getting extremely hot or even on the flip side extra cold will mess with a PCP of any kind. And FX regs are known to creep and you usually have to take a couple dry fire shots to get back to the set point. You can polish it up and make it better but not perfect!

Diana  K98 .22cal. Springer

I wish more rifles had this handy military sling setup. It would make hauling heavy springers around in the field so much easier, especially when the rifle lays on its side against your back keeping it from banging the scope on everything around you.
Practical. It doesn’t matter what product it is. German engineers are on top of the pile. Crow
That is a VERY cool air rifle! Pretty much an instant collectible too.
Thanks, I think so too. I don’t think this gun sold very well for some reason. Fun to shoot. Crow

HW/Weihrauch  The R8 stays.

Better built, more beefy. I would choose the modern 50 over it if I had to pick. But the R8 has the looks and nostalgia.
I agree. The modern 50 IMO is a better handling rifle. It's lighter and shorter which makes it quick pointing and easier to manipulate. It also has more power potential. I think a soft tuned 50 would be a fantastic plinker. Perhaps nicer than my maxed out 30s?

I've always said the 50 is the one I'd choose if I could only have one. I have the most fun with my 30s but the 50 is more versatile. My intention with the R8 was to blend the two into my ultimate plinker. The size of a 50 and easy cocking of the 30s. It still may happen but I think a soft tuned 50 would have done me just fine.

FX  fx pantera leak

My King is on the way back from UA. They had it 2 weeks. It was also leaking from the valve cap/holder. It was a small leak, and I had to take the pic rail section off to see it. I was going to fix it myself but after speaking with UA and them telling me it would be a free warranty repair I decided to send it in.

UA was great. Filled out the paperwork and shipped it to them.

I have been using dollar store kids bubbles since covid. I was working from home and didn't have any leak detect. So, I started using my kids' bubbles. They work great.

Stoeger  Messing with my Bullshark

Sorry I just read your post again and don’t think I answered your exact question.
The Bullshark reg is definitely adjustable much like any standard internal adjustable Huma reg would be. So 170-175 isn’t an issue to obtain. Buuuuut don’t go adjusting it without building or buying a test gauge. The Shark obviously does not have an on board reg gauge like the Scout or Ranger.
I appreciate you circling back, thanks man! Without a test gauge, (presuming default is it 150) would you know how many turns of the screw will get you to 160, 170, 175?

📈 End-of-Year Balance: How much $$ did you spend in 2024❓

Rolls Royce... —
yeah, that sounds like me. NOT! 😆
Mostly cars the age of my son at graduation (and I don't mean highschool grad).

Delooper, you certainly have more financial wisdom than I have shown since I entered this AG rabbit hole.
Maybe you should give me a little workshop on how to keep my money in my pocket/ account — instead of splurging it on AG stuff.

I haven't been terribly wise. But when I got into guns (again -- I had a 12-year stint out of country where I sold all my stuff) I basically had an agenda. I was buying for pesting, hunting and potential civil disorder. So I had a list of what to acquire. I got those things, and I was done. It took me about 3 years to acquire everything as my credit card would have fried to a crisp if I bought everything in one month.

When I started buying, it was around the beginning of the COVID lockdowns. So here in Canada, almost nothing was available. Then came the Trudeau restrictions on what kinds of things you could buy, so there was even more panic buying, etc. My first purchase was the wrong rifle for me, but I was just trying to acquire something approximating what I wanted, as there was almost nothing on the shelves. It took around a 1.5 year backorder to get what I was looking for.

On airguns there was some trial-and error, too. At first I got some 1322's. Even though they're pretty light little pumpers, they sit in a weird legal pocket in Canada. The slightest modifications of them can turn them into PROHIBITED WEAPONS, i.e. categorized basically like a fully-automatic rifle or anti-aircraft gun. The criminal penalties can be severe. So I acquired the Leshiy 2 -- far more powerful and versatile, but strangely not in such a weird legal situation. The reasons are all dumb and technical, stemming from our lawmakers not really knowing anything about firearms.

Gun wrap ideas 💡

Just go on amazon and find a pattern you like and buy a roll. You will pay more for a "kit" and end up wasting a bunch due to our stocks being different shapes. I have done a few of my rifles as well as a few of my RC airplanes. They hold up really well, and are a breeze to remove if needed. There are a TON of patterns you can buy. Just prep the surface very good and take your time applying the vinyl and you will be ok. Most will have a shrinking ability so a little heat will remove most bubbles and wrinkles.
