Hatsan  tearing down your gun for the first time

Who am I to dampen you excitement eh? 🙂

There's nothing like the pucker-factor of disassembling something expensive and hearing: spriong, ping, tick, tick, tick and having no idea of what got launched. 😁

As long as we have fun - right!

Cheers!
🤣🤣🤣 That is so true. I love it. I do love to make life harder for myself it seems.

Thanks and no dampening here. I truly appreciate your taking the time to respond and give out good advice. I do limit my destructive tendencies to projects that I am fairly confident of successfully completing. I'll learn my lesson one of these days and you'll see me on here begging for someone to help me out of a situation that I put myself into. 😭 Hopefully it never comes to that.

Thanks again, airgunutty

Helix 2-16x50 vs. Other Helixes

You're most welcome. The mag and parallax where smooth. On the end of the parallax turret there is another twist knob to turn on and select brightness of the illuminated Reticle. That knob became stiff over time. The replacement scope i received is butter smooth.
That is good to hear. Enjoy the scope, and I may join you down the road a bit. Thanks again, Bd. S7

“LEFTY” wildcat MKIII

This is why I purchased a BRK Ghost. FX hates left-handed shooters. I vote with my funds to vendors who cater to all shooters.
I at least I got to shoot my friends FX impact M4 before I purchased. And it didn’t bother me one bit. Plus, I knew there was aftermarket support for left-handed conversion. But it hasn’t bothered me one bit.so I went for it. Probably because I felt safe knowing I could shoot it and making such a big Airgun purchase for the first time. Thanks so muck for the replies.

MOA Acrylic circle Group quick measuring tool

In case anyone is interested, I found a place that sells them. I placed an order but it said I have to "Pay at store"... not sure how that's going to work but I'll give them a call.

Unofficial AGN Monthly Shooting Challenge - April 2025

Here is the bragging rights list for this month:
View attachment 559399

@Kgphotos and @TheAirgunnero tied this month by both shooting 26 points using a 0.177 at 25 yards. Also, @Charles Shanaberger gets the "honorable mention" by shooting an awesome 16 points at 50 yards. Congratulations shooters!!! Thanks for participating!!!
Thanks for the mention! Appreciate it.

I don't even go here!

PICTURES of tanks are essential to get best advice. In your operational steps you forgot CLOSE TANK VALVE before "open high side bleed valve". You might want to have a one way check valve on your tank fill adapter to keep any air in tank from escaping. That way you COULD open bleed valve when desired pressure is reached. If you don't have a check valve, close TANK valve, bleed line air quickly so hose doesn't get over pressurized (another advantage of check valve on tank). I've used Husky full synthetic non detergent oil (HP compressor oil)with great results for years. Never fill OVER top of red dot on indicator. Seco lube & Royale Purple Synfilm 100 are others that can be used. Again, Pictures of the tanks & regs you described would be more useful than a verbal description. There is a ton of YH compressor do's & don'ts in the "archives" here by Biohazardman that are invaluable. Check it out.

N/A  Airgun Newb (Sort Of). Lots of Questions-Part2

To recap, I'm not completely a newb, but I am pretty inexperienced. I have a Benjamin Maurader and have a compressor as well as a cascade system at the fire dept.

I am really interested in a full-auto PCP rifle. I have two problems with the full-auto PCP rifles I've looked at. First, they're hella expensive, and second, the ammo capacity sucks.

I've seen co² bb guns that are full-auto, and they look great for what I want, after all, accuracy isn't very high up on the list for this gun. And with the amount of ammo I'd be going through, the cheap bbs would be awesome. (I'm picturing the full auto bb guns from the fair). My issue is, I'd rather not have to mess with co². So, can we convert a co² rifle to PCP? Also, does anyone know anyone that does that, and what are the drawbacks?

I've seen refillable air cartridges on Temu and other sites and even thought about converting other co² pistols to air, but wondered about the viablility.

Thanks for reading, any advice is appreciated.

Look into the Air Ordnance SMG 22. No longer made but fun. Some come up on Ebay for high prices, but give them a low bid and you might get lucky.

N/A  Airgun Newb (Sort-of). Lots of Questions-Part1

I have had the Hatsan Velox for quite some time now and probably shot over 2,000 rounds thru it. It just recently quit cycling properly because the rod that opens the bolt probe had broken a while ago and finally wore enough that it would bind. That being said, it is a lot of fun. I emailed a parts request to Hatsan for a new linkage and received it within a week. Got a spare right away too. So about $17 later we are up and running as good as new. I have an older Hatsan gun as well and I think the machining quality is better on the newer Velox. Maybe they are stepping up their game a little. I would buy the Velox again but you would be best off waiting for a sale like I did. I purchased my from Pyramyd Air for around $340. Don’t expect great accuracy and you won’t be disappointed. I use it for 15 yard plinking at steel targets and it works well.

Compressor Purchase Help

I'm with you. After having the hengs I like the little Shoebox knockoffs more from Amazon. They're disposable cheap and I keep one as a backup to my big tuxing 4 cylinder. I rebuilt 2 of my hengs several times(never seals or read valves) and was just done with it for the amount of oil and water condensate they put out. After busted crank cases, a ruined rod and stage 1 piston, i gave up on them.
FR this is Airgun Nation...not Compressor Nation

I don't mind the act of tanking air, but having another thing about the garage that needs fixing wasn't part of the plan when I bought the compressor.
