I came very close to purchasing one last year but when I went back to check if Dennis had any still available and he had .452 pistols listed and even though I did want the shot pistol I succumbed to the .452.
Anyway, might you have any chrony information (shot, slug, other) you could share on yours? For my intended purpose (rattlers in the flower beds against the house) the shot pistol is really the choice I should have made but for one I cant just grab waiting a minute or two the .177's all do fine.
Also how does that light/laser combo work for you?
Thank you,
John
Indeed. If it’s simply an electronic trigger (vs electronic hammer in the Daystate), why would you need a screen?
The Daystate controls the hammer via electronic voltage and dwell, a simple electronic trigger would have a mechanical hammer and would use hammer spring adjustment instead.
From what I read, that’s probably how it is.
Agree that the EaZy fill is expensive for what it is, but it is robust. I'd love to pick up a few of the knockoffs as they are so much cheaper, but the relaibility reports are poor on them, so take that into account - many have said they did not even work for one use.I'm onto that EaZy Fill but will be looking for a much cheaper version. It actually seems to be something DIYable. A high pressure check valve with 2 fosters? Seems simple.
Cannon? What is the twist rate of the Snowpeak m60B cannon? CAL.22
That same scenario has almost happened to me as well. Once I caught my almost mistake, I used a paint pen and labeled mine on the cover as well as the back of them (my FX Mags)My worst nightmare I guess you could call it happened years ago. Had been waiting for weeks for an opportunity to take a critter out. When I finally looked outside and it was there I loaded a mag and proceeded to miss it at 20 yards many many times. Walked the gun over to the range window and couldn’t even hit my 30 yard target with the rest of the mag. And I was clicking like a madman chasing shots. I just sat there staring at my pride and joy at the time thinking WTF is wrong with it. I stood up and headed to the gun room to tear it down. Got it set up and removed the mag. As I was about halfway through taking the barrel off I noticed the mag laying there was a .22 mag. The gun I was shooting was a .25. Just sat there shaking my head.
Thanks a lot for this feedback. I am trying to find something that will fulfill my desire for the np02 and this Tormenta just might be the ticket! The Tormenta is really good for my use. I have not changed anything on the rifle (a first for me). I am sure that the Tormenta has room to improve, but I am not looking for that last 5% of perfection. The rifle is accurate and reasonably efficient. I get 4 magazines from a full load of air for .25 cal. This is a squirrel smashing gun that is easy to handle in my pickup truck and from the back of my ATV/UTV. The bipod is used more are a hand hold than as a ground stabilizer.
NOTE: Gen1 Gen2 and Gen3 Kral magazines DO NOT FIT the Tormenta, but I suspect the Crosman/Kral magazines may fit.
I am running a .25 Tatsu from Donny FL - not whisper quiet, but very reasonable.
My hobbies still live in the mental childhood zone where they started - 50 cents a week allowance, mowing yards for 2 bucks, etc. The elegance and economy of a self-contained powerplant - needing only the actual projectile added - still dominates my tiny brain...There's no contest to piss. Its apples and orange's. All have different strengths and uses. For me personally and others with my property situation, PCPs offer nothing but needless great expense and perpetual maintenance. Couldn't give me one of those things.
I don't have any issues with the optic otherwise that is the only reason I haven't returned it for a refund. I was really wanting to hear audio from my hunts and yeah it sucks it doesn't have the features they advertise are present.I suppose adding an on board mic is too cumbersome for the setup? I have been considering a Wraith, but recording features are useless to me. Yeah, you should get what is described. Disappointing indeed.
