Indeed can see AIR PRESSURE doing that .... otherwise no load is on the mag mechanically.

I was playing with many scopes in recent years and I had to mount all of those just to figure which would be a keeper.
Tried many ideas from all over the web, and came up with (or invented) my own process .... combining things. And a lot of 3d printed tools, fixtures...

And btw, if I would need to start bitchin about best and recommended scope rings and bubbles - this thread would never end.

From now on I am using only rings that are not horizontal split and I started liking in single piece mounts.

The Daystate controls the hammer via electronic voltage and dwell, a simple electronic trigger would have a mechanical hammer and would use hammer spring adjustment instead.

@Pfddi , If your eyes have deterioted like mine, and the focus you are talking about is the objective and not ocular, that can make the recorded pics look a bit worse than they can be. I've tried taking pics through my friend hensholdt with the voodoo in front, but it is a lost cause. I'd need a good camera, no phones and nothing short of 1500 body and primary lense camera, adjust the scope to be perfect, then mount the clip on and focus it for perfection. Taking a pic with everything focused for my eyes using a phone is pointless, the pics are horrible. I never bothered to save even one. And taking images with the clip on is pointless as it only saves what it sees, not what you see through the optical scope in back. It is fun shooting his 338 lapua at 1500 yards with him spotting and calling out the dope. first round hits with the thermal mounted are regular on the steel silhouettes even at that range. Of course if he wasn't calling out the dope looking through his spotting scope it would take me several shots to get there. He has at least 35k invested in that setup, rich people sure do have nice toys, just glad I get to play with them once in a while.

Agree that the EaZy fill is expensive for what it is, but it is robust. I'd love to pick up a few of the knockoffs as they are so much cheaper, but the relaibility reports are poor on them, so take that into account - many have said they did not even work for one use.

As for making your own, the issue is that you need a vent between the two foster fittings with the check valve. Adding that vent on a DIY one unfortunately adds a lot of volume that will be vented (although less than would be vented from the regulated valve). That venting function is where the EaZy fill (and the knock offs) shine since they are integral and don't add volume . . .

That same scenario has almost happened to me as well. Once I caught my almost mistake, I used a paint pen and labeled mine on the cover as well as the back of them (my FX Mags)

Depends on how long your allen key is. The hammer has to be cocked on the hunstman because that is where the grub screw access hole is. Hammer at rest and there is no hole for the grub screw.

My Bantam Sniper was sweetly accurate right out of the box. Many, many kills and great groups at 25, 40, and 50 yards… Many pigeon kills out to 104 yards. My Pathfinder, which is but a Bantam Sniper in a collapsible folding stock has proven as accurate. Heck “all five BRKs”, still own four, shoot better than I can hold…

I was a bit bored and tried a 12.5 grain Nielsen slug from my P35-177. It was going about 875 fps at the muzzle and the beer was at 30 yards. The longer split is on the entry side. Much less damage than the 21 grain H&N slug did. I had my pellet trap a yard to the side and about a yard closer to me and the beer still got it.

Been doing some pellet testing and H&N Baracuda 8‘s work fantastic

my gun will shoot high when shooting stuff on the ground at 20 yards... but I use this but my gun is 900fps .22 so my curve is more aggressive https://www.crosman.com/airgun-ballistics/

My hobbies still live in the mental childhood zone where they started - 50 cents a week allowance, mowing yards for 2 bucks, etc. The elegance and economy of a self-contained powerplant - needing only the actual projectile added - still dominates my tiny brain...

Our Indoor Field Target event is a great way to get introduced to field target, have fun, or practice for the upcoming outdoor season. Even if you do not intend to shoot and just want to learn more about the air gun field target game, consider stopping by to observe and ask questions.

Targets are placed at ranges between 10 yards and 22 yards, and will be set to an AAFTA legal difficulty for standing position shots. If you are an experienced FT shooter, we encourage you to shoot the entire course standing. You are not required to shoot the standing position, there are no position restrictions for this event, shoot whatever positions you feel comfortable. The course is 5 lanes with two targets per lane, 2 shots per target. Although targets are set using rifle difficulty, you can shoot with pistol.

Since the targets are not placed at long distances, this event provides an opportunity to use guns more suited to shorter distances. You may consider shooting a multi-pump pellet gun (no BBs), pistols, or guns that shoot at lower energy levels than required for the outdoor game.

Guns must not exceed 20 fpe (foot-pounds of energy) at the muzzle.

This event is held in our clubhouse on our indoor rifle range. We will be open for sign-ups between 9AM and 1PM. Cost is $5 per round, you can re-enter as many times as time allows.

I don't have any issues with the optic otherwise that is the only reason I haven't returned it for a refund. I was really wanting to hear audio from my hunts and yeah it sucks it doesn't have the features they advertise are present.

Just picked up two more cans of the Crosman hollwpoint 22 14 gr 500 count, 6.95 $ each.... My walmart normily only carries the 177 ,,

There's a .22 FX Bobcat 1 in classifieds for a cheap price. Yes, it's an older, discontinued line but if it's ANYTHING like mine (laser accurate) you can hardly go wrong. My 1st time out hunting with it & 1st kill was a 102 yard squirrel headshot. Made me a fan & a believer in .22.
