Huben  Huben K1 - Highly Under Rated Gun?

I'm really not bashing it. To be honest I wish I had one. Fascinating guns! I'm just glad there are people pointing out what potential buyers NEED to be aware of before getting into one.
Exactly this 👆

I’ve not heard one person bash the gun. I didn’t bash the gun, Gerry52 didn’t bash the gun, in fact we both said it was cool. It’s just not for everyone.

I think pointing out the facts of the gun the way you see them is exactly what we should be doing. I linked Matt’s video because he is widely respected in the airgun world.

And to get back to the original point of the post, it was about if the gun is underrated, which is subjective, but it certainly doesn’t seem underrated.

Very cool technology, very innovative, I’d have no interest in purchasing one of these but if you have one and love it, that’s great. I don’t really see a need or benefit of having this, but it’s cool 😆

I’ve got an Impact M3 and there’s certainly people here who don’t like FX and wouldn’t consider the Impact an overrated gun, but I love mine. No need to get upset because someone doesn’t agree with you or like what you like. Thank god we have so many options on the market for everyone to be happy.

AEA  Aea airguns

Hi all,
I contacted the pellet shop about my broken cocking mechanism in my aea
megalodon. what I received back was probably some of the most professional
treatment that I’ve ever gotten from a gun shop and gunsmith they were able to help me with the disassembly and help get my parts coming to me. Definitely an outstanding Shop!

FX  Grouping @100 yards

how good are your groups at 50 yards? your tune and form need to be able to produce 50 yard groups under 1/2” or under 1” at 100 is not going to happen on purpose.
Any wind and especially a variable one at 100 yards will wreak havoc on your goal even with slugs.
your goal is admirable, but it is much harder than most people think to make it happen.
I agree. Focus on getting a really tight group at 50 yards, and then go out to 100. 50 is a good distance to get your fundamentals down because at 50 there are a lot more variables to consider, so its harder to tell how much is your error vs the environment.

So far I have had the most luck with Patriot Javelin, but I plan on seeing how well NSA slugs work once the weather gets warmer.

Karma  My First Semi-Automatic Airgun Hunting Adventure with the Karma SLS

Is it just me or does nobody seem to care about the SLS in general? I've barely come across (recent) videos or discussions about it. Heck, I can't even find a single video on YouTube of someone showcasing the .30 or 9mm version, despite the fact that those have been out for weeks now. All you'll find are 3-4 month old reviews of the .22 and .25 from the usual airgun channels.

There are dozens of videos for practically every AEA/BinTac model. Not just reviews, but also casual people messing around with them.

rusty screws replacement?

If you are using stainless fasteners in steel or aluminum use this stuff. It's the cats meow for anti seize/anti galling. It prevents stains and funkyness around fasteners in dissimilar metals and allows perfect torquing.

I heat the screws a bit and butter them up with this stuff. It's dandy. Like a flaky wax. You can find it on the internet.

N/A  Help me decide my next PCP

Thanks for sharing these, I checked Kuben K1 and it's looking like a pretty solid option!
However I forgot to mention that I prefer a carbine build instead of bullup.

Also the Karma SLS Compact you mentioned fits perfectly my needs, however as I mentioned above it shares the same core with AEA SF Compact, which is known to have reliability issues as mentioned by other users here.

Eventually I will probably go for Karma SLS Compact if no other options fit these specs.
While it may share the AEA core, it has DonnyFL behind it, so support will be quite good. I also would imagine that the deficiencies like the poppet have been directly addressed

Back when we had cool/dangerous toys

When I opened the box my dad wouldn’t let me try it until he did. We went to the hardware store and got Freon. He said stand back just in case she blows. He wanted to send it back immediately because it was made of plastic. Nothing was plastic with airguns back then.
When I received mine I had been anticipating the BB firing equivalent of an M60 machinegun, so when I opened the box it came in and saw how lightweight and cheap it was I was pretty disappointed. It would spray BB's like a hose until it iced up though and my parents didn't have any objections to it. I believe the clamshell yoke that held the freon can eventually cracked and that was the end of it. There have been some much better BB machineguns made since then, most of which are still available today, so this is one instance where I don't feel any nostalgia for the good old days.

shortening the barrel on a choked break barrel and accuracy

Not hard to cut a barrel off. Just go slow and you will be fine.

If the quality of the barrel is good then there is no reason why it shouldn't shoot without a choke in it. If you are that worried about it, then you could always cut from the breech end and not touch the choke.

How do you challenge you?

I use a 10 Meter Air Rifle competition target (AR 5/10) indoors at 20 yards.

I use a 0.177 approved plug and score "Best Edge" × "Worst Edge".

If the shot lands dead center on the dot, the plug will not touch the 9 ring and is scored 10×10 for 100 points.

If the plug covers the 10 dot and touches the 9 ring, the hit is scored 10×9 for 90 points.

If the plug breaks the 9 ring and is still touching the 10 dot, the hit is scored 10×8 for 80 points, if the plug is not touching the 10 dot the hit is scored 9×8 for 72 points.

Using the normal Best Edge scoring, my scores made me think I was one stud of a Marksman, but using Best Edge×Worst Edge proved that wrong.

Caldwell G2 Won't Connect to Bluetooth

Admittedly I haven't used this Caldwell G2 in a while, but I can't get it to connect to my android Note9 (old phone, used with this chrono previously) or S20+ (newer phone never paired before). I've been through all the settings and permissions that I could find. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Panthera magazine holder

I shoot Nrl22/prs matches and keep 2 spare magazines in a small pouch designed for medical gloves on my belt. Air Marksman and Utah Airguns also sell magazine pouches. There’s an Utah Airguns video on YouTube and they have a spare magazine holder mou on the rear of the rifle.
He said this was custom made
