FX  Panthera Butt Stock Dovetail?

Well, in our Czech Republic, Air-G-tac.com manufactures a complete new stock for FX Panthera Dynamic where it is possible to screw either a monopod directly into the bottom of the bag rider or a picantiny rail for attaching a small tripod or other accessories. I have already ordered two pieces of this stock myself. They should be in stock during February according to the reply they sent me. Of course there will be a modified skeletonized version already.
If you are interested check the attached link.

FX  Crown broke down

Okay, the fix according to Utah Airguns is as follows: 1. remove the tank 2. Degas the gun turning reg screw counter clockwise 3. Above the breach in the pic rail is a screw, remove it. 4. Stick a small allen wrench down the hole to contact the stuck pellet. 5 push the pellet downward into the air port far enough for the barrel to freely be removed. 6. Turn the gun upside down which should result in the pellet just falling out.
Sounds like a good approach
Please let us all know how it turns out

Brocock/BRK  Grand Prix .177

Excellent score, John! (y)

For what(ever) it's worth, below are my testing notes of a couple GPs I owned when they were somewhat available in the U.S. I was impressed with both (calibers).

.177 Brocock Grand Prix single-shot PCP

7.9gr JSB Express, 200 BAR charge, 18 shots- Low= 762, High= 776, ES= 14, SD= 4, Average= 768 FPS / 10.3 FPE

pastedGraphic.png

.22 Brocock Grand Prix single-shot pre-charged pneumatic

14.3gr JSB Express, 2800 PSI, 32 shot powerband- 547 / 576 / 29 / 3 / 564 / 10.1

Simple design + good materials + solid construction = the right equation for a nice PCP pistol.

12/11/09 Five consecutive five-shot groups at 50 yards averaged 1” c-t-c (best = .66”).

Shot 41/42 at the December Yegua FT match; unfortunately the winner shot a perfect 42!
Ouch!

Also FWIW, the friend that beat me in that match did so right after I'd adjusted the trigger on his FX Ranchero to a very impressive, match-grade let-off. That, after having monkeyed (a LOT🥵) with my Grand Prix trigger trying to achieve a lighter break. Although plenty crisp, I couldn't get it quite as light as I'd like for FT competition 😕; which is to say "almost telepathic".

Last FWIW (for now), noticing the 2009 date in the testing above, that was shortly after I founded Pistol Field Target competition. Both he and I went on to become multiple State and National FT champions in Pistol Field Target. Guess that one-point loss is what I get for helping my toughest competitor adjust his trigger! 😂

Here's a photo of Mike... probably taken when he realized he beat me-

Not sure why every time I see that photo I think of the adage"No Good deed goes unpunished." 😲

Other  AirForce Knockoff First Look + Other Pinty Guns

Well, after my Bullpup debacle and 5 months of my time wasted. I am sending the Pullpup back to Pinty for a full refund. I am disappointed about this whole situation because I was very happy with the feel of rifle and was looking forward to pesting with it. I use my P-Carbine almost every day.
I was afraid shooting the P-Pup would ruin my rifleman status, but I'm happy to say it didn't impress me much. Definitely factory quiet, but love the rifle far better. Still need to find longer screws to finish fixing rail issues for my brother.

Air Venturi  Avenge- x classic

After trying several different moderators the one that gave me the best results was the Hugget Snipe. Is the first one from left to right shown in the pic. The others in the same order are the 3D printed Buck-Rail, the DonnyFL Sumo and DonnyFL FX. In this thread you should find all the info you’re looking for… 👍😊https://www.airgunnation.com/thread...s-the-best-moderator-for-this-airgun.1301128/

I bought the Donny FL Yokozuna in .30 cal at their recommendation - expensive and a bit heavy but has been very quiet even pushing 70 FP rounds out of the Avenge-X .25 cal - they recommended that you go up one caliber if the barrel is already moderated and the unit won't mount directly to the barrel - has seemed to be good advise so far -

Events  FT match February 8th Tulsa Gun Club

It is a long drive for a 1-day trip, but I only had to avoid a few drunk drivers when leaving my house in DFW@ 2:30am, and then I got to eat at Hideaway Pizza for lunch before heading back home. Hideaway is my favorite.
Mmmmm… Paradise Pie is the best. Stuffed mushrooms are delish…. Next time you’re up, Hideaway is my treat.

Better weather?

I don’t know about you guys , but I have my suspicions. Our weather is so different from when I was a kid. No where near the same. And not for the good. Crow
Agree, I am pushing 80 and grew up in N Louisiana. I remember waiting for school bus and having to wear heavy coats. My birthday is Halloween and I remember going out trick or treating and there would be ice on water puddles, no longer that, it's more shorts and t shirt weather for that now.

Brocock/BRK  BRK Atomic XR

I was on AOA site a earlier this evening and wanted to look at the Atomic XR.
I saw the Pathfinder but no Atomic.
Too late to call and ask, but has the Atomic XR been discontinued?
I am wanting a gun in that size and power range and by all postings here the Atomic was the best available.
If you have any suggestions for a different gun I would appreciate it.
L.Leon, I a hoping to hear from you
The Atomic is a great barn or general pesting gun. I used one for a while, exclusively for hunting pigeons inside barns at a large industrial dairy. They are built very well and are accurate.

I have since sold it and am now using an AGT Vixen 22 that Tony detuned for me to shoot at 562. It’s an absolute laser and I am getting 140 shots per fill out of the tiny bottle and it’s extremely quiet with stock moderator. Check out Airgun Retirees on YouTube to see it in action.
