Snowpeak  PP700 transfer port

The transfer port is in the part that you swing open to load the pellet.. it's the hole that lines up with the barrel... I don't know what yours looks like but mine has a hole in the top of that block with a screw in it that you screw in or out, blocking or unlocking the (transfer port) hole to regulate how much air is allowed to pass through it..

WOW how simple is that ! , i want to do the opposite as in Less FPS
/FPE

Question for everyone.

This coming from a guy like you has a lot of weight, Frank.

You must be talking about the Heras in the
4-20x50 SFP (1") variety.....

Because the 6-24x56 in either FFP or SFP is a beast: 32.3oz (916gr).

I can see that the Heras offers a lot, at a lower price then the Helos 4-20x50 FFP.

Heras: 2.6oz (73g) lighter
Helos: 30moa more elevation adjustment (100moa)
Helos: Ilumination yes
Heras SFP vs. Holos FFP, with gridded reticle
Same length

The Heras comes with all the other good stuff that all scopes should have, but so many don't:
▪Available in both MIL and MOA
▪Reticle and turrets speak the same language (mil/mil or moa/moa)
▪Turret zero stop
▪Turret revolution counter
▪Locking (windage) turret
▪Turret 10mil or 25moa per revolution
▪SFP reticle calibrated at the maximum magnification (instead of 10x like so many)
▪Reticle center dot

I probably should start buying these and bringing these to Peru — this is A LOT of scope for LITTLE money.
Maybe THE BARGAIN out there right now!

Thanks, Frank. 👍🏼

Matthias
Just added a 2-12x to my collection. Not currently on any gun but it will be on something come hunting season. I don’t need the weight of illumination because I can see the reticle until it’s no longer legal to hunt. They also agree with my Pards. Very clear.

STO Brevitas II mini review

See what STO has to say about the Brevitas:

"This design was intended to function on the end of an already shrouded gun and to blend in to the shroud profile for a unmoderated look and feel. Without effective reflex volume, this design simply lacks the internal volume to produce optimal results. In terms of report, this design is obviously not whisper quiet, and was never meant to be."

From:

500$ startup

OK folks u got 500$ put together a pcp starter set gun ,compressor, ammo and sight can u do it .and can it be decent?
I can do it close
Niksan Ozark-TW $385 (donnyfl.com)
Vevor compressor $112 (AliExpress)
CVLife 3-9x40 scope $30 (Amazon or AliExpress)

Ozark is a fine rifle, good power, adjustable transfer port and accurate to at least 50 yards. Nice wood stock and synthetic butt .

Vevor is okay, slow and probably last a year.

Cvlife makes adequate scopes

Perfect Yong Heng Cart

Good idea! Figuring external water source is best level with YH and items to be filled should be above everything, I'd put water bucket and YH on lowest shelf, fastening coalescing and molecular sieve filters on post towards filling platform on top. Maybe fasten a light plywood cover on top, folded blanket with securing straps or bungee cord. WM

FX  FX Leopard

I've been trying to like what FX is laying down here and... Nope. Can't do it. The DRS classic is at least presentable. And I don't mind a tactical rifle layout, per se. But these bullpups (not just from FX, but across all of the top tier manufacturers) really are revolting.
I see so many missed opportunities to produce a more thoughtful, graceful product. This does not inspire me to part with my money.

EDgun  Never follow

Any idea what that mount is called? I think it may be the solution I’ve been looking for.
It's from Vector Optics called the "Vector Optics Rum Cantilever Picatinny Riser Mount voor Vector Optics Paragon Prisma, Maverick en Scrapper Serie 21mm" Due to availability I had to order it from Aliexpress.

Taipan  25 Caliber Taipan Vet 2 Standard

Well , yeah. The vet 2 tactical with a 700mm barrel can push the 34g pellet real fast. I added just a heavy hammer spring and I'm pushing 38g slugs at 970 for 80 Foot pounds which would equate to 34g going 1025 FPS. but pellets tumble at those velocities. I just recommended starting at 840-880 fps with 34g pellets. But you have to see the accuracy, now Taipan, with the CZ barrels seem to have no problem zinging pellets in the 9-950 FPS and still maintain accuracy, but tuning is critical. I personally have never seen a taipan vet suck at shooting pellets at a fairly wide range of speeds.
The pellets I want to use initially are JSB Hades and they come in at 26 grains so need to turn the spring down a bit

Umarex  Umarex MarkPoint Review ($35 Break Barrel Air Pistol) Can it be any good?

have one completely redid the trigger
would i buy one again NO the sights make the pistol worthless but i am still working on mine
here is a long thread i was on
https://airgunwarriors.com/community/airgun-talk/umarez-markpoint/

if the trigger had the leverage at the bottom of the sear it could be better
taking the pin out of the grips safety was the easiest way to solve that nonsense
read the thread i spent a lot of time with in opened up

diablos vs hollow points for rats

I have been using predator hollow points for years to eliminate rats using an old .177 discovery. I recently picked up a couple of tins of rifle premium series 8.33 grn .177 Diablo style pellets. Color me impressed! I am still getting 930fps and they are accurate out of my disco out to 20 yards, I am getting about a .45" group at 20 yards. Not world-class but devastating on rats. The profile on these is much closer to a flat point than other "round nose" pellets I have used and they wack the critters with authority, generally not exiting on the far side with body shots. I need to get a few pictures but at a lower cost, and better accuracy, I think I have found my new favorite pest removal pellet. What are your experiences with round nose vs hollowpoint on pests?
Rifle premium series 8.33 grn do have a distinctive sound when hitting paper never did use them on a critter though just didn't find them accurate enough in my guns I think it was random fliers that put me off but I do remember the sound.

JTS 21.53 semi-domes are my new favorite hunting pellet I get excellent accuracy and they hit hard. Wish JTS had a .177 semi-dome .
