"the particular air rifle you are selling I'd better that anything else out there that is up for grabs" could you please "translate" this part of your sentence for me? I only speak English  :ROFLMAO:🤪

That had me for a moment too - substitute "...IS better THAN anything else..." to get the intended sarcasm.
I am a certified curmudgeon, and a major peeve of mine is having to decipher stuff that people post without proof-reading.

How to calibrate the YONG HENG 300bar auto-shut-off gauge?

I removed that one and installed 3 larger OD gauges between the compressor cylinder and the tanks. Cross checking works more reliable.
And btw when the compressor is running, I am always in close proximity just in case... never leave the compressor running alone.

Taipan  Type One Taipan's...A Testimonial.

Not to hijack the Taipan love here, but can anyone help w fitment?

My short is a nice little off-hand shooter, but the LOP is way too short for me. It's a loose fit no matter how hard I tuck... Without ruining the easthetics are there any good options for working around this issue?

The other thing that could be improved is the cheek weld that's probably just a matter of puttng down some neoprene. But it would be nice if there were other less-trailer park ways of adding to the comb

More rat kills with my Ghost, with a couple slow motion kills.

Curious if you have tried Gamo Red Fire? I have had great success using them in .177 caliber for one shot kills on Tree Rats and Asian Doves.
I haven’t tried them. The ones I’m shooting are the 18.13 gr. JSB exact jumbo heavy diabolo’s, 25.39 gr. JSB monster MRD’s, 15.89 gr. JSB Hades diabolo and the 25.39 gr. Hades monster MRD’s. All shoot great out of my Ghost.

Tuxing double cylinder compressor - air leaking into crankcase

I had to do cylinder swap, and I had too mill off about 3/8” from the cylinder in order for it to fit into crank case. It was too fat to go into crank case without milling. You can see one base is thicker than the other one. Maybe they sent me wrong cylinder, but I made it work. It actual pumps a little faster with new head

HW/Weihrauch  What gun did you wish you’d have kept?

Not impossible. I have a British Tomahawk in .22. Beech stock and I do wish it was walnut. Had it for 25 years, or so. Hasn't been shot much. Most of my springers are pretty tame, but the Tommy is a big hammer with fairly good manners.
Should you ever want to sell her, I'll be here waiting patiently. My search would be over.

Events  Iowa field target fun shoot

Today was the first ever Field Target competition in Iowa!

I just want to thank everyone for coming out and for supporting the effort to bring the sport of Field Target to Iowa.

And I need to thank the West Liberty Gun Club for allowing and supping this effort. The West Liberty Gun club has really gone above and beyond with support.

Today we had a really nice fun shoot day. I hope everyone got a taste of the sport and I am looking forward to the next competition.

We had six shooters in PCP Hunter and Spring Hunter class.

Today was the first time shooting Field target for everyone and it was an informal fun shoot.

Bill Jennings had the highest score in PCP with an Avenger. And Ray Elthon was the top springer with his Diana 48

Congratulations to all the shooters today. And thank you all for coming out to shoot.

Reximex Bottle Valve vs FX bottle Valve

I figured it out. The Reximex valve has a short angled oring seat. The FX has a deeper squared seat. The FX holds the oring and the Reximex allows the oring to slide out.

No hot swapping the Reximex valve.
Hot swap the FX with just a small amount of air loss.

Now to figure out how to regulate the bottle so I can have 300 bar in the bottle and 250 bar in the gun.

The Reximex valve oring seat:

Compact scope

For the money there are clearer optics, with better glass. It's not bad, but it's not great. I would steer you towards a West Hunter 4-16x44, 3-12x44, Discovery 3-12x44, or some of the Vector scope that are compact. Vector2007.com
definitely spend $50 less on an HT series discovery or GEN2 westhunter. The vectors at that price range are SFP. I placed a post here the other day for a discovery 2-12x24FFP MPVO which is ultra clear and $189.00. That's if you want a truly compact scope. If you don't Mind SFP vector 3-12x44 or 4-16x44 Veyron is the way to go. you'll just have to get used to doing a little extra math for the holds on magnifications higher and lower than 10x ... unless you plan to dial every shot.

compact discovery 2-12x24ffp

Veyron 3-12x44 SFP

veyron 4-16x44sfp
I personally had this on my p35x. it's a good scope. There are deals and promos that can get as much as $70 knocked off, i see a 10% immediate discount on amazon already.

Discovery 4-16x44FFP HT
If you're okay with full size scope, this is a killer scope for the money. i've had 4, sold 2, still have 2

Vector Optics Continental 6-36x56 34 mm FFP

I hope you like it. I've never tried a Continental but the Sentinel and Veyron I have do not have the same quality of glass as my Athlons. The Sentinel is a lower priced scope so that is OK but my Talos 6-24 was about the same price as my Veyron 6-24 but I find the Talos to be significantly more clear. The Veyron is smaller and lighter, however, so it has other desirable attributes. But to anybody that has both, is the glass in the Continental equivalent to other scopes with good glass? I am not trying to knock Vector scopes, they have great features and mine have been totally reliable it's just the glass quality I question.
I had to quit using my current Continental 5-30 because the IQ is annoying to my eyes compared to my Helos G2's and the first one broke which they replaced. This one sits in the safe as a back up. Actually the only thing I like is the reticle.

There is one Athlon scope I came across which does about the same thing though the IQ is slightly better but the turrets are superior feeling.

The newest gens of most of the brands should be improved but it cost money to find that out. Hopefully this 6-36 is like that. I tried some other brands other than Athlon and was discouraged I had done so.

Any Airgun 200 yard bench rest shooter out there?

I'm thinking of starting a 200 yard bench rest shoot at my club range.
Diablo Rod and Gun club in Concord, CA.

Anybody interested?

Rod in San Francisco
I think it's a great idea. The reason I say this is because for years the "thing" has been pellets at 100 yards. It's time to step up the distance -- slugs (or anything you want) at 200 yards. Even a cheap Air Venturi Avenger or an Umarex Gauntlet has a fair chance these days. I won't be there, but I'm rooting for ya. Cheers.

Airgun Hats!

The US flag lends itself fine in this way ( this and the old south states flag are the only flags my friend would ever put up, he dont even have a Danish flag )

The +800 year old Danish flag, well you cant do much with a white cross on a red background no matter how creative and good fantasy you have.

Air Venturi  Power plenum

If you have the original avenger and not he avenge x you need to move the plenum to the right side. I put the same plenum on the left side and found out it was the wrong side when the pressure gauge decided to become a projectile. The plenum can take 200 bars and below, if you have it on the wrong side 300 bars may cause a failure like mine. Interestingly enough the avenge x has the reverse set up with the plan on the left vs the right. I actually ran two external plenums, one under the gun and one on the side.

Peri and I's first day shooting in over 14 months.... Ghost .25

I have a Atlas BT10 V8 with ADM-170-S picatinny QD and it fits perfect. Not sure what QD you’re running.

If you want to shoot the JSB 33.95 MK2, reg of 140 and PW 10 should get you close to 910 fps. I never shot the 25gr, so can’t help with those. Good luck!
I shoot to relax, and vent at the same time. I shoot every other day in my little 45 ft backyard. I think shooting for me is like playing the Guitar very therapeutic. I would be wound up like a music box after a few weeks could not make it 14 months.

Has walmart stopped selling crosman 22 hp ...

Sent this email to Crosman weeks ago:
Questions / Comments
Why are the shelves empty in every Walmart store I have visited from Ohio to Florida of Crosman .22 Premier Hollow Point pellets?

They finally replied yesterday:

Thank you for contacting Crosman. With the Tariff it has put the a hold on getting product to us.

Thank you,

Exactly the response I expected. What they are selling now are most likely stock from before the tariff situation.
