Umarex  Notos pellet probe

I thought for sure some one with there machine shop would make a better pellet probe for the Notos 22??? I put some heat shrink tube on mine and it helps a lot with the pellet sliding in the barrel,,,,
Has anyone put a bevel on the barrel, Where the edges are not so sharp??? Seems like that might fix the problem of the pellet twisting ?? I will have a spare notos barrel in a week or two , I might try it .....
Everybody warned me about the Notos money pit , But its fun to work on and the big key is LEARN...Funny you buy a 2000 or well over gun and a few videos come out .
This cheap 250 dollar gun and there is 500 videos showing you how to tear it down build it up and screw it up just crazy...Lots of after market parts , Some just took the China hit.
Mike

EDgun  ❗️Used Edgun Leshiy Classics up on AoA ❗️

No clue if this is the proper place to post this, but just wanted to give people a heads up that (at the time of posting this), that there are 4 Edgun Leshiy Classics posted for sale at Airguns of Arizona. All varying prices and 3 in "Good" condition 1 in "Very Good" condition, meaning scratches/markings on them BUT do not let that deter you if you've always wanted one. Edguns, especially the Classic are built to last and nicks and dings wont stop that.

My Classic that I have recently bought off a member here, shoots like a dream and the lightest trigger on an airgun I've ever fired thus far

@triplem
You’re good. The “General discussion” forum would’ve probably been a better spot for members to see this sort of post, but either way some will be happy to see it.

Tuxing and Vevor from same factory?

There are a few items on these pumps that need special attention when servicing.
1. High pressure piston rings - cleaned and not wore out (is able to seal)
2. Both valve disks in the high-pressure assembly are clean and oriented correctly
3. The v-shaped spring on the low-pressure side (for double-cylinder models) needs to fully close in its normally rested position (mine was not)

FX  Benchrest 50m with pellets: Fx Panthera or Fx Leopard?

Opinions....

I will say this, my impact was capable of this with pellets right out of the box to 75 meters with 18gr jsb, I've spent a lot of time, effort and money to make it do this at 74 fpe with slugs, and just as much time work and money to make it shoot 1 pellet well again along with slugs.

The raw is untouched and does that good with h&n 23gr slugs I tested and mrd pellets.

I'm of the opinion that Martin has curated his own world of perfection which is why there's no diagrams or factory supplied oring lists, or externally adjustable regulators.

FX seems to be good parts (generally) and potential in a box, all externally tuneable. Which I love as a perpetual tinkerer. If that's not your bag and you're going to drop 2200 usd for a gun, I might point you towards a raw, specifically one from Martin (rapid air weapons) before an airforce gun (rapid air worx). His pricing on everything except orings seems to be really fair, and he will tune, repair or modify them how you want for a reasonable fee.

AEA  AEA Threaded fill probe and Femal Foster Fitting compatibility

If only fosters were truly standardized! Different manufacturers seem to apply different tolerances. Sometimes it's the o-ring, sometimes it's the way the fosters seal (or won't seal). I have a zip lock bag full of all kinds of fosters & o-rings for those occasions. I can always get SOMETHING to work.
Where exactly is yours leaking from? Threads? Foster fitting?

Em are some nice looking guns!

Huben  Huben GK1 Price increase seems extreme

If I thought about it before buying the package with case and moderator I wouldn’t have.
I was never going to use irons anyway. I’ll try some other mods tomorrow.
I m trying a scope now but will go to a red dot I think. Just mount to the existing rail with the picatiny inserts.

FX  I just gotta vent...

I ordered a transfer port for my DRS to convert it to 600mm. I already had the barrel housing and liner.

The first transfer port had an issue, the liner wouldn't go in at all; it was an extremely tight fit.
The second one had the opposite problem, it wouldn’t fit into the block without sanding and polishing.

It’s clear the quality control has taken a hit. Makes me wonder if they’re still manufacturing these parts in-house.
I’ve been questioning this about some of their guns. So I can see where you’re coming from with components also. When you have older guns that feel better than their new guns, plus some other clues, it’s caused me to raise an eyebrow. And stop all purchases moving forward.

New Apolo .22 18gr Slugs

Taipan  Taipan Veteran Long finding it’s legs

I picked up this Taipan Veteran long in .25 on the classifieds here about a year ago. It has an extended plenum, external dial power adjuster, and a Donny FL Koi. I found an Element Titan 5-25x56 on the classifieds a few months later and mounted it up.

I finally am getting it ready to put lead on target. Today, I ran a mag of JSB 34 grainers over the chrono to confirm speed so I can get an idea of a zero and trajectory in chair gun.

10 shots 33.95 JSB. Fps:
918
919
920
916
913
919
917
909
921
915

Averaging about 917fps for around 64fpe.
In spite of all this power, it is SO quiet. All I hear is the hammer spring.

Can’t help but be impressed by the Vet.

Results  Meeker’s 2nd N50 match

Where do you see his score 744/38 @TheAirgunnero ? I see Tim’s scores as 721/15 and 709/17 posted on the N50 website leader board. Aha, I see the score written on his certificate When I zoomed in. I’ll replace that certificate on our next match. Thanks for catching that error.

Not sure why the date is wrong on the certificates? I’ll blame it on human error.
744 and 38x‘s is another shooters score.…..human error or you can blame it on me because I wasn’t seeing correctly that day.
