FX  FX Wildcat Mk1 Resurrection

Thanks guys. O rings I think it is!
The barrel is like a mirror. I've always been pedantic about oil & storing carefully. I shoved a furry barrel cleaner soaked in Browning Legia spray before it went into hibernation, so that bit has survived intact. I'll order those O rings and spend a sunday afternoon with Ernest Rowe's video and we'll see if I can sort it. Probably end up turning it back down on the hammer spring!
My Wife said "What the **** are you doing, messing with it, now you've got it how you want it?". Inescapable logic, but I know I'll carry on until I either get to the cause of whatever problem, or ruin the gun and put it back in the cupboard!

Air Venturi  First .25 cal choices

Yeah, unfortunately slugs are going to be a gamble regardless what platform you choose. Some are better than others though, but no sure thing. One cool thing about the AvengeX is you can get barrel kits really cheap from PA. If I were you I would consider selling your current Avenger (assuming its not an X version) and buy a new AvengeX in 25Cal and you can always buy a 22Cal conversion kit if you decide you like it better.
I have an Avenger and an AvengeX, both in .22. My Avenger is a dedicated BR rifle while my X is my groundhog and plinking gun. I’m considering getting a .25 barrel for my X as I’ve found my .22 very touchy to tune and not as accurate as my Averager. (Maybe it’s just the barrel lottery.🤷🏻‍♂️) I shoot JSB 18.13’s out of both. I’m open to suggestions for hammer spring & reg for my .22X. I’ve watched Steve’s video (many times) on the X and even he mentioned that he found the .25 easier to tune.

Huma-air discount code

In my experience, If there is an active discount code from HUMA it will be made obvious on their website.
The last one I saw was an Easter 2025 discount
I did see that one but it expired just a few days ago sadly.

I’ve seen other posts where people had special codes sent to them, hoping I get lucky. Thanks!

Ataman  Ataman AP16 O-ring kit needed

Hi, I'm from Belgium and I need a O-ring set for my Ataman AP16 0.22 version...
This is a shout out to UK residents who can order it here :
The company has stated they do not ship to the EU because of changed regulations.

If someone has an altenative in the EU region, please let me know...

Beeman  Beeman qb chieft or qb 79?

I had the qb 79 and added a cheap regulator off eBay. It worked great. I also added a threaded barrel attachment that used a set screw to mount so you could add a moderator. That was also purchased on eBay. It worked great as well.

If I were in the market I'd buy the qb chief 2. It has a moderator AND is magazine fed.

Amazon has the qb 79 for a STEAL though...shhhh....

It only takes 2 people...

Tube is not dented and as can be seen 1 inch mounts are fine. That is the point of searching for things, find a good deal. I never mentioned I didn't know it was a good deal but no one else did so should I have passed it by? Offers to buy items are not allowed in this section, use the classifieds! Since my scope is NOT dented I'll include the mounts but I'll be on top of things value wise and charge many, many times more than what I paid since you've enlightened me to the value if I ever decide to sell. 🥱
Interesting if it's a true 1inch mount. I did zoom in on your pic and it doesn't look like the rings are fully seated, hard to say... but it's a rare one if that's actually true (odd ball US market produced one maybe?). 26mm for RB and their large tubes are 30mm.

I would love to see a better picture of it in those rings if possible.

FX  Varmint knockers cuál es el BC

That sounds more like a scope not tracking properly type problem…
I tried with the 30.5gr ZAN and it didn't group correctly, then I put them at 100 yards, and it hit the same impact points, I went back to 0 at 50 yards and it still hit the target, only with a bad grouping, the scope is new.

FX  Could this be my leak? (Gauge)

Hello members
I'm chasing down a leak on an FX Indy 25
It's leaking at 25B per hour
I have done
- balloon test (negative)
- Snoop solution at all external fittings and at the regulator vent hole
None have found the leak

I'm wondering if the gauge is the problem
PICTURE
NOTICE: at the 0 BAR/psi position there is a screw missing
SEE: the screw hanging out at the 60B position

Could that missing screw be causing the leak?

Thanks
Edward

LEAK LOCATED!
After not finding the leak then first time around I redid the balloon tests on the barrel and fill fitting
The difference being that this time I reaffirmed the balloon's seal by taping over the neck with vinyl electrical tape.
It took no time at all for the balloon on the barrel to start inflating.
In my limited view that means that air is passing the valve.
Either because the O ring in the seat is bad or the seal between valve & seat is poor/obstructed
If anyone has a different idea please mention it
It should be a very straightforward fix
Once the pumps is removed the valve & seat are very accessible
Just like a Royale.

Before disassembling I am going to shoot 3 or 4 mags and see if the valve obstruction (if that's what it is) clears itself

More later

Edward

Heaviest .25cal slugs?

Barrel has a twist rate of 1/19. Its an Evanix Rex FA in .25 cal. I have slugged the barrel already but have to find my notes again to tell the exact diameter.
1:19 is unlikely to adequately stabilize the 80-100gr slugs that you are looking for.

Eyepiece Camera, anyone use?

I have a TriggerCam 2.1 and its a very nice setup unless the scope has an illumination turret or if the field target wheel is too large and you can't slide it on the scope far enough. For the money I would go with an electronic scope (Zulus or similar) if they are allowed in your area.

It is bulky but I can still focus (range) properly through the prism glass, I would not hesitate to use it on a scope during a FT competition.

CST Tactical Titanium Custom Rapid ca 2010

Pulled this one out today after almost 10 years in the safe. Still holding air, and still the most amazing custom rifle I've ever held or owned. Solid titanium block receiver. Every part is custom built, down to the most incredible trigger you've ever felt on an airgun. Not sure if Chip Smith is still airgunning, but he was an artist like no other.
