Umarex  Notos M-Lok Metal Rail

I would love to see a simpler, more utilitarian replacement stock for my macavity MA2..

I love the rifle, but really don’t like the stock.

Something more similar to America air arms EVOL would be ideal with a rail along the bottom of the tube..

It would be essentially a pic rail along the bottom with a trigger gaurd and ar grip mount and then up to the ar stock mount..
I’ve worked on some stuff with Buck Rail. I will check with him to see if he is releasing a stock for it. I agree with you, the platform seems great, but the looks of it aren’t the best.

Howdy from North Texas

You might want to get AOAs opinion before you buy
Got to talk to AOA today. Got a used Daisy 888 and used Crosman 2300S bought. With the 887 we are set the heck up. Well maybe we need one more pistol 😉. Thanks for the heads up.

25 cal slugs vs. 22LR

I've got an HW99s in .22 unmolested and it is sublimely accurate and easy shoot with very little recoil compared with my Hatsan Striker in .25. The Hatsan is a totally different beast and I haven't hunted with it or done any pest control yet, but for smiles it's the one!
My 99 is almost surgical and .22 is the perfect caliber for it. It's my go to for any job that's required.

JTS 18gr vs JSB 20.83gr KO slugs

You're right about the skirts being thin, and I think that's why they work at .216, the air must be expanding the base to make contact. I'm gettting great speed, and accuracy, so I know they are spinning. My skirts, in my tins, are not damaged. This surprised me too, because I was expecting it. Lucky so far, I guess, and I hope it stays that way.

Omega 4500 Compressor or GX E5K2…

Received the Omega today, and when I tried running it for the first time I had an issue. Called AoA up and they promptly connected me with their tech who troubleshot via text with me and got me going. This is precisely why I went with AoA, and I’m glad I did. They are a class act over there.

And yes, it looks to be a re-badged GX E5K1 but with AoA backing. Worth the price given my experience already.

I ordered one in .25 in he larger model took forever to show up and came with .177-.22 end cap! Tried several emails to remedy the problem and no response. Need weeks now! Not very good customer service!

First Airgun? Or looking to slay some dragons in South Florida?

i think at this point, shooting iguanas is more of an environmental benefit for local airgun hobbyists in florida. i can’t say that i’m not envious. those are targets that can be eaten.
Are we still talking about iguanas here, orrrrr……?

Training, Fun, or Both! In stock and ready to ship.

Can be used as an affordable training tool or for plinking in the backyard. It is powered by a 12-gram CO2 cartridge to propel .177 caliber BBs up to 300 FPS. Boasting a 17-round capacity with correct ergonomics, it has a blowback action to help simulate recoil.

Checking my FX Crown POA manually

Max, hope it settles in for you. I went out this morning & popped a couple HOSPs & starlings each. Took a pigeon down ,but my cat buddy stole it before pictures! G-hogs are out also ,but too far out for airguns of mine.
Thank you. Yes, I think it will sort itself out when the weather gets warmer. Have fun shooting them pests! I am gearing up for the Spring shooting as well.

Tripod

I have used Siriu and then Artcise, they're good quality and inexpensive. I then switched to Leofoto... Even better quality and many great designs for shooters. I'd get a Leofoto. They have something for every budget, are absolutely rock solid, function smoothly and intuitively, are lightweight, durable and beautiful. They often go on sale for huge discounts.

If you decide to go this route, you can also use this code for a 15% discount.

I use the LS223 with extra large, pivoting feet for tabletop stuff, the LM403c when I have to carry it around or the inverted S0-362c for plain old ease of use and repeatable settings. I also prefer the MH60 inverted ball head most of the time. The ones I use are admittedly a little pricey but there is something for every budget. You will not be disappointed! Check them out!

Have a good one!
Stoti

Shown is the SO-362 and MH-60 inverted ballhead. It's not then best picture but at lease shows the inverted design of both the tripod and ballhead.

N/A  Vintage FWB 150/300 vs Modern FWB

Wow thanks guys I really appreciate it. Yes I agree my
HW 55T will always be my favorite since I grew up with one similar to it. My father has a 600 but we never used it bc it was so big and heavy. I’m glad I asked bc the 150 and 300 aren’t much smaller or lighter. I’ve shot the fwb sport but it was loud and recoil was more then I’d like.
I have had the 300s for over 40 years and recently got a 602. Both are heavy but the 602 seems much heavier and is much harder to cock. I just got a forearm riser that fits the rail on either so if I want to use on my benchrest set up, it will fit and slide in the owl ear bag on my tripod which being older I had gotten for more narrow sporter rifles. I also have a palm rest so I can hold the rifle in an offhand position, with my left elbow propped on my left hip and the palm rest will reach down to my hand, making for a more steady hold. It has been so windy for the last ten days or so, that I have not had much chance to shoot.

N/A  PCP Air Usage

Thammer,

Thanks! That rear stock is an Ace/dDoublestar that I’ve had on different builds for years. The length is perfect for me. I can’t handle the rattling around on the M4 type adjustable stocks. The two I have are both screwed down tight where I need them. I made the rear bag rider.

The rest is a PQP lite model. Kind of almost cheating because the gun is sitting in an artillery cradle. The rimfire rifle has a 0.75 ounce trigger so I get things all lined up and then wait for right condition to touch off the shot. No other part of me is on the rifle But my trigger finger. You’d think that every shot would then be an X but noooooo!…..not that easy.

I really like the Saber Tactical stock. To me, the AV tactical stock with the tube looks clunky and the ST really streamlines the look.

I’ll post the results of the range time tomorrow. Should be essentially as close to a windless day as you can get.

Tony
