RTI  My personal RTI Mora experience

I really love RTI Airguns, I have three and will never sell them. Even when I read a post that isn’t a positive post usually it’s not full of hatred, but just frustration and usually RTI steps in quickly. In the US AGOA is amazing with RTI help and repair on the west. Their service center quickly helps even if it’s just over the phone with time. Also a shout of to Tony at Talon on the east. He’s also really great. I buy a lot from Tony and he is great with a lot of available RTI inventory. Got my P3 from Tony. RTI makes a lovely product. Not perfect but a great high end usable accurate hunting/competition Airgun that lasts that can be past down to your kids.

So glad to see RTI jump on this. Would be great to know when the Mora is back and how the end results stacks up on the target!

Zulus LRF

That’s how I tightened the last bit out of my POI vs POA. I played with the speed first. Then out of desperation I adjusted what was entered as scope height. After a little BC, speed and height adjustments I got it dialed.
Nice, I finally solved my issue with the Thermnight which was the same as yours. Except I was incorrectly measuring from barrel to thermal lens rather than digital lens 🙃 I could've saved hours of time last week and ammo.

Polymag

when the Bulldog first came out, i sent one to pitbull for the carbine power build.
it was a ground shaker for sure when you pulled the trigger !
it loved the polymags and took many whitetail and hogs with them.
we used a jack russell for tracking in our swamps, he was needed because
the polymag would expand and not pass thru and did not cause a large blood trail.
was shooting them around 1025fps with good consistent accuracy.
then began shooting 125gr aero magnum solid slugs for better blood trails.

Anybody have the TXEDM043?

My TXEDM042 will fill 6.8l in around 45 minutes dry to 4500psi. About 75 minutes for a 9l. Top off 3000 to 4500 on the 6.8l is 15 minutes.
The M042 has the dual filter, one side is liquid collection the other final dry and clean.
Auto shut off

There is a model with built in water reservoir and radiator.

To newbie, would be ratters…

Before the BRKs stole my heart through performance. The Gamo Urban and Artemis pp700sa did the bulk of my pesting. Heck the pp700sa was my number one rat killer. More kills combined than all my BRKs… The pictured 1701p is murder on them at close range. The single shot loading is the only downside.
PP750 is my favorite go to for barn pesting....Love that unit!

JSB Jumbo 18s and CPHPs at 25 yards…

Luis, amazing how the FPS using different TP settings kept both different weight pellets the same! And, the POI for both the same! Great shooting! I am having a blast with the new to me Taipan Vet2 I got from Dillon, I am back in the compact pcp game like you! Nice photos.
Thanks Randall, looking forward to reading more about your impressions of the Taipan Vet 2… you should consider posting up some images of your new rig…🙏

N/A  Improved accuracy with higher FPS?

My mental model for what is happening when you pull the trigger is a sine wave starts down your barrel because of the excitation of the release of air. The barrel wants to move a tiny, tiny amount in some direction due to the excitation. When you tune the gun you are trying to find a pellet (most important variable by far in my experience) and tune that minimize the difference in this movement shot to shot. Lots of things, including temperature, can influence what is "best". My one 177 gets tuned to shoot faster than most of my other guns partially because it can. I've tried a variety of speeds in it and not seen much difference in accuracy. So I set it up to shoot 880-900 in part because I want to be able to cleanly kill squirrels (which it does very nicely).

In short, speed is a secondary variable in my opinion which does not strongly affect accuracy. Logically a stronger pulse from air could lead to more excitation of the barrel and potentially less accuracy but I have not seen it. 177s do not use a lot of air per shot and the barrel tends to be thicker than other calibers so if this is a factor at all it would be significantly less for 177. As many others have said, you have to test and see what you think.

Proper Way To Ship A Carbon Fiber Tank

Protect the valve , I can't stress that enough ! I have shipped about 14 -15 tanks over the last year or two . Two broken gauges . The tanks are pretty much indestructible , the vulnerable part is what sits on top ! It needs to be packed like it will be dropped out of an airplane. Also any tank that is out of certification must be completely empty . DOT regulations.
