More Benches have been added! PA CUP 2025

Why is @Tpatner412 so pretty 😍
It's a blast. Worth every penny just to meet the people we chat with and read posts from on here. I'm guessing @Michael will be there along with many others. If you can swing the trip you'll feel like you got a bargain afterwards with the contacts you make while there. Such a great group of people!
I missed last year because my rental car got screwed up. Flew there, couldn't get a car, flew home, missed it. But I would have met 2 of my heros, Ted and that Lauren girl who wins about 50 competitions a year. I already met Rick Rehm and Joe Rhea (Cyclops) last time. Super cool! Cyclops told me some hilarious stories! OMG! ....ALL the Youtubers are there. It's a blast. I just hang out, no shooting, still super fun.

Possibly An Admin Question

I stumbled across this forum many times through online searches for information before joining. After seeing all the info posted I decided I'd be silly not to join, and so glad I did. Once I looked through classifieds had my eye set on 2 different posts, but like you had to wait my 10 day period. Missed one of them in that time, and during the waiting process decided the other listing wasn't really what I was looking for. I later ended up finding other classified listing deals that I think were better suited to my wants and needs.

Long story short. The wait is worth the end goal and the knowledgebase is immense.

Match Gear Prep - What gear do you bring to matches?

So I still consider myself fairly new to the FT game and still learning a lot!!
Im a gadget guy and gear junkie but find myself always not prepared properly and over prepared in areas not necessary.
Talking with a buddy this weekend sparked some more thoughts as I see everyone shows up to matches differently.
Some loaded to the gills and others with nothing.
I like the approach as slim as I can get it but what are some items you always bring to every match.
Last weekend got me caught in several very different weather situations leaving myself wondering how I can prep better.
Id love to see a list and pictures of everyones setup, gear bags etc...
Ponchos? Waterproof paper? First aid kit? Cleaning kit?
I feel this info would not only help myself but maybe all of us in seeing something we didn't think of to pack for the course.
Now this could be stuff you just keep in the car but have with you for a FT match either close or far away.
Pictures would be awesome as well.
Class doesn't matter.

Another New Member

Hello all! Another new member here. Been into backyard plinking, trap shooting, and varminting off and on for many years. Back of my property butts up to the sweet potato fields here in California. Shoot all types of firearms and airguns. Owned a Benjamin pump, RWS and Beeman single strokers in the past. PCP journey started with a FX Impact MK2. Now I currently own the M3 .35. Just figure I introduce myself. Lots of good info here.🤙
Welcome !

Gauging interest in a future Grand Prix...

I am in for all the shoots in Duncan. Worth the 3 hour drive to spend a few days in such a beautiful location. All these trees are a nice change from the desert environment. Tom has been most generous with this piece of his farm and his Dutch oven cooking. Looking forward to meeting some new shooters at a Grand Prix.

DIY receiver that needs ideas

Some feel there is a need for sealing of the poppet stem. I do not. If the stem guide is long enough, there is very little leakage that occurs there. Just my opinion.

One thing you can do with that being removeable, that I feel is advantageous, is to be able to change stem diameters. Stem diameters have a large effect on the tuning (closing force) of the valve.

Again, I feel hard stops for valve opening distance (in any form) are not a good idea but may be fine for you.

With access to the valve (like you have) you can do other interesting things. Like making an adjustable balanced valve.

Your design is similar to the AEA hp series and I have an adjustable bv in one of mine.

Keep us updated.

Benjamin  Custom airgun parts?

Be forewarned ... going with Light hammers the use of an SSG becomes less needed and can lead to the requirement of hammer spring to get so heavy/strong that cocking is excessive and trigger loading etc is far from ideal.
Thanks but this is the opposite of my problem again.

May want to check your GX CS2 inspection plug.

PLEASE DO NOT DO WHAT I DID AND RECOMMENDED. My CS2 quit today, I think the overload tripped, while filling my Caiman. It was only at about 150 bar so pressure was not high. It had been working fine. I started taking it apart and that washer I installed to seal the area is missing. It was too big to fall in and was trapped but I am worried I did not anticipate how far towards the piston the washer projected. The piston does not seam damaged except for a slight scratch but somehow that washer went somewhere and I am worried it got chewed on enough it went inside the cylinder. I cannot move the piston and from the position it is in I cannot get the rod off the crankshaft to complete the disassembly. I will continue to mess with it but I may have ruined my CS2. I would hate for anybody else to have a similar experience. I wish now I had left that area open as several of you recommended. Or at least plugged it with a plastic washer that could not do damage. The washer I used was mild steel.
Could of just put a piece of tape over it on the outside, and that way it would of blown off if needed as well.

Early plugs are solid, but those are also vented differently than the newer compressors.
