Looking for Bull pup, quiet back yard friendly without adding mod to barrel. What do I call back yard friendly? Shooting around 15 to 18fp. My thoughts, why would I want to shoot more then that unless shooting over 60yds or game bigger then a racoon or back yard is no closer then the distance of 2 football fields to next door neighbor. lol I have PCP's that can shoot 60 fp, like using a roofing hammer to nail tack in the wall for hanging a picture. Looking at the new Cricket 2. Sugestions TNX

My .177 Vulcan 3 are pretty quiet with its build in moderator, and thats pushing 13 grain fast
I mostly shoot 75 - 100 M
shooting 50 M at a old fridge, or for that matter a spinner there, and the smack of the slug or pellet landing are higher than the rifle i think, mind you i am right up against the rifle when shooting so the "twang" of the hammer are louder than the pellet leaving the rifle.

At distance when things are in sync and the wind are not too nasty, you stand a great chance of having most of your magazine on a 2" shoot N see target ( 75 M )

Downside, if you want to add more "muffler" the AGT rifles use a 14 mm thread, but while i do have done that myself, then it is mainly just for the looks, if the rifle are more quiet by the added huma moderator it got to be very little.

Thanks for your info. Went with Cricket Smooth very happy with, accuracy and sound. Sorry didn't reply sooner.
Hello all

Still having issues with my Wildcat MK3 shot spread. There are no leaks as far as the manometers are readings are concerned. Being in the UK, we have a painful limit of Sub 12ftlb.
Here are the readings I'm getting. There going from high to low then back round again every 5-8 shots roughly. One minute I'm grouping hole in hole at 25 yards then the pellet goes off course by about 10-15mm using JSB Heavy Diablo 10.34gn.

I've checked the pellet probe depth, seals on reg and transfer port. Very weard.

Really appreciate if anybody could advise.

Air is quite smokey here in Michigan from Canadian wildfires. Might need to retire to basement and shoot air pistols!

Got a good respirator and the particulate filters for it?

Might interfere with cheek weld, but an air pistol???

They call them “wild” fires, but many are “fires” set by “people”... Maybe “wild people“?🙀🤓🙈
It was a good week at the Whittington Center, despite the hail, yearly rain total in 4 days and a small tornado.

My two girls participate in YHEC, a shooting and hunting challenge sponsored by the NRA. Little one shot 2 personal records and scored well overall.

The older one finished her YHEC career on the way to college. She went out with a bang. She placed in the top 5 in 3 out of 8 contests, 5th high individual score total and her squad took overall point championship. With that highpoint win, the squad has a paid entry into the National YHEC.

I am very proud of both gurlz.

What a week for you and your daughters, you are a lucky dad…
DRY! We haven't had appreciable rain all May. I spend every other day — all day — watering! Lawn, gardens, planters. We need rain — and not a gully washer! We need slow rain all day.
L.Leon
“Water” too much or too little… may you get the moisture you need.
Okay, got my picks in and have changed a couple of O-ringe on my Maverick, one in the regulator and the bottle one too.
On the face of it that seem to have worked, but i do not throw my arms in the air just yet, maybe tomorrow then the rifle have been overnight and the gauges still say the same pressures.

I will say who ever at FX that install those O-rings in such silly places, well they do not pay the person enough.
I will encourage FX think more about the people that are to maintain their rifles when they design in the future.
The 10X 1,5 mm ring at the base of the regulator hole, that should not be there, it should be on the regulator body itself, and so be 10 X more easy to replace.
Same go for the bottle O-ring, why is it down there in the hole in the bottle fitting, it should be on the male part on the rifle.
Peashooter
Well  Bottle and rifle down to 50 BAR this "morning" nothing else to do but replace every other O-ring on the regulator i have not changed yet.
At least i was not able to feel hear the air leak last night, so i must be on the right path.
Really i should have replaced every O-ring yesterday, but i am a lazy old bastard.

Regulated pressure still fine, so the air are not leaking after the regulator.
OK, so how do birds do this? Shelter over window and through the screen.

You was probably dive bombed.
At my friends place ( little old former farm ), as soon as he open just about anything, swallows sweep in and think they have a place to build a nest, his 2 dogs ( rottweiler and rottweiler MIX ) go ballistic when a birt come into the house.

WIND.

Also, some birds can aim their poop in directions other than straight down. Never get near a higher cormorant even if it is several feet off to the side from you! And...their oily fish poop takes multiple washings to get out. Nasty stuff. Yes, they aim with purpose.
OldSpook
They squirt... you knew that you just forgot. ;)
I finally got one, and with my #2 rifle the AGT Vulcan 3

I was dialing a little back and forth on it, and dident like shooting pellets at 50 M, so even if i have said the V3 will just see pellets from now on, well i think i will just have to admit that i am a slug addict.

So i was shooting the 13 gr Zan slugs at the long range, and since we found the range finder it is verified by leupold to be 71 M as i was shooting from a table in front of our shot shed in the field.
Anyway was shooting at a bunch of stuff in the back of the field, until i saw a fly land on my week old cardboard shoot N see target backing.
So i figured, well you just shot a shot that was 2 inches low and 1/2 inch Left of where you aimed, so using that i took aim at the fly.
And i whacked it good, well good enough there was fly splatter beside the .177 hole.

71M fly.jpg

We also agreed upon making some benches to shoot from not in out shed, but way further back, this will give me +120 - 125 M to the far end of the field, and then we will have to figure something 50 M for my friend, but i think that could be made at the end of the 20 foot container in the field used for driver tower when the boys race their big RC cars.
So gotta come up with a way to make 2 fixed bench rest tables for us, CUZ both of us are not happy shooting from the picnic tables we use now, not least seat being way too high VS the level of the rifle on the table.

It's sure fun to wack flies. Just don't try it on the living room walls or on a window! 😂🤣😅
Last Year's FX Impact Squirrel Hunting Build

FX Impact
.22 600mm Barrel
DonnyFL Shogun
NSA 28.5gr @ 960fps

This was a fun year! Furthest shot taken was 96 yards on a small grey. The NSA 28.5gr Slugs shoot amazing out of the original STX Slug Liner.

My Buddy comes in from Kentucky every year to visit family and come chase some tree tails with me. Paired him up with a FX Compact .25 this year and he just could not miss! Only spent the afternoon out the farm and harvested quite a few. All meat was used for jerky! (probably my favorite way to prepare squirrel)

Last year my neighbors rose bush housed around 6 pairs of House Sparrows and they would visit my Martin House everyday....

Took about 4 consecutive afternoons and some .25cal Hades to get rid of them.

If you are a Purple Martin Landlord having a way to get rid of these pest birds is key to having a PM Colony every year!

I have only had 2 Pairs of House Sparrows visit the house this year so maybe they got the message haha!

This was the build for 2021 Squirrel Season

FX Impact
Custom Cut 410mm .30cal STX Barrel
DonnyFL Emperor
JSB .30 Hades @ 820fps

My favorite Squirrel Build so far, perfect compact size for those all day hunts hiking up and down the Ozark Hills in thick woods looking for the Hickory Trees

Did you do the modifications yourself?
Ozark
Yes, just shortened the barrel liner and housing.

Thank you!
just wondering, I found the map of airgun people and it's not correct for where I live, maybe someone can tell me how to fix it.. also would be nice to get a locals conversation going and see what others are doing in our area.. I've never imagined that there might actually be people in the same state even.. I thought we were spread out states apart..
please respond of you are anyway close and maybe we could get a conversation going..

I just looked at the map and it shows two people in my zip code area. I'm not one of them, probably because when I entered my state I didn't name a town. Maybe this is why your info isn't what you expected to see?

I did put in the state and town but I didn't see a address spot and I am 12 miles out of town.. but I guess at least it's close..
are you in my area??

No, I’m in CO.
Just learned today that my biggest fan ( in any way ) have left for the big pasture in the sky.
May you frolic as long as you please Fie.

So much love for me that seeing me made it very hard for her to remain upright, her butt became that happy seeing me.

Sad day for you, remember the good times with that handsome girl. Dogs love us unconditionally and we are lucky and better men and women because of that love. I simply adore my little Jack Russell…
Graduation party tomorrow. Got the food started. 17# brisket, seasoned with PSG and will use the tinfoil boat method once internal temps hit 185.

1c. pepper
1/2c. coarse ground salt
1/4c. Garlic

4h at 275
4-6h at 325 (up to 185f internal)
Foil wrap with top exposed, finish low heat until fat renders. Trimmings cooked down for BBQ sauce base. (Everything I know I stole from the 'net 😉)

Ok, ok! It was worth the wait.

I mashed up a lot of air today, 12 L bottle 130 bar to 320 in 20 minutes.
Okay a little more CUZ at 250 BAR we learned putting compressor on long cheap extension chord,,,,, not smart. So that cost us a 16 A fuse.
So the wanna be electrician whipped up a adapter cable to tap into 1 phase of the 3 in the 440 V plug on my friends wall, and of course using proper garden hose gauge wire, so no problems once pumping resumed.

Beer Nap
Before my eyes actually focused on the picture I thought that it was some kind of a fancy hamster cage.
Taking a short break from the shooting bench. Nutrition before the mission.

Black pepper
Butter
Salt
Parmesan cheese
Garlic
Jalapeno

Sear on high, flip sear on high. Finish on indirect heat. Life is good!

We or should i say my friend are avid BBQ users, i have seen my friend hovering over the BBQ on both X mas evening and new years evening, and during it snowing and raining.
It have however been a long time since we transitioned to a propane grill, CUZ the coal way while we still use it on trips with fishing rods or RC cars, then it is a pain in the butt.

Mind you in the depth of winter in sub zero temperatures on fishing trip with the surf casting rods, well so nice with a little warm food, and after that put glass bottle Coco on the grill to enjoy that warm too.
A Cocio cold or hot, just about one of the best things in Denmark.
